Yes it's a wonderful take me back store with local staff, but it's about the owner Floyd Craft. I worked for Floyd for 5 years so I saw first hand his passion for helping customers find what they're looking for , his devotion towards the community and his continued support of the university ( BGSU ). Floyd wouldn't want the attention to be about him but it's true . I don't lie , and I'm not some local guide trying to get points on leaving a bunch of 5 star reviews. When I think of downtown Bowling Green it's Ben Franklin ( now Ben's) and Mr Crafts vision to enrich so many people from all over , once a customer always a customer.

Ben's for the win! What a gem of a store to have in BG! After going back and forth with Amazon trying to figure out if the gift I had ordered would be on time (it wasn't) I headed to Ben's in hopes of finding something on Christmas Eve. I found the perfect gift that was even better than what I had ordered in Amazon!

Interesting little in place. Seem to have a little of everything. Variety Store known for their fudge and crafts. Also have other candies, games, lights, crafts, baking stuff, cleaning supplies, cards and kids stuff etc.

Love this store! I shop here for children's birthdays and Christmas. Takes me back to my childhood when I'd visit with my grandma. The people are friendly and helpful and the selection of toys and books is better than most big box stores, in my opinion. Bonus....your supporting a local business when you shop here. I'll be back soon.

Great local craft store! Perfect for any hobbyist looking for something they need to finish an art project. The frame shop is full of awesome selection, and there's plenty of knick knacks and toys for a quick gift.

Such a fun shop! Selling just about anything you could want for a crafts. You can go there to buy supplies for parties, rocket kits, candy for any occasion, and a large amount of baking products and molds that you can't find elsewhere.

Nothing bad to say about the staff really. Their plenty polite. Went there a couple times trying to get posters framed. Each time I went the guy that usually does it was out on vacation. Ordered the frames on Amazon for 1/3 the cost of in store frames. Posters look good. Disappointed I had to go to Amazon more than anything.

Great craft store with a very good educational toy department. Nostalgic in it's layout. Mundane to interesting items for sale. Ben's still has a candy counter too.

Great mom and pop place to go. I love the nik naks, the candy selection and most of all the atmosphere! Reminds me of the Ben Franklin five and dimes from when I was a kid. I try to go here often as possible to keep supporting them. They've been a BG anchor for many years and I hope they stay another many years !

The staff was attentive & willing to chat & discuss choices. There is a connected craft store which has a extensive selection of yarn in every price point AND staff willing to help an indecisive shopper. I was especially thankful the lady was knowledgeable about what wld work for my project & didn't push me to buy the most expensive. Honest & helpful- why I like shopping in small town shops!

Fun store with a surprising amount of educational merchandise, toys and fun stuff for children. They have a candy section too with giant buckeyes.

I was looking for toys for my 5 month old son and found everything I wanted. Also was looking for toys for the children's services of wood county and found everything I wanted for that as well. People who work there are very friendly and helpful. The prices may seem high but they always have specials and coupons happening. The toys are super high quality too. Would recommend.

This place is awesome. Vintage toys are great. Also has candy and treats. It is kind of overwhelming when you first walk in, but make sure you explore the entire store. Has lots of crafting material and puppets and cool toys. I found unopened baseball cards for 25 cents in the back. Awesome.

I've been shopping at Ben's since I was a tiny lil'townie! ❤ They have everything here - art tools & accessories, office supplies, scrapbooks & paper crafts, greeting cards & stickers, candy & fudge, baking supplies, seasonal treats, party supplies & balloons, an in-house frame gallery for your precious prints, and lots of toys!! I feel like a kid every time I'm here!Great for window-shopping or last-minute gifts!

Nice selection of craft related items and toys. The kids really like the old time candy counter that has a nice selection of candies, chocolates, jelly beans, and unique candy. Nice place to go to get pictures framed too. I really like the old store atmosphere here and the staff is very friendly. Parking is a challenge out front of store with city parking but Ben Franklin has their own parking lot in rear of store which is much easier to park then enter through the rear entrance.

I go to the touch and feel department at Ben's.Yes I mean the yarn shop. Bright and fresh colors, handmade yarns, crochet, knitting and quilting books makes this a needle workers haven.

Wow!! This place is HUGE and has EVERYTHING. They make fudge in- house s well as sell numerous hand made chocolates and confections. There are tons of art supplies, vintage games, new names, fabrics, specialty yarns, all types of dolls, coloring books etc etc etc... the staff is knowledgeable about different types of crafting projects, so be sure to inquire!

Bought command strip to fasten a statue near my mom's headstone. Get to the cemetery and the command strip was dried out and didn't work. I came in from TX and was only in BG for a few hours. Big let down. You need to do better with you inventory.

This place is great! Everyone in the store is super helpful and friendly. The ladies and gentleman in the matting and framing department are my heroes! They do fantastic work and will help you save on cost if you need something framed up.
