We came here after a long hot day of being outdoors. Found out our car didn’t want to start so we was stuck here for 2hrs I even bought ice cream which isn’t in the photo cause I didn’t waste no time eating it 😆 if you’re in the area looking for good food and ice cream 🍦 you’re in for a good treat!

It was half tolerable. Got 2 scoops of hand dipped. One special recipe vanilla and one wicked chocolate. The vanilla was over powering. Seems like they just quadrupled the normal amount. The chocolate was not edible. It tasted like stale coffee to me. My wife thought it tested freezer burnt with a hint of mint. Looked like it had a pink hue to it also.

Great place with assorted flavors and different kinds of ice cream sundaes highly recommend checking this place out adjacent to the beautiful Maumee River area there homemade ice was very delicious fresh tasting prices are very reasonable as well!

Quaint cute local parlor. We loved the area & it's a nice place to eat your ice cream and enjoy the views. I had a soft serve turtle sundae. It was loaded with Carmel & pecans. Very tasty with rich good quality soft serve. My husband had 2 scoops one vanilla & 1 double chocolate. He said he didn't care for either. I thought the vanilla was good but the chocolate was not. It had a very odd color & taste in both our opinions. That being said, they had good prices ,large portions & we would return, just likely to get soft serve next time.

This place is probably best visited by those seeking hard ice cream--the parlor's specialty. The shop does sell soft ice cream, but portions are small and the soft serve is not very rich tasting.

Most of our experiences here are great. Today tho. We got served a couple of really rare burgers. They did remake mine and gave my wife something else. Unfortunately a raw burger turns her stomach..

I took my dog for ice cream. When I ordered, I was asked if the cup was for him, and I said yes. They said for dogs, they added hot dog pieces, no extra charge. I will absolutely be back! It's such a cute ice cream place, local to the area, and my dog got extra spoiled! Oh, the prices are amazing too! I'll definitely come back with my boy, and maybe get something for myself next time! (I have been here a few years back, and from what I remember, it was delicious for humans too, LOL) I highly recommend!

Not wheelchair accessible. We were there today. We did eventually find a ramp but his electric wheelchair was to wide for it and its a parking spot so with the truck parked there he couldn't have been able to get nearit. He ended up going all the way behind the cars to get tithe front but than there was a step so couldn't get to where he needed to order and see the menu. Very disappointed.

Quick stop for ice-cream and cold drinks on a hot day. Prices were very fair, service was fast considering people were lined up waiting to order. Staff was friendly and quick with getting orders ready. Rita's is always a great place to stop when you are around the Grand Rapids area.

Pricey for ice cream and milkshake (which was very watery and lacked taste)! The girl taking our order wasn’t friendly at all, actually very rude since our order only came to $7 and we had a credit card. She said it had to be $7.50 for a credit card, so I said I guess give me a bigger milkshake which then took our not so good ice cream and milkshake to $9.55. I will not be returning!

All homemade ice cream. Good quality. Located just above the river and trail. Great setting. Hours are unreliable. Have often gone there, only to find it closed. Nearest restroom is a block away.

I thought the prices were high, milkshakes were so runny the last 2 times we went that it was like drinking milk, where we went home and put in the freezer to thicken up! Stingy on the toppings! We won’t be going back at all! I will drive to BG where prices are better and the ice cream is better!

This time it wasn't the best.Our smoothies were more like water with flavor,slushie kinda the same.I got a coffee drink it was good.Even thou it wasn't the best this time,they were working hard to get the huge line going. One of the ladies kinda yelled at everyone but it was hot and very crowded.

Homemade ice cream flavors. Good sundaes, also have some tasty snacks. This place is more expensive than most ice cream shops but it doesn't stop it from bring our favorite place to go for ice cream in the summer. We also get a kick out of their closing times. Check them out when you go.

Excellent ice cream and good service. Price is higher than some places but the view of the river is awesome. Rita is a hands on owner. We have eaten a lot of ice cream and food from Rita's over the years and have rarely been disappointed with anything.

Ice cream was good but not a lot given from soft serve. She stated a total i handed my card and she handed me a receipt and it was 31 cents more that i was told. I didnt understand so i looked around and at bottom of menu said 3% fee for all card transactions. That sign should be right at window where customers dont miss it. Thats the only thing that gets me for bussiness. Thats an expense for you guys raise all prices by 2 cents to cover it. I wont return as i dont carry cash and i do not pay fees. If i didnt know what i wanted and had to look at menu i would not have ordered seeing that. Get rid of the fee and ill give better review and ill be back then. As i feel i am being punished for going to your business with the number one form of payments excepted.CUSTOMERS HEADS UP3% FEE ALL CARDSUpdate to ritas replyCards run a lot quicker then some people can make change. I feel as a customer people using cards should not have to subsidize cost of you running your bussiness as theres other card companys there are a lot cheaper for bussiness. Instead of offering 3% charge to card people then just do cash only this will take care of problem.

Ice cream was delicious but small portions for the price, but the real reason for a two star review is the rudeness of the older female employee who was barking and snapping at customers like a mad dog on a short leash. The younger employees were polite and kind and seemed embarrassed by her behavior. We left feeling like we had just had a trip to the principal's office.
