I had cat food to bring back and they refused to take it back. I had 31 cans so I am out quite a bit of money. I just wanted to exchange it. I didn’t want no money back. I won’t be back to your store EVER! I have a rewards account so they could clearly see the purchase. My cats won’t eat your generic wholehearted food line.

Great place to get my fur babies their food and stuff. The staff is so kind and will help you in any way they can. And you can take you pet In with you. They are for sure one of the best pet store in town . I want to really thank the staff at the petco in South gate. If it wasn't for the help and time they gave me. I don't no how I would have made it through the first month of a three month old puppy. You all took the time to show me all my options and got to know Willow and how her personality is. There are pictures of Willow when I first got her. She.loves the dog with the heart beat and warming sack.

Store an tanks looked decent. A few dead salt water fish but other than that they all looked good. Kinda disappointed, I wanted the Bubble Anemity(59.00) and the Clown fish(49.00) that were interacting with each other but the lady couldn't get it out of the live rock so I offered to buy the rock(24.00) AND that anemity and the fish if she could get the 2nd anemity off the rock. She couldn't get either to release so I offered to buy ALL of them if i could get a discount. Was told NO which was ok I undersood but I'm not buying 2 extra things just to get the 2 things I wanted at full price. Not sure how they plan to sell anemities if they can't get them off the live rocks that arent cheap. Wasn't a wasted hour long drive 1 way though(this was the closest Petco)!! I found a Long tentacle anemity that was rooted in the sand so easy to get, 2 sand sifter star fish and a cute little Royal Gramma Basslet!

You can get anything you could need for most animals. They carry all kinds of goodies for your pet. They have an assortment of baby snakes, hamster's and cool lizards 🦎

They have a few varieties of saltwater fish and supplies. They need to work on their tanks as some of their crustaceans dont live more than a few days. But prices on their fish are great

Absolutely ridiculous. No sense in listing a pickup person. I will not be back. Given a hard time picking up my own order that has been paid for and it's not like it was $20. Tonette at the 800 number let me know there was nothing they could do. Great customer service!

I really liked this place until today!!!! My dog was supposed be groomed over 2 months ago we were cancelled on by them and then told they couldn’t get us in again for a month and a half. So today when we arrived of course she has way to much hair and she had a knot on her ear we were told they couldn’t cut her that she would have to go to the vet to get the know removed well we got home and did it ourselves. So looks like we will be going to a different groomer they didn’t even offer to reschedule. So if u want someone dependable this isn’t the location at all…… we also bought the monthly program which isn’t cheap which at this point was a waste of money….

Cat and Dog supplies are good however I had purchased snails and crabs for my salt water tank and within one day my fish were dead. The employees there had told me they had no idea the difference in the snails and most of the tanks are looking horrible and the employee said they cant mix enough salt water to do the water changes as they should. My corals from there also died. If you cant have knowledgeable employees for exotics then don't have them and have customers spend crazy amounts of money to have everything die.

Had a bad run in with this store and tried to get in contact with the corporate and they kept giving me the run around and wouldn’t make it right and the district manager would not do anything to make it right either won’t waste any more time or money at this store

I went in to get my dog food and waited at least 15 minutes plus to get waited on. Watched a woman “tagged” Heather FINALLY come up and wait on me being rather rude. Don’t think I’ll return there again. There was an associate that was helping train and she thought the manager was going to help me.

Someone came to me and told me they could no longer care for their pet lizard. They couldn't tell me what type of reptile he was or really anything about it and were hoping i would take over it's care. They just kept calling it a "lizard". I spent some time online and I ended up going to petco in heath ohio. I explained to them how neglected this little guy had obviously been. He was in a tank less than 1/3rd the appropriate size. He had been fed rotten crickets, he had less than half of the substrate he needed and has a very visible calcium deficiency. Since we didn't expect to have him and Christmas had just passed we were trying to collect everything we could on a tight budget, to give him what he needs as soon as possible instead of waiting till next payday. The manager here helped me find everything I could that would help him for now until I can afford to make more improvements next week. I actually could not be more grateful that the workers knew what he needed and what information they didn't have, since he is a rare species, they found for me. I will definately be shopping here from now on. When he gets in better shape I will also be bringing him back with me so they can see how much they helped. I definately recommend

Took my dog for a nail trim. The lady the took our info seemed very nice. She took my dog to do his nails as I walked around the store waiting. She never noticed I walked over to see how it was going and she was mistreating him. I did let her finish his nails but I will never take him back nor shop there again! Use caution taking your animals here please!!

2 young ladies who helped me were awesome. Got to play with ferrets which was cool. 1 of the ladies took a good amount of time helping me find the right fit for 2 dog harnesses. Perfect atmosphere and raging good customer service. Definitely recommend.

Don’t go here they don’t want your business. I went in tonight to buy something for my cat. It was $10 more than on their website. The people working gave me the run around and didn’t want to honor their online price. I just ordered it from Amazon. Poor customer service and people wonder why people shop online.

We were struggling to find a terrarium for our tree frog. We found an amazing deal on this one and the associate was incredibly helpful. She helped us find the items we were missing, explained why we needed them and helped us to find the best deal. We drove an hr for this item and were very satisfied.

Super disappointed with sales/stocking in this store. I wasn't able to buy a fish because the "aquatic" specialist needed to be there to net and bag the fish. I still want the fish, but do I need to call ahead to ensure the "aquatic" specialist is available? The cashier was afraid she would "hurt" the fish. Nothing special, just a catfish. And again they didn't have the frozen blood worms.

My five year old loves to see the fish and small animals, who were all clean and happy. She enjoys getting to pick whatever she wants from the 2/$5 dog toy bin at the registers and she liked browsing the selection of dog cookies for our pup's birthday. Associate was kind and patient with her as she chatted him up, handed him money, and he graciously gave change back to her instead of diverting to me. I appreciate the wide aisles and bright lighting to make navigating the store stress free.

The service at this place is top notch. The staff are well informed about the food and can make great recommendations when you provide a little history about your pet. The prices for the quality dog food brands are reasonable when using the membership rewards. Quite a few grain-free options for my two labs (both are allergic to grains). I have been shopping here for almost 9 years. They definitely earned our patronage.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. They offer free aquarium water testing and are very knowledgeable on how to correct any issues found. This kind of service saves you money because you do not end up buying a bunch of different products trying to fix the issue.I have a 30+ year old red eared slider, he has survived this long because of quality care. Care and education that has come from books and the advice of professionals.

More than enough selection of cat products to meet our needs - we often leave with more than we expected to purchase. Friendly staff. 3 different pet stores within about a mile and this is our go-to pet store. Thanks to staff and store manager.
