Very great place to take the family. Swimming, fishing, boat rentals, and so much more. My family and I had an awesome day. Can't wait to go back. The ladies in the office were very professional, kind, and a real joy to talk to. This is a beautiful 10 star place. We rented a boat for the day, had a cookout on land, swam from the boat, and fished off the boat. Very big, beautiful area to putt around and explore in the pontoon boat. Pets are allowed. We didn't know but we'll be bringing the dog next time.

We were nervous about parking our new travel trailerWe had a awesome young man that walked us thru parking and gave us amazing advise..Our Snooks loved being there.Showers and toilets are kept very cleanWe are looking to be back not this weekend but the next week for at least 6 days..We loved site 42.. awesone..

Absolutely beautiful place. Staff was very welcoming. Would have given five stars but the beds in the motel weren't very comfortable and had extremely thin "blankets".

The room I stayed in had issues with the heating/air conditioning, and the bathroom floor was always wet and dirty no matter what we did. But I've been going here since I was very little, and it's great. There's lots to do. You can fish, go on a boat ride, build a fire, take hikes, walk through the forest, and so much more. You'll meet people here, too. The workers are all lovely people. You'll have fun here, so book a week and try it out.

Nice clean camp ground . People are all friendly . The helpers are as well great job they do.Had a fun day on the lake even though it rain on Saturday.we love going to this camp ground.

A wonderful place to visit! Booming sunsets, wonderful waterfront views, great fishing,phenomenal staff and clean water! Not to mention there’s river otters at the lake ! Said to have some monster catfish I hear! Amazing rock formations across the lake as well!

We had an amazing anniversary weekend here very relaxing. Stayed in a primitive spot rented a fishing boat. Highly recommend, staff there very friendly and helpful

Love this lake and come often but recently it seems some of the families that have campsites are rude and like calling the rangers on the smallest things. My boyfriend and I got told we were not allowed to drive or park in the campsite connected to his families OWNED site. Sad they treat people like pests when they've owned that lot longer then half these rangers have been alive! So all together it's beautiful and an amazing place but the people make it less appealing.

It was fun and I caught my dinner. Hopefully they leave primitive camping after the remodel. I didn't stay in a cabin but they look much nicer than Piedmont cabins.

I understand it's all about the almighty $ but to raise the camping fee to $50/ night for electric only and still want to charge $15/day for a dock for the boat (same as someone who comes and sleeps on the boat) is pretty sad.There are great folks at the marina... friendly and helpful but even they shrug and mumble about 'beancounters' when mentioning the fees.I sincerely hope that with all the revenue from fee increases they clean up/improve the sites a bit soon.... gravel instead of dirt (now MUD from rain) would be a welcome improvement...Still, it's a great getaway!

My family and I discovered this little piece of heaven 4 years ago and we've made it an annual trip ever since! The cabins are beautiful and CLEAN and all the staff are wonderful/accommodating. Would recommend this place to all.

This used to be a nice place to come and relax for a weekend and rent a cabin. The place is clean and provides a nice family-oriented atmosphere but we booked our cabin 2 months in advance and when we got there for check-in our central air conditioning was broken and they had known that it had been broken since before we booked our stay. I can't believe that they actually charged us for price on the cabin which is more than $300 for the weekend and never bothered to fix the air conditioning. In the end we got a full refund but our stay was miserable due to 90-plus degree weather and no air conditioning. I would still recommend someone to check out this Campground and Lake but I would also recommend that the management start taking care of the place it could be so much more!

Great pleasure boating, tranquil.Not a camping review. Just boat and lake.Rentals Office hours end earlier than in Akron Cleveland area, or West Branch.Polite, rural folks, including Mennonites who shore fish. Dock access good.Not wheel chair friendly, as in no extra wide ramp or wider dock segment, or boarding ramp for getting on/off pontoon boats.Also applies to walkers.Disabled/handicapped - You're going to need an able bodied person to secure the boat or untie it for launch. If you asked at the office, I am sure they would assist during normal open hours. The dock is on a slight to mild slope. Wood. Some bumpy joints. No end-bar to halt runaway wheeled items.Water very clean. All facilities are very clean and modern. Grounds lovely and rustic. Far from loud air traffic and trucks, that detract from some parks/reservoirs.Sandy bottom. Lots of side branches and cover for fish. Bass, channels, flatheads, warmouth, bluegill.Pack food. No nearby restaurants. Office has limited concession.

The site is deceiving. Number 15 a staff member stated it was great for a 30 ft trailer. However, it's definitely not flat. Impossible to level the trailer. I asked how the fishing was. It was great she said. Didn't tell you that the only way to fish is if you rent one of their boats. All boat docks are marked fishing prohibited. There are no trails. There isn't any wifi service. An antenna doesn't work here. The shower house was the only positive thing about this place. There is a kayak launch. But, no where to park. You have to walk through other people's area to get to it. A lot of alcohol drinking here. I am thankful we brought our dogs. They were our entertainment.

Visited long enough to see a few boats retrieved at the ramp. Our party stopped in to sit at the picnic table near the water and have some snacks before heading back to Cleveland. It was a perfect place to end our visit to the area.

Great camping sites, new shower houses, beautiful lake for boating (10hp limit) and fishing. Bridge was under construction so unable to comment on hiking trails. The reason for not rating 5 stars is because public swimming only allowed from Boaters Beach or private areas :(

Clendening is a great campground. Everyone at Clendening is a pleasure to be around. From the staff to the long term campers. Restrooms are all withing walking distance and they even have a shower house. As far as fishing goes, you can put your boat in the lake or fish from the miles of accessable shore line. If you like fishing and camping this is the place for you.

Employees make you feel welcome. Always enjoy ourselves when we stop in. Pleasant atmosphere. Mechanic does excellent work, cabins are always kept clean and pleasant employees.

The landscape is absolutely beautiful and the environment is great. If you want to have an amazing time, it is a total recommendation despite being a little hard to get there, but it is totally worth it.

Beautiful Lake. Great camping lodges for rent. Only downfall...they have nasty bathrooms at the Marina location. They are literally nicely enclosed outhouses. No plumbing (holes in the floor outhouses) and often no hand santizer

My wife and I stayed a week in a tent and have never camped in a more serene and peaceful place. Great fishing and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back.
