My wife and I took a friend to adopt a cat, I have 2 of my own, otherwise I would've taken one or two home. There were several I had my eye on, it broke my heart to see roughly 2 dozen without a home, wish I had a farm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Very clean. Excellent staff and volunteers. I am SO grateful that they were able to take in a pregnant stray I had been caring for over the past two years. With three of my own in a small apartment there was simply no way I could have cared for her. They were waiting for us when we arrived with a place all ready for her to nest. I went there today with my daughter to pick out a cat. Everyone was so friendly and great with the cats. The one cat she got out for my daughter just loved on the lady before handing her to my daughter. You could tell she loved the animals. We adopted Meragold. Maragold shared the same birthday as my daughter who picked her out. It was truly meant to be. She's such a cuddly cat. She rubs her face all over us. My daughter renamed her Cuddles. Thank you for being so great to your animals and Thank you for being so nice and so kind as we walked in the door and throughout the whole time we were there. You girls were amazing!!!

July 8, 2022 ❤ Please Donate ❤Today I brought in a feral/stray cat, I think he was dying. I didn't know what to do. They didn't turn me away ❤ The lady behind the desk, Cathy, was very kind. Thank you Cathy. Another lady there was not so kind, had an attitude.This is a NO KILL place. I took a feral female cat that had her kittens out in the cold & they took her & babies in ...Today I took a feral male cat in that climbed up in somebody's car in the freezing cold & the car was started, he was in bad shape but they took him in anyways... Thank you so much ! 🙏❤

These people are great! My dog's collar got caught somewhere on a walk, and she became trapped. I don't walk very well, and I couldn't find her. A nice lady from the Humane Society volunteered to come out and help me find her on a Saturday! If you are looking to make a donation, this is the place!

a no kill shelter in Darke County, the Animal Controls people of Darke County do not accommodate cats, so this is the no kill shelter for them and some dogs as well. They accept donations for food for the animals and socialize them as they keep them to make adoption easier.Money is accepted to care and cure animals, if necessary, and they recently remodeled an area for indoor cats to interact and a team of volunteers to assist!

Ladies are great. Spay and neuter program has helped us. Prices are affordable unlike if you go through a vet.

They were very unwilling to share info on how long they had there dogs or the history on them. It broke our heart. We were very willing to rescue a furry friend but not when the workers couldnt educate us on there animals or give info. They acted as if they knew nothing. I felt bad for the dogs

They were okay we have somebody drop off a cat a kitten I should say in our front yard and it just couldn't be trained to pee in a litter box so we had to take it to the Humane Society and it took them 2 days to come get the cat and we gave them everything we bought and they just acted like they were put out.

As I pulled in the drive 2 employees finished smoking and went in the building. I had told an employee the day before that I would be there to drop off donated items. No one would come to the door so I left 3 dog beds, 3 blankets, dog sweaters, toys, leashes, collars, and 2 bags of food sitting at the door. Dustin would never have done that. I will not be back.

Called in regards to my nieghbors dogs being tied to trees with no shelter no food no water and in 0 degree wheather all of them standing on ice. They said there really wasnt nothing they can do but would send someone to take a look but no one ever showed up..... go figure because the guy on the phone seemed to not care at all! This is very poor service these people provide
