They used to give you a good amount for your items. Within the past year I have noticed the shelves are always empty, they hardly take anything and if they do take anything they try to scam you. I have had numerous bad experiences here. I had two huge dump truck toys that were originally $100 and a girl tried to give me $2.50 for them. Keep track of what you drop off and ask them how much they they are giving you for your items. They tried to take a tote full of toys, clothes and books with larger toys for $7. I’d rather donate my items than go here again.

Their buy counter is never open. I bought equipment and furniture in to be sold twice and the counter was closed. I understand not taking clothes but equipment is done in store and immediately so it’s a little ridiculous to not accept the larger items. Their store is practically always empty but they are always so busy. Makes sense. I’ll never come here again. Once upon a child in Columbus is poorly ran. I am from Cincinnati and they never had these issues.

UPDATE I called about 15 minutes after receiving a reply to this review, no answer to the call or the voicemail I left.They made 2 different accounts for me with store credit on both, when I only wanted store credit on 1 single account like anyone else. They did not allow me to purchase an item because the credit was split up $23.75 and $24.25, the item was $45. They refused to let me use all of the store credit or to make any accommodations at all for their mistakes. So I had to shell out the extra money when I sat for hours scrubbing items to sell. They took them, wouldn't even let me use all of my store credit, and took our cash too. Less money for the gas tank, or anything else we might need

From out of the area, and have been to many OUAC locations. This location had one tiny shelf of toys, the toys that were on the shelf were ridiculously priced. We were in and out within 5 minutes. The store is massive for there to be next to no toys on the shelves. I will say it was clean( mostly because shelves were empty).

You guys need to change the hours posted on your store to be accurate. I came in on Thursday at 630, because Google said they were open until 8 that might. The door was locked with the employees just staring at us. There are two different signs on the window with hours, one lit up that says open until 8pm, the other sign which is not lit up says open until 6. We were pointing to the lit up sign through the window and they just looked at us like we were stupid while also pointing to the window, but refused to come out and say anything about the hours when we were trying to tell them they are different. They were very rude, and while they were leaving the store I tried once again to tell them they need to update their hours on the store

Brought in a clean tote full of clean items in good repair. The person behind the counter when I dropped off was very rude and nasty with me. I received a text today to pick up my items. Was behind a very rude customer and told the staff that I thought it was uncalled for.Then I was told that none of my items (which are a lot nicer than most of what I’ve seen in the store) were unable to be taken because they smelled like cleaning supplies.I smelled everything (and asked a few other people to smell the tote after leaving the store.) everyone has come back with the same conclusion.My items are clean, smelled clean and are in good repair.I see no reason for them to refuse my items. I wasted my time yesterday and my lunch break today with this mess.I will be posting my items for sale in the future and no longer patronizing this horrible store.Take my advice and go to Walmart or the thrift store. Way nicer experience and better quality items for the price.Once upon a child just lost a very good customer today.Btw…. For LGBTQ folks… this store isn’t very inviting

Brought a basket in as a walk in on 3/23/23 and was told about a 3 to 4 day wait and was definitely ok with waiting because it was easy to identify that they were busy. I used to work at this location and I understood having a lot of buys to get done can be overwhelming so I patiently waited for a text stating my items were done. Well I never received a text and on 4/4/23 I made a phone call to the store. As stated before I know it can be hectic which is why I tried to be patient and wait for the text, but when I called the employee that answered was not exactly helpful, she could only tell me that she didn’t see my name and that it should already be done because she was working on items from the 1st. She told me I would have to come into the store to figure it out and was not exactly nice when I explained that I worked there before and that I know sometimes the texts don’t actually get sent to customers, she responded with “oh”.

Decent selection, but prices are a bit higher than other OUAC locations. Used cloth pocket diapers with NO inserts (so just the covers, basically) for $5? Bibs for $3? A free newborn hospital cap for $2 (see photo)? Who's pricing this stuff? I will say that their infant shoe selection is top notch (so many cute little shoes!!) and those prices are comparable to other Columbus OUACs. Big infant coat/snowsuit selection too. I have never tried to sell here, but I heard them offer $42 to a woman in front of me in line. I don't know what she was selling, but she seemed happy with the offer.

Took almost none of the clothes I brought, said the store was full. Wish I would have known when I dropped off my tote not after. Was told I could go to a different location. Not worth the 45 minute drive one way. Staff was not helpful either.

