New management has made the village market not only a better store to find groceries and snacks than it was before but also a more community minded place because its obvious the new owners love and care about gambier and kenyon students. They make an effort to pay people fairly and always try to stock people’s requests, even if it means going out of their way. Nick and Betsy have done such a great job and as always Rob is an institution of the store and is a nice face to see as the market mascot

So nice to show up Saturday evening and pick up hot vegetable soup, fresh local eggs and a great selection of snacks and beverages. Saved us a trip into Mt. V. We'll be back on our next visit.

New ownership, I don't know what it was before but I've heard bad rumors. Seems to be a good place to go now. Only 4 stars because it opens at 9 and they don't sell hot breakfast from the kitchen lol

This is where students go to buy beer more-so than food, lol.The selection of food isn't amazing, but you can find some stuff to cook with if you want. Mostly a place to buy snacks and beer though.

The prices aren't bad for being a small town with a college in it But don't try to go to lunch if the College is close For a holiday
