We had a great time on the Tannenbaum wine trail! Thanks to those winery’s on the trail! We hit 11 stops in 6 hours! Enjoying them and their beautiful decorations for Christmas!

We participated in the Tannenbaum Trail event on 12/16/23. We have participated in other OWPA events & were excited to try this one. We invited friends from out of town to join us. They had never been to "Ohio Wine Country" before & we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to showcase what Ohio wineries have to offer. We were especially excited for the holiday theme & getting to see how each winery presented itself. We were disappointed. The event included a small christmas tree, an ornament from each participating winery, wine samples & appetizers. Each winery gave the same ornament except for the winery name on it. If we wanted a different ornament from a previous year, we had to pay extra. It would have been nice to have a few different ornaments to make the tree look a little nicer. After a while, we decided not to take the ornaments at all. We agreed that the tree would look nicer with a variety of ornaments purchased on our own. Except for a few wineries, the appetizers & wine were presented without effort - Chex Mix in a small plastic container, melted cookies in plastic bags, wine in containers that resembled Jello shots (lids and all!), etc. It seemed like most participating wineries did not care about the event & made little to no effort to make it enjoyable. We were impressed by a few wineries that seemed to use this as a marketing opportunity. Laurello, Debonne, Ferrante & Rosabella were among our favorite stops. The staff in charge of their portion of the event were friendly, welcoming & in the holiday spirit. This made it a lot more fun for us. The wine was presented nicely & some in actual wine glasses which made it feel like they put more effort into the event. The appetizers were well planned & delicious - pizza/flatbread, soup, mac & cheese, hot pretzel sticks with sauce, just to name a few. These four wineries did a great job with the event & marketed their facilities well. We tried a few new wines that we probably would not have tried. We purchased bottles to take home at each of these wineries as well. Overall, we decided that we will not participate in this event again. We will visit the wineries that we enjoy on our own & avoid the wineries that made this event & its participants feel like an imposition.

Easy access to the venue with quick check in at noon. The information provided was helpful. The entertainment provided various music on both stages which we really enjoyed. Whomever was responsible for the weather did an outstanding job! 😀. There was plenty of seating under the trees throughout the property. The choice of vendors was very good. Looking forward to going back next summer.

I attended the Winter Wine Affair at Stambaugh Auditorium on January 14. I was unimpressed by last year’s event and almost didn’t go. I didn’t buy a VIP ticket - only a tasting. There were only 10 wineries - most of which were within a short drive from the event. I doNot care for the wines at three of the vendors. Emerine only had sweet wines to offer, which was a disappointment. Having said that I would buy a VIP ticket again next year. A few years back there were wineries from all over the state - please try to do that again. There isn’t much point to featuring wineries that are so close.

My friend and I went on the Tannenbaum Trail. The appetizers weren't appetizers at all. I'm not sure what you could call them. Little desserts? A few places offered small items of food (hummus, a rice concoction, and soup (the best of them all). The ornament was a round metal disc with the name of the winery and a wreath imprinted on it. The wineries didn't offer their full selections either. A disappointing experience for the Money.

Great time every year! We loved it! Bought a few bottles of wine! Maybe healthier food options next year could be the only request?!? Either way we will be back next year!

I love the Vintage Ohio Wine Festival. I have been going for many years now. The food is always great, especially the Chicken Gyro. I left with 6 bottles of wine, but my favorite Maize Valley was not there, maybe next year.

We always love the Wine event, but this year was a little different. Much to small of an area and it was very hot. Music was good but much to loud for the small area. Needs to be in the bigger two air conditioned buildings at the fairground.

It was a good event and very organized. Wines were a little too sweet for my taste but I found a couple that I liked. Beer tasting is extra $, they don’t mention that in the ticket price.

We always have an amazing time. The wineries are all so cordial and accommodating. We enjoy sampling he different styles and learning more about the area.

Attended wine-tasting dinner at this beautiful venue on the scenic shore of Pine Lake. Oenophile's delight with savory repast. (Winery at Pine Lake)

The Ohio Vintage Wine Festival was very disappointing this year. Fewer vendors and wine selections at the store.
