Like many others, I visited Greenville on my way to view the eclipse. I found The Coffee Pot on Google Maps and it looked like the perfect place to have coffee, journal and spend a few hours before heading to my final destination.I was not wrong! The Coffee Pot was an excellent place to visit. Using Cincinnati's own Deeper Roots coffee (off to a great start) they made an excellent Americano. The staff were friendly and the shop offered a variety of lovely looking fresh baked goods. There were also kid friendly drinks for little ones. The shop is located in an historic department store. Much of the original decor and design remain including this incredible bathroom. I vote we return to amazing design like this. There was plenty of seating which easily accommodated the increase in customers. They also had free books and newspapers for your enjoyment while visiting. It was a lovely visit, and if I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to stop by for another cup 😊Parking: Plenty of free street parking. 90 minute parking from 9-5Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid friendly beverages and food options.

I have been going to the Coffee Pot for a little over two years now and its my favorite place to get coffee. The vibe is great, the staff is warm and welcoming and they always treat me like their favorite customer. They answer all my questions with patience and understanding and make sure I get exactly what I want (sometimes I can be a little picky). Even though The Coffee Pot changed ownership recently, I can honestly say the new owner is doing a great job at making it feel like the exact same place. I will definitely be continuing to go there whenever I want some caffeine, a sweet drink, or even a nice bagel.Dietary restrictions: They make sure I get oat milk instead of whole milk since whole milk makes me feel a little sick and they are diligent about it, even when I'm not too worried about it

Being from out of town, The Coffee Pot was recommended to me as a "must try spot." As soon as I stepped through the door, I immediately perked up taking in its' attractive and inviting space. The exposed loft-like brick, historic nature, and warm ambient dimmed interior lighting - yet very well-lit from the soft, natural lighting coming from the large windows curating a warm and homey essence. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of optimal seating as there are both spaces to be lively and find community with others, but also little nooks and comfortable spots if you are preferring some quiet solitude. The staff kindly greeted me easing my "ordering at a new spot" anxiety and took time to listen to what I would like and graciously offered me what they would recommend. It didn't take much convincing to try the BTS cake, which was perfect for a chocolate lover like me! I was also really grateful to learn the owner, Eric, made my coffee! I thought that was a really cool note to make because you can see and feel the intention he and his staff make to ensure new and returning costumers feel seen and valued. My time there was nothing short of a positive experience and my coffee tasted exactly how I wanted. This has definitely turned from a "must try" to my "go to" spot now when I visit Greenville! I cannot wait to keep venturing their menu!

This is a family favorite when we visit from out of town. I've been going here for years before it was the Coffee Pot when I was living in Union City. The coffee is still wonderful and the baked goods are fresh and delicious.Even if you're not a coffee lover the visit is worth it for the architectural history alone. There is also a small library of books and on occasion they've had music.Parking: Parking in the front and side of the building. Wheelchair accessibility: The store is on the first story and reasonably accessable to wheelchair.

The first thing I do most mornings is make my way to The Coffee Pot for my almost daily iced coffee. If I didn’t have prior obligations on some days it would be a daily ritual. Having said that, I still manage to make it over there at least 4-5 times a week and it’s the only place I’ll ever go for my morning coffee in Greenville. Never disappointed. The staff is stellar. The owner Eric, and all of the baristas are beyond kind and helpful. Khara and Austin, in particular, really go above and beyond for all of the patrons and first timers, along with myself. My drink is ready by the time I get to the counter. Smells good. Looks good. Good vibes all around.Less important(to me) but noteworthy things:1. Awesome building2. Cool atmosphere3. Amazing food4. Cool merch5. Cool bathroom6. Books7. Comfy seatingI could stand here and write more about how much I love this place but I have to go to work so you’ll have to just go experience The Coffee Pot yourself because that’s what it is. It’s not just a coffee shop, it’s an experience in itself.

This place is an absolute gem and worth visiting for the wall art alone (but the coffee is exceptional too!). Located on the Main Street, once you enter the doors it's as if you stepped into a delightful new world. It's spacious and elegantly decorated, plus there's plenty of seating options whether you'd like to choose a comfy chair near the bookshelves or a marble table with chairs to get some work done. I adore the Christmas-themed handmade painted art that was on display in the front windows and found out from the owner, while he made my tasty toasted marshmallow mocha, that he picks a new theme every year. I'm definitely planning to come back and visit in the very near future!

