People are very nice, in Person not on phone, but I called after searching for hardware (Ace “Hardware”🙄) didnt know what I was asking about and after detailed explanation said no we dont have it. Not hey let me see if that’s available somewhere else, online, nothing…..Just nope dont have it. I would expect this from a Columbus store but thought this one would be different but just the same as any other place, they don’t care that much. He then proceeded to say “hey why don’t you come down here and take a look”.🤦‍♂️ if I wanted to I would’ve just done that, hence the phone call. Maybe they’re having a bad day I’ve been in there and they helped me out before but whoever I talked to today didn’t care one iota if anything in the store was ever sold again. Disappointing and wont be back. Do better, asked about HARDWARE!!! Its in your name!!!!!!!

Junk. Chainsaw Spend $700 on and caught fire 5 minutes later. Fixed and locked up after 10 minutes. Total trash. Wasted money. No exchange or nothing. Sorry nothing else we can do but sell you something else.

Wow I went to Home Depot and Lowe’s they only had what I was looked for online but ace hardware had it immediately and Jess was excellent professional and polite.

I visited this location for the first time today. I had to get a vacuum belt. As we walked in the store, we were immediately greeted by Brian, who quickly assisted us with a smile! Great customer service goes a long way and is harder to come by at larger stores. I’ll definitely be back!

I called in looking for a product I'm really having trouble finding anywhere locally or online for a good price without high shipping costs. Elaine (or possibly Alana/Elaina?) answered and was so polite and so helpful, she helped me find another brand that is still for organic gardening and safe for my trees. She was so patient and helpful even though she wasn't experienced in these products either. I greatly appreciate her help and she's an awesome example of great customer service! Thank you Elaine(Alana?Elaina? Sorry, terrible at remembering names.) I really appreciate your time and help today.

I love buying any items for my home at Groveport ACE Hardware! The employees always know where everything is in their store. They are happy to help you & take you to the item that you need. They will even carry it out to your car if needed... of course after you pay for it, lol! They also dont hassle you if you need to return anything. Happy customer 😊 Reese

So much to look at. Could spend hours looking around. Need more employees so everyone can be served. Had to wait awhile for help and maybe teach the men that women shop hardware too. My sister was actually ignored by two employees before being asked if she needed help. Then had to wait again for someone to show up.

Zach over there really knows his stuff. Dave will always do a great job on your small motors. Really went the extra mile on my John Deere chain saw and then my Stihl saw!

I have never had more of an amazing experience than when I visited this store. The lady behind the counter was far beyond helpful to direct me to the right isle and then in that isle I found a nice man who seemed like his job was to help only me. Amazing experience and time. I NEVER leave reviews for anything but I had such a positive experience here that I HAD to write about it.

Love this hardware store. I needed 6 items and as I entered the store, Evan asked if he could help. I rattled off the list. He kindly showed me where all the items were without having me to repeat my list. He asked if there was any other items and then rang everything up. When was the last time you went into a big box store with that kind of service? Even was super helpful!

I came in looking to get a key cut. Two young gentlemen there went out of their way to help me. Another older gentleman walked by, asked them if I bought the key from them, which I did not. If not, they could not help me.... he told the boy a couple times... The older guy never addressed me during the process. Just told the two boys they could not help me and walked away. I appreciate the younger gentlemen going out of their way to try to help. I am a little upset that the older gentleman did not at the very least give me somewhere I could go to get it cut.... or let me know how much it would have cost to use one of their keys. Way to show up the older guy in what customer service looks like young guys. Keep up the good work. I give you guys 5 stars but the cantankerous old man a 1 star.

Ordered a gutter cleaning tool that was supposed to arrive on the day it was gonna rain. They delivered it early now I can clean the gutters before it rains. Appreciate it! And the price was better than anywhere else 👍

So I first went online looking for an item. I found the item at this ace hardware(security door chime), I went to the ace hardware and started looking. The attendant asked if I needed help and he shows me to the doorbells. After I look for a moment, I go back to the attendant and explain to him better what I'm looking for, "oh, I've never seen those here. I can check the computer, but I've never seen them." I thanked him and told him no worries. I went back to the office to order it online only to find that I could order it online for same day pickup from that store. The attendant was helpful, but didn't care to go above and beyond. If you're looking for something, MAKE THEM CHECK THE COMPUTER... 🤣

What a refreshing change from my local big box hardware store. The staff here are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was accustomed to going into my local big box hardware store and never finding anybody to help me or when I did find somebody they became agitated with my questions or didn't know how to answer them. If they don't have something on hand they will even make phone calls to other suppliers to help you find your item. Even if the price on something might be a little bit higher to me it is completely worth it because of the help and positive experience that they provided.

Pretty typical for your small town hardware store. Prices are slightly higher than Lowe's or HD, but the local convenience makes up for that. Staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful.

One of the handymen that works with Ace came out and helped with a hot water tank issue (We had no hot water) we were experiencing. We had been going around and around for 21 days with Choice Home Warranty. They kept scheduling people that either came out and assessed the problem and then never came back or just never showed at all after confirming the appt. Ace came out and took care of the problem in a matter of hours. We originally told Ace that we were going to get a new hot water tank and did purchase it through them. The handyman came out and said let me take a look, I’d like to save you some money if a can. He determined that the tank itself was in good condition and that the cupling was bad. He cleaned the tank, replaced the cupling, and even taped up an area that could have been leaking carbon monoxide. Ace took the purchased tank back and immediately refunded the cost. We are so grateful for Ace and for Todd who came out and took care of the problem for us. We now have hot water again after 21 days of having cold water only and 21 days of stress caused by Choice Home Warranty.Ace is definitely the place!!!Pam and VerlaGroveport, Ohio

What a fantastic store. The gentleman who helped me (sorry, I did not catch his name), was so helpful - He walked through the store helping me find everything I needed. What a welcome change from the big box stores! I will certainly go back - even though it's nearly 20 miles from home - it is worth it! Thank you guys. They actually had a couple snow blowers in stock and when I called, was able to pay for one and then come and get it. They had it put together for me. When I arrived, their mascot distracted my daughter (old dog was precious and my daughter loved her) while I finished grabbing everything else I needed. The guy I asked about picking up my item went to get it and then left it sitting next to another display and I had no idea it was brought to the front knocking off one star because ACE Hardware prices are high! Heavy duty steel snow shovel was $22.99 while the lightweight aluminum snow shovel was $32.99. the 2 1/2 gallon gas can was also $22.99 and a 40lbs. rock salt bucket was the same price. The snow blower is a Toro single stage gas with pull start, and electric start back up. It was $439.99. Overall a pleasant experience if you need something and don't care you will pay a lot more for it.

Not only the cleanest ACE I’ve been to but the staff was helpful and friendly. Thanks for having the part I needed to get my A/C up and running in the middle of summer! Saving me a ton of $$$ (and from the heat).
