I hate to leave this review because I never had any issues with this store until today. I placed two pick up orders and never had done that before so I was kind of confused how it works, yes I was that customer that may have asked a few stupid questions. The blonde employee that was at the register showed me where to go and my order was not showing ready and she snapped at me very rudely to just take my bags! I’m sorry to have bothered you, I also work retail and we all have days and sometimes we have to answer stupid questions, that doesn’t give you a green light to be rude and unhelpful. I will not be back and I hate to even leave this review.

Usually, I haven't had a problem with the cashiers being rude or impatient with me at this location although some of the employees seem to have very little personality & appear to not enjoy their job very much. I understand completely how dealing with the public can be very frustrating & challenging at times, so I always do my best to treat people with respect & be pleasant. On this particular day, I went in to buy some Butterfinger ice cream. There was a digital coupon that lowered the price to $2.50 , so I thought great, I'll try it the coupon. I had never used a digital coupon before & scanned the barcode. I mentioned this to the cashier & thought she would assist me with the transaction. Not the case. In a rude & sarcastic tone she told me that if I'm going to use the digital coupon, I should know how to do so. Seriously?? The store manager assisted me with my purchase & gave me the discount. While the manager was helping me, the employee made an argumentative comment towards me & the manager politely diffused the situation. This particular cashier impatiently rung up the other few items I had & never bothered to say thank you to me or have a nice day..lol. But I thanked the very efficient & professional manager for helping me. Kindness always wins. 😉

The store is very clean and organize. They have been understaffed since the beginning of covid19. Yet, they have maintained order and all safety protocols as required. They were the first of very few stores/businesses to put safety measures in place before they were mandated. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel valued and your needs are being met. They deserve recognition for this!!

The rudest and most ignorant staff. Holdovers from the store across the street. Why does stocking shelves and working a cash register make you better than the rest of us. One employee was very disrespectful to an elderly customer who was only asking a question, she totally brushed her off.Last time l will shop at this place.

This place is so clean and organized. The staff is very helpful and friendly. One worker, I must say, has a pretty foul mouth, which leaves customers uncomfortable. Otherwise, it is a great store with a five star.

Great locations, They are everywhere! I love the easy to use app. Coupons in the app coincide with the sale items. DG always has what I need! Most of them are clean but I like the Girard location for neatness and cleanliness .

A good place to run in for a quick item. Lock your doors however at the Niles Robbins Ave store. The one time i didn't lock my car, someone stole all the spare change i had in my console and ashtray.

Please hire some more staff. I know DGs model is minimal staff but I feel terrible for your lone cashier that has to ring up a line of 75 people that are getting progressively more annoyed at something that isn't the cashier's fault.

If I could give less stars to this store I would...brand new store which is nice but the staff is the rudest bunch I have come across...there are so many dollar generals in the area so I would avoid this location if I were you

They just moved across the street an built a new building. It now carrys food which is nice since IGA closed. There prices are actually similar to Walmart an something are cheaper.

This is an extremely crowded store...high aisles overstocked. Cheap merchandise though, from paper products, pet food, some regular cold case items (milk, juice, eggs), however NO greens (salad mixes or yogurt!)