Loved this coffeeshop! I wish I could've spent the day there reading a book in one of the booths along the wall. So cozy! Loved the atmosphere, decor and selections. The iced mocha was tasty and the banana cream pie was yummy.

the best atmosphere and the best coffee around (and that includes the area shops beyond darke county). as a longtime patron, eric and company have not missed a beat since the change in ownership. the staff is friendly and welcoming, whipping up excellent drinks while making you feel like you’re a part of the family. the best third place in greenville (along with the merchant house, which is just a couple of blocks down the street!).

Where to start?A few friends and I had made plans to head out of town, but when we had to cancel the original plans, we decided to meet up here and spend time together. We all loved our coffees. I got a peppermint latte. My friend’s card had issues when she tried to pay, and she was told to not worry about payment, a gesture I find exceedingly kind.We found a cozy corner to play games in until closing time. We cut it pretty close, but no one made any indication that we didn’t belong there any longer. And last and probably least, but hardly…the bathrooms? Since when does a bathroom deserve mention? But theirs does!Check it out, my friends. Check this whole place out!

My last two latte's tasted burnt and one had a long blonde male hair in it. And I also saw him put his fingers inside of my cup. Very unsanitary. The staff is more concerned with chatting with each other and being on thier phone than giving the good customer service that was there before. Customer service has really gone down since it has new management. Unfortunately many of the good employees have moved on.

Great experience. I’m from southern Ohio and found Greenville on the map as a place to meet someone for the day coming from northern Indiana. We started the day at The Coffee Pot which did not disappoint! Beautiful venue, great food, and excellent staff. We will return! Kudos to whoever owns the building. Fantastic updo of beautiful older storefront.

Diary of coffee snob:I remember when the first coffee shop popped up on this corner, "Broadway Joes" was the name. Being the introvert that I am, I appreciated and enjoyed the cozy and quiet atmosphere. The coffee was phenomenal and cheap. I'd sometimes stay long enough to work up an appetite and invite my friends to join me at the "Little Italian Cafe" for a delicious meal. Although "Broadway Joe's" went out of business (unfortunately, they were so cool and ahead of their time lol), a new shop took its place shortly after named "Sweet One O' One."" I visited a few times, getting what I usually would from the previous shop; however, it just didn't compare. I eventually stopped going and went searching (unsatisfied) for the same taste and nostalgic experience I had developed from my first ever hometown gourmet coffee shop. Not long after, "Sweet One' O One" went out of business and, in its place stood "The Coffee Pot." By this point, I realized that I'm kind of a coffee snob. I decided to give it a try, and like a "Ratatouille" critic moment, my first experience was joy. The atmosphere was cozy, quiet, with a chill indie esthetic. The coffee was almost exactly the quality I had experienced with "Broadway Joes." With that being said, over time the atmosphere has changed significantly due to social media. All the cool kids are drinking coffee, and this little gem that was the best kept secret now feels like a hot spot. If you're an extrovert, and you don't mind waiting up to 20 minutes for an excellent coffee, then look no further. I really enjoy the coffee pot when it's not busy because I wait no longer than 3-5 minutes for a coffee, they know my order, and it's excellent every time.P.S.For a sweet treat with a caffeine kick, I get a frozen white chocolate, almond milk, with an extra shot of espresso (this same drink is also good hot though, inconsistentdepending on who makes it) . During the cold months, I used to get a chaii latte. I would not recommend it anymore because they no longer use fresh tea, it's just Tazo chaii from the jug steamed and that makes me sad. (The old recipe used to feel like a cozy hug after the horse parade or during December.)Their muffins are delicious as well. My husband enjoys the hot coffee, but I find it bitter. Does someone want to recommend a nice hot coffee?

Figured I’d stop in and get something different It’s Been around 5 months last time iv stoped in.we’ll need less to say. Ordered an iced mocha without whip cream and a little cake on the side . I know there’s supposed to be ice in it. All you tasted was water creamer no coffee taste by any means. No Chocolate even in it ether . I was walking back to my vehicle, took a drink out of it. Didn’t even think nothing about it. got home. Took another drink out of it. And noticed it didn’t taste, right. I was not driving back there. Dumped it down the drain Through the cup away. I ordered this stuff time 8:50 am -ish to go. Have a nice day

5 stars all around. If you leave anything less than 5 stars you’re lying to yourself.Vegetarian options: If you ask whether or not something is vegetarian, they will be able to tell you. Most items are pretty obvious to tell whether or not they are vegetarian, the only thing I’d say to make sure and ask about is the soup.Parking: You can park both in the front on broadway and behind the buildingWheelchair accessibility: For wheelchair accessibility, it is best to go in the front entrance
