Update: a year later and they're still the best pet store I've ever used! Always have my rats ready and get amazing service. I think I'm officially friends with the store parrot at this point, lolLove this pet store! Good price on what I needed, got to meet the very friendly owner, and best of all they've got a store parrot I'm welcome to make a fool of myself playing with. Just moved to town and was hoping to avoid feeding my reptile from the big box pet stores, I need look no further as Morrison's will be my go to from now on!

This pet store is well worth stopping by! There aren't many family run pet stores left. The owners are such nice, genuine people. They are a small business, but they carry a little bit of everything and have something for all types of pets. I don't know much about the animals they sell in store or where they are sourced from so if you are looking for a pet, I would give them a call or stop in to inquire further. They seem to mainly specialize in fish, small pets like guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and hamsters, and small birds. They carry a small selection of reptiles. They have rats and mice but I do not know if they sell them as pets or just feeders. I do know that they breed rodents and supply live and frozen feeders. I love that they carry Kalmbach feed, a high-quality brand made right here in Ohio. Chain pet stores do not carry it, and feed mills or the few farm stores that carry it make you special order that feed in and buy it in 50lb bags. Morrison's Pets sells the feed in smaller quantities as well for very reasonable prices. They also carry high-quality bedding. I used to purchase frozen feeders from RodentPro and other brands but frequently saw signs of previous thawing and re-freezing (which is dangerous), freezer burn, and that the rats/mice were quite dirty. The feeders I got from Morrison's Pets were incredibly clean and healthy looking with nice plush fur, and they did not smell bad. That is very telling about how their feeders are raised and kept. Their feeder prices were also great. I will continue to buy from them from now on!

I have went to this pet shop since I was 7 years old. It's a family run buisness who has great knowledge of the animals they sell. They sell healthy well kept animals. The pets they sell will not die after you get them home. The pets live long lives that come from this pet shop. I highly recommend this family owned pet shop. Great people!!

We love coming here it is a family oriented Business. They have a very sweet bird there his name is Tim he loves banana bread and really loves McDonald's french fries take him some if you want to make a good friend. We got my daughter's hamster here and we will continue to come back for anything we need. It feels like going to visit a long lost friend or a long lost family member. I am so glad that we found Morrison's pets.

We have bought several hamsters and one Guinea pig from this store. We haven't yet to be disappointed, the owner is an absolute sweetheart and treats hers customers like family. Definitely will be going back here. They treat their animals very well, amazing place to find a pet, albeit it can be a bit dirty from time to time, but that's normal for the amount of animals they have in stock. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place time and time again.

She is the true Parrot Lady! I have met a lot of people who own or raise parrots, but never someone so comfortable or knowledgeable about them. Since I moved to CF with my 3 parrots from CA, it was nice to find someone who understands their care and needs. Excellent service!

We visited Morrison's on several occasions as children, whether it be for a fun trip to look at the pets or to get our first hamsters or fish. The shop is run by a very sweet and knowledgeable old lady who is more than willing to answer questions and help new pet owners make smart decisions and find what they need. The pets my family purchased here were all very healthy and outlived the small animals from larger mainstream brand pet stores.

The pet store was very dirty. The animals were crammed in tiny cases; and most didn’t have adequate food or water for the amount of animals. A handful of cases had dead hamsters, mice, hermit crabs, etc. The employee was on his phone most of our visit but at least said hi when we walked in. Most of the animals weren’t labeled with a price. I would highly suggest going elsewhere. It was disgusting how many ants and roaches I saw inside the store as well.

I have driven by this place for years and never noticed it. What a gem! The fish tanks were immaculate and the fish looked beautiful! As a former employee of a pet store with live animals (shout out to PetsMart crew), I can tell you it is no small feat to maintain a system of any size. Not only were the fish tanks spotless, they had within multiple plecos, that were massive! I couldn't even keep them alive in my personal tanks let alone a system of that size.For those who are bothered by the smell of a pet store with rodents, find somewhere else I guess. For everyone else, make a trip to take a look! My boys and I will be back soon to see the fish. My little one was so enamoured he didn't even wait to get outside to start asking about getting his very own fish tank!

