Great place to shop when you want a good price, and one that's usually better than most of their competitors. Secondly, employees have always been helpful, never a once have a disliked my customer service. Lastly, I love that this company (least in my region) isn't overally pushy with gimmicks, etc.

An otherwise great experience there are some flaws. I asked a question about what bird seed bag sizes the store had and the young man told me to check the bird aisle. Also bought some meat sticks here that expired earlier in month. The man behind the gun counter however was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Went there to look at pistols. Friendly staff, was able to access triggers to get a feel for the firearm. Good selection (better than my local gun shop) for a wider range of pricing.

Chicks rotting in brooders. Dead and LIVE chicks being dumped in the dumpster. Disgusting bedding in almost every brooder. Terrible care for their animals. I hope they stop selling animals and stick to inanimate objects. Disgusting behaviour.Edit: unfounded allegations is such a lie. There’s videos of people that work in the store walking out to the dumpster with boxes of chicks, and tossing them in the dumpster. Then when you walk over to the dumpster, there are a bunch of dead and live chicks in it.There are videos or ROTTING chicks sitting in brooders in the middle of the store.

SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!Management is absolutely terrible, and do not take care of the animals that are dependent on them. Dead chicks, dirty living areas and refuse to give the animals food that is part of their diet. Absolutely heartbreaking, I can’t believe Rural King has allowed this to happen. Will not be giving my business anymore, and will be sharing the word.

This was our first visit to a Rural King location. Beautiful area, ample parking. It was extremely large inside, but the vast majority of the store is used for clothing. My husband and I live in suburbia but are building a food forest in our front yard, so our main concern was garden supplies. They had surprisingly little despite being so large (maybe because it's late in the season?). For example, I found no seeds, very few soil amendments (I needed perlite and peat moss; Rural King had neither, but the Tractor Supply next door did), and no pots in the size I needed. However, what gardening supplies they had were great prices and mostly on sale. Their prices on galvanized steel trash cans are the best I've seen (I use them to plant little fruit trees; cheapest I've seen was at Lowe's for $33.99 while Rural King had them for $26.99). I picked up a raised garden bed/greenhouse combo for a great price. Their 2-gallon sprayers were on sale for $9, just $2 more than I normally buy the smaller ones for. The chicks were aptly adorable; I can't wait for the day I can eventually have chickens again. The cashier, Brayden, was not very friendly and said nothing to me until I greeted him. Also, we were never approached by an employee and had to seek someone out to get help at one point.Overall, Rural King is surprisingly large and just as surprisingly lacking in the things I needed most. The employees weren't particularly welcoming, either. However, I do think it's worth a visit for the deals they have on a lot of their merchandise.

It makes me sick that I had to give them a star to post on here! This place needs shut down the way their animals are treated are horrible and disgusting! Absolutely horrific! This place and all other rural kings need to be investigated! So it's all out there that the Hamilton location is all about animal abuse so please please beware of the chickens you buy etc!! get on the site on fb and you'll see the pictures

I went to this store in May and bought some chicks. I asked for 4 Brahma's and they grew up to be meat chickens that died because they were so fat. This is ridiculous because I paid for brahmas. I think this store is dishonest and they do not take good care of their animals as several of the chicks pens had no water or food. This is unacceptable Rural king do better. I want a refund. THIS STORE NEEDS SHUT DOWN!!! countless dead baby chicks, one of them even SMUSHED to death... and not giving their rabbits an ESSENTIAL part of their diet. horrible conditions for the animals. this is cruel and shameful. as an owner of chickens and rabbits i am truly appalled.

You don't have to live in the country to shop here. Naturally, they do have a good garden selection but I go to get cat food and bird food and supplies. Through the pandemic, they were the only ones had the only food my cats would eat. Great customer service too. Was just there and while it was really busy, people were taken care of quickly

Unique farm store. Have a large selection of Carhartt clothing, gloves boots, tools, lawn and garden, animal care for every kind of farm animal.Feed, bedding, tack and other care items.They have an impressive gun sectionand I've been told they have great prices on guns.When I was there this store looked like it was the day after Black Friday.Lots of gaps on the shelf, product not lined up or in the right spot.Good spot for unique gifts.

Quickly becoming a favorite. They carry a good line of clothing, boots and accessories. Almost any hardware item can be found there. Also nice selection of guns at reasonable prices. If they don’t have it you may not need it.

The Hamilton store is ran by a bunch of rock stars that know their products, even the newer younger staff. Great prices compared to competitors, so if you want to save a buck I would check here before going anywhere else. Nice basketball u breakable basketball hoop, and if there are any sportsmen reading this, they are stocked up pretty well on .556 rem, .308, 7.62, 357 mag, 38spl, 12 ga, even saw a few 350 legend and 7.62x54r.

We bought a gas push mower from this store. It was not working properly when we got it so we brought it into the store and Jason said that he would take a look at it and if he can’t fix it, they would replace it. It has been well over two weeks and we have not heard a word. We called to check up on the status and we were told Jason was on vacation until that next Thursday. So I tried to call again today again and was told they have no idea what is going on but they don’t refund things like that. It is absolutely ridiculous that we haven’t at least got a call to update us. They told us to call back in tomorrow. When I asked why we keep getting told to call back, they were rude and pushed it off saying there is nothing they can do about it. At this point, I will never be buying anything from rural king that might need fixed or replaced because this is ridiculous.

Great store for rural needs. Awesome to get free popcorn and a cup of coffee while you shop! But workers were scarce.