Very poor staff, and toys that are broke from 0 to a year old. Selling equipment, like baby toys and clothes. When given store credit, cut in half or 1/4th of what you sold. Manager does nothing about the little things and also can't do what she says. For example " I'll give you my number and we'll talk " never answersVery poor in every department. P.s they will gang up on you if they're is a problem, so if your just by yourself. Don't forget, 5 brains against you. Care out there y'all

I love once apon a child they are really amazing. I like to take my son's winter clothes in at then end of winter and see what they are willing to buy so I can use that money towards his spring and summer clothes and ect. I also really love that they have a rewards/ in store program so if I just put the $$ towards buying him stuff at this same store then I actually get more money for in store rather than cash. I find so much great stuff here from name brand toys, to name brand shoes barely used and so much more. I have also gotten things that are Walmart brand and maybe it be brand new still with the tags on it. I really suggest if you have the time to check this place out it's really a great store for babies toddlers and small children. I have even gotten t-shirts here for myself before.

I took a tote of items to this location as well as a location in Dublin. The store in Dublin reached back out to me via text a week later. I went that day to get the items that they didn’t want. I hadn’t heard from the Grove City location yet and it’s been a couple weeks. With the holiday and the fact that I didn’t have an appointment I figured it was just taking a while. Called today to find out they priced my stuff and donated the rest including a nice Husky tote which costs $20 itself. The staff was rude from the start. They claim the called and text but I have texts received from Dublin but not this store. Never doing business here again. Go to Dublin. Friendlier staff and easy to do business with.

took in a bag of clothes to sell and all were passed due to being “dirty” and “well loved” (almost all of them still had tags on them, and the lady checking me out even said there was no smell). they were also marked “out of style” even though everything was bought within the last 6ish months and i saw the same outfits in the store while i was browsing.

I will NEVER take clothes here again! First, they always CLAIM wear and tear on items but I put items that were brand new in the basket just to see if they’d take them and they didn’t! NOT A SURPRISE. I intentionally took off the tags and placed the items with the others. They offered me $32 for 2 pair of shoes and other clothes….I had Nike, Puma, NorthFace, Columbia and other name brands. This isn’t the first time or the second time they’ve done this but it will be the LAST! Every time we take what they didn’t to anther OUAC, they ALWAYS take more. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ITEMS HERE, YOU WILL BE LOW BALLED!

Total scam!!! I bought a dirty walker for 30$ cleaned scrubbed it brought it back to life added new batteries. Made it Perfect condition. I took it back to the store cause I didn't need it 2 weeks later with a new bouncy seat. I dropped it off. I forgot to call them called back in 24hrs they sold items and offered me 10$ hahahaha. They can keep that change they need it more then me! I've NEVER been in this store and won't again! Just go buy new it's the same price

I called before bringing a single large toy to the store and confirmed that they would be able to price on the spot. I arrive and cashier Zoe tells me that i would need to wait up to 3 days for an offer because they have to go in order. She was very rude and immature but I simply stated that i accepted those terms however it was not what i was told on the phone earlier. I walked out to my car where i reconsidered leaving the item and decided to bring it home instead. I go back in the store and not only was Zoe and about 3 of her coworkers all standing around my item but a separate girl was actually sitting on it! They hadnt purchased this from me and was still technically mine. I bring it home and it is broken! Nice way to treat other people’s property and your own customers- well, former customer for me.

Have been in twice to sell items. First time, I took in a brand new bouncer that had never been used, and a stroller that had never been used save for one time. Was told they couldn't buy because of "wear and tear". An absolute joke. Second time, took in some clothes that my daughter had never worn, or only wore once or twice, along with some spare clothes that a friend gave me for my son. Most of these clothes were brand name - GAP, Puma, Carter's - and they said that they couldn't take them because they weren't summer clothes and they didn't want them. They took maybe four outfits. Not only that, every time I have ever been to this location, employees can be heard throughout the store talking about the customers that walk in, making jokes about them, talking about how certain clothes smell a certain way. I saw them deny a woman's whole box of clothes because they didn't like the smell of her detergent. I felt like asking if they wash any of the clothes that they put up for sale. Clearly not, and that's disgusting. You couldn't pay me to return to this location.