Paula & Robert are gems! They r both so nice & easy to talk to...we cudv talkd 2 them for hours! We got some dwarf hamsters from them, and all the supplies & toys. They were cheaper than wm & amazon on both! Will def b givn them more of my pet business!

This is a small local pet shop. The older lady who owns and runs it is great. My grandmother would only buy her birds here. Yes it is not a chain with employees constantly mopping floors and shuffling deads to the trash. But thats what makes this a local shop! Anyone who is disgusted or turned off by this place is simply not passionate about the hobby of keeping animals/fish. Places like this is what fueled the hobby back in the day! And she is still here, unlike the rest that cracked under financial burdens and woes. I hope the doors stay open for many more generations. Because I am a third gen. shopper and proud of it.

Really great advice on bird care. Used to board my parrot there when I went on vacation and he was very well taken care of at pick up. It's fun just to go in and see all the birds and talk with the owner.

True people and animal lovers with the best prices and ofcourse it smells like a pet store because they are housed normally and not in glass cases like chain pet stores. These severe critiques of the store would be ashamed if they knew what the owners have been through lately. The community is lucky that the doors are open.

Wow. Where do I start. We went in a few days ago to look at the birds and see if they had any cockatiels. We stepped in and we're immediately hit with that.. pet store smell. The floors were dirty, the shelves were covered in dust, the product was old and dusty. The animals all looked very sick. The fish tanks were all layered in algae and the systems barely ran. The absolute worst thing though? All the dead cockroaches on the ground. In between cages. Everywhere. No thanks, I will not be returning to this pet store.

Please take better care of the mice and hamsters! I'm not sure if it is lack of awareness or lack of caring, but cramming that many animals into 10 gallon tanks with nowhere to hide, let alone any kind of enrichment, is cruel. And to see tanks upon tanks of babies lined up for the same treatment...there's obviously an in house breeding operation that is out of control.For eveyone looking for pets, I would highly suggest checking out other locally owned pet stores in the area that provide better care for their animals.

Great mom and pop shop. Not many of these left. Tired of the big business chain stores. The lil old lady was amazing. If you dont like the conditions, volunteer some of your time to help. Competing with chain stores is not easy.

The best about this beloved hometown pet shop is everything.. Loving family owned and operated.. Clean and best cared for critters.And someone mentioned a petshop smell..hmmm must be the scent of clean fresh bedding for them to be comfortable in ..True animal lovers and good hearted folks will all agree this is a unique and special place and I'm glad the Morrison's family is still keeping this awesome store going!Please stop in and say hi,it will make your day.

I've been visiting here for over 35 years. The place has declined pretty badly. There are roaches which have been there for a few years now that I've noticed. Advice to the sweet lady who owns it, Advion roach Gel which can be purchased from Amazon, would get rid of the roach problem. And spruce up the place.

The Cages that house the birds are disgusting and are filled with birds. I bought a bird there because I was despite the condition because I thought I could help one but I know that they will just buy more. Anyway I asked for his wings to be clipped since he was a new addition and was trying to get him used to me. After they did it they put him in a nail box??!! I got home and he couldn't even sit on the perch for 2-3 WEEKS!!? DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

There is no excuse for the poor condition of care for these animals. The cages are way too small to be housing the number of animals that they do. The place itself is small and overcrowded as many cages sit directly on the floor. There was not one cage that looked clean. They are breeding their own supply without the proper knowledge which can cause inbreeding and poor health. If you care about the well being of animals, do not buy pets here.

Many animals are in over crowded cages with little enrichment. Reptiles were also kept in the wrong type of environment and given the wrong kind of food. Many animals were sick and need vet care. The lady who runs the shop is nice, but the animals are in poor conditions.

Went in just to look and ended up making a purchase. The lady who helped us was as sweet and informative as we could have possibly asked for. Incredible experience will definitely be return customers
