I usually only get prescriptions here. They're a little pricey, especially when there's a Marc's and Aldi right across the street. But they do have good meat, and good sales, so I'll pick up a few sale items while I'm there.

I don’t know what happened to the store, but it used to be a fairly decent store. The reason why I say this is recently I’ve noticed a lot of expired, and moldy food on the counters and the shelves. The store doesn’t seem as clean and the registered and in spite of being fully manned are slow as heck, are they under new management or have they just put quantity over? April 5, 2024 went back to this giant eagle big mistake understaffed mismanaged the lady that’s running check out one won’t take anybody with more than 12 items even if it’s a little old lady in spite of all the registered being back up down the aisle she still staying to the 12 items unless this is gotta be the worst giant eagle in the state

Compared to other giant eagles this place is awful. The selection of meats and products in general is basic and you pay a premium. There is literally no effort put in to keeping this store competitive in any way. The elderly staff is as sad and depressed as they come and are rarely friendly. They seem offended that they have to talk to customers. I doubt any effort will be put in to improving the store as it has been this way for decades

Just stopped in for a couple of things we needed, not regular customers, but we're pleasantly surprised! A lot nicer store than ours in Bolivar and a lot better selection of groceries.

###mouse sightings ###We were in GE shopping last week and found this little guy. He was in the cheese cooler by the mozzarella balls. I Immediately told a worker who was walking down the isle. He did not seem to be startled by it. He stated oh we have been trying to catch him he has been eating through the packages.🤢🤢🤢

Selection keeps getting smaller as the the prices continue to climb.Quality of produce and meat has really declined.Bakery runs out of everything fast as they're not making enough anymore.I only shop here when I have to now.It's sad. This used to be my favorite grocery store.

Friendly Workers and always there to help. Pretty Straight forward place. To map the best route of the store start on the right side of the store then head to the back, make a loop around the store to the left side then meet the cashiers upfront.

This is my favorite grocery store. I know when I’m buying from Giant Eagle the products will be of high quality and freshness. I love how I can use the self-checkout. I’ve done it so much I’ve memorized the produce bar codes. This store is always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will drive out of my way to shop at this store. Giant Eagle offers points on their advantage card for every dollar spent. It adds up quickly and I save hundreds of dollars a year using their “perks”. Shopping here is satisfaction guaranteed!

Not much of anything I want. Too bad only Giant Eagle and Aldi only large grocery options in Hartville. Drove to Green. Whent to Acme and Aldi. The Aldi in Green almost looks like Trader Joe's.

Went here with a friend and they had Italian Rainbow cookies which I was so excited for! I grabbed a container and instantly noticed that there was mold on them 🤢 There were 10 containers in total that had mold on them with sell by date of July 30th!! We immediately took them to customer service and she was like OMG that's disgusting! Make sure to look carefully if you buy any bakery goods!

It was beyond crowded. The lines for the checkouts were ten people deep. But at least they had the checkouts open for customers. But they closed one checkout and then fortunately reopened it again.

Had 2 carts full and no one to help push one! Would have been nice to have had help! One person that worked there did walk behind me -- no offer to help even though he saw me struggling. He stood outside the whole time watching me - then walked back in -- maybe he said he was helping but he didn't! Store is small and cramped -- people aren't the friendliest neither. Meat selection sucks! Not much to chose from. Wasn't happy with my experience.

They have a very friendly staff. They are always knowledgeable, kind and willing to help. The lines usually are not too long at this location. They offer curbside pickup, whether for grocery or pharmacy. They have hot food options, bakery, deli, meat department (get to know your meat cutters. They can improve your meals and knowledge greatly)!

This place is always packed bc it’s the only store in town but there is never enough employees. You are always standing in a checkout line longer than you are there to shop. Most of the employees are retirees which is great except that they cannot move fast enough to handle any checkout with speed. Maybe it’s technology or something I am not sure but I would pay more for my groceries and gladly shop anywhere else. Not worth the wasted time in line.

Superb customer service/employees! This particular Giant Eagle so happens to be in Lake Township, which is middle to upper-middle class. So if. you happen to notice people looking down their noses at you don't be surprised or angry or nervous or whatever your particular flavor of reaction may be - just avert your eyes, quickly grab your beer or wine from their halfway decent selection, check the specials, grab a couple gift cards to places you know you're going to shop soon so you can get the fuel perks, then head across the street to Aldi's and/or Marc's and save yourself some green on groceries. If, however, you are one of those people that are well-off and constantly judging others without even having the smallest dialogue to base your opinion on - don't forget you could always make an online order and pick it up out front and we can avoid having to endure your Highness's scrutiny in the store.Be frugal

Self-checkout machines here are a pain to use compared to other places. And overall prices are higher than you'd pay at any other grocery store in the area.I give it 3 stars only because it's a clean store with good selection.

This Giant Eagle is terrible. On a busy Sunday they only have a couple registers open. Long lines. Most of the cashiers are rude and act like your bothering them. The layout is awful. Hard to find certain items. Only thing good about this store is the old dude who does carts. He is one of the only friendly ones that works there.

Wants to charge Meijer prices for not-so-Meijer quality. Bought a bag of Brussels sprouts and when I opened the bag, most were dime size, halfway covered with rough spots and covered in black holes and what could only be described as what looked like flea dirt. Definitely not worth the $4 or so that I paid for them. Use the extra gas to go to another store that has products worth what you are paying for them.

The store is clean/neat and somewhat organized. Good beer selection and A LOT of wine. The downside is check out. There are never enough lanes open. Judy is (nice but) a ridiculously slow clerk - she needs someone to bag for her at all times. Also, when there are 4 carts in line with all items still in their cart, the next clerk to open should not take the last 2 carts in line but rather the first 2. Not nice to those who have been (painfully) waiting longer.

Used to be one of our favorite places to shop, however it now has become nothing but a nuisance to shop here. They allow random solicitors to set up tables around the store and harass the customers over and over again. Today alone, we were approached by them three times in one shopping trip. I hope management can listen to feedback about this.

We were in town for a family reunion, and my oncologist chanted up my medication regime. We called 3 pharmacists with little hope of getting it filled. Kristin at Giant Eagle, Hartville not only had it available and ready by the next morning, it was less expensive than at my hometown pharmacy. Shout out to Kristin, my cancer treatment didn’t skip a beat because you cared!! I had tears picking it up. Thank you again!!

Nice staff, the pharmacy staff is wonderful! I received both of my covid-19 vaccines here and they were courteous, well organized and made me feel at ease. Appreciate them!