I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews!!!I personally have never sold items, but I have been in multiple times to buy. The items are organized fairly well, even by color! The items are also very well priced—$1 for a onesie and I purchased a Bobby pillow for $10 (retail value is $35).As for the staff, no complaints there either! Friendly staff who respected my service dog and were very helpful.You’ll be seeing more of me! Thanks a bunch ❤️

I called before I made the hour drive to make sure they could look at my items same day, they confirmed. Once I got there two hours later they told me it would be two days before they could get to my things and to call on my way there instead of before I leave. I’m not going to pack totes into my car and actually start my hour drive if you can’t go through my items. I know stores get unexpectedly busy at times but this was very disappointing. They were rude and unprofessional, didn’t even say they were sorry. They told me I could leave my items there (after I asked) and I had one business day after they look through them to come back and get my items. With living an hour away I cannot always know when I can make that trip (you know, work, family etc) so that isn’t an option for me. This is the closest consignment shop for children’s clothes but I won’t go back. I would not recommend unless you’re wanting to purchase items.

I have been to this location 4 times and it seems Everytime I go the workers take less and less items. I dropped off a basket full of toddler clothes for boys and they were all nice and organized and clean. When I came to pick up them up they were thrown into the basket all crumbled up and some of the clothes had dirt on them. When I put them in the basket they had no stains and no dirt to begin with. There was no explanation for why they did not take any of my items. As a customer I'm really disappointed for the service I received. I will never bring my son's clothes here again it's not worth the 25 minute drive I take to get to this location.

I love this store! I always find super cute, hardly used, name brand clothes for a great deal. Recently took a stroller in to sell and received $40 for it. Was impressed, we actually only paid $20 for it at a garage sale! I also purchased a $300 stroller for $50 clearance. Don’t go In expecting to make money on your items, they are a for profit company. They need to make money as well. There are other options like craigslist and selling sites if you want to make more for you things! Excited they expanded! The store looks great! And as for the employees, never been treated bad. However, everyone has bad days, just smile and make the best of it!

Took in a basket of baby clothes to this location and some pictures and a couple of books. They put the bin on the counter and said this is what we can purchase from you not showing us anything and while my husband was checking out because we bought other items. I went over to grab our basket. I finally got to getting the basket out of the car and noticed. That the pictures and books I also took in to sell were not in the basket and aren’t on the buy receipt. This is not the first time this location has messed up. They also so picky on what they buy. All the clothes I took in had been washed right before taking in and made sure there weren’t any stains on them. They always say they can’t buy them because they are stained or worn out. Don’t think I will ever be going back to this location.

Took in some clothes my daughter had outgrown or things I bought that she never really wore. They didn't make an offer on everything but I was pleased with the offer I received for the items they did want to buy. I only gave 3 stars because when I dropped off I was told I could wait in store or come back later. I asked how long the wait would be and was told about an hour. It actually took almost 3 hours in total and I'm certain I moved that process along by asking a cashier how much longer it would be. It had been about 2.5 hours at that point and my bag full of items was still in the same spot as when I brought it in. After speaking up, it took about 20 minutes for them to look over my items and make an offer. So my only advice is don't expect to be in and out, that was my mistake. I just didn't want to have to make another trip later in the day.

Store is much bigger now that they remolded. Customer service was not that good. Workers talking about personal business, items they were buying due to stains. I came in with a basket of freshly washed and folded clothes, was offered $17.75 for 25 items which included 2 jackets. I did agree to the offer. Better to get $17.75 then giving them away to the thrift store or sitting at home. One thing that bothers me like I stated I took in clean folded clothes I was given my stuff just balled up tossed in my basket.

Absolutely the worst store experience I've seen. My wife brought in a rocking chair with the separate foot rest, an infant chair and a infant play mat all 3 in fair condition and barely used. Lady at the counter offered my wife $100 for all 3. She goes to do the write up and the manager says no do $19.80???????? Are you freaking kidding me!!!!!!!!!!! This is outrageous. They didn't even have the decency to tell my wife they was going to gouge her on price until after she signed. Then when my wife asked for the chair back they said it's to late you already signed for it. If I could post 0 stars I would. If you have any morals do not shop here. They do not deserve the business. My money is better spent elsewhere.

I dropped off a full basket of like new brand name I tems, a few even still had tags on them, on Sunday. I called Tuesday afternoon due to not getting a text saying my items were done and I could pick up. I was told that since I didn’t come in within 24 hrs of receiving the “finished text” (again, I never got one) that my items that they didn’t take were already donated and the items that they did want were already tagged and put out on the floor. I feel that a new policy needs to be in place to assure that the customer receives the text are in place before donating. And to receive such a small amount for the amount of items they did take is absolutely crazy with how much they sell the items for in store. I will not be back to sell or shop at the GC location and I will not recommend to any other parents.

Staff was so friendly, store was clean. I took in 30 items and they bought 13 for $21. I'll take it. :)Don't go off of these old reviews. I was worried because of them but everything was fantastic.
