Our trip was outstanding. StuntMan and I had a blast. He picked out a toy (A squeaky chicken) after sniffing and nudging as many as he could. The staff were delightful and tolerant of us. Overall, the place was clean and uplifting. I/we had a blast and didn't get ran off lol 🐕🐓

My betta fish just died so I went in to get another. I was very surprised at how well the betta were cared for. Some other pet stores let their fish rot till they die. I spoke with the ladies there for a few that were so excited the longest resident betta was leaving. They were friendly and helpful!

Always a pleasure at petco the only thing I would have to say is that our location Middletown / Franklin is a Mini Store and some items are not stocked on the shelves or store don't carry items. Forcing us to have to purchase online if possible or very least try substituting with alternative product etc. Have had fish and 3 dogs my whole adult life and when the first local pet shop closed we transferred our business to yall. Thanks for that 🤙🏻

Staff is incredible and very helpful. Nice clean organized store. Came in for ideas on how to get my senior dog to take her meds because she's come to associate the pill pockets with her meds and runs as soon as she smells them. The associate gave outstanding suggestions and we've not had any issues with giving our dog her meds since. The staff is always very knowledgeable and personable. Great store and even better associates. Keep up the great work.

My 10 year PetCo customer experience has been very positive because PetCo employees know more about the products they sell, and therefore, are more helpful because they are qualified to provide useful information to consider and/or recommend products in the best interest of a customer's pets, and of course, the pets budget (this includes pets with their own accounts, but for whom their owner has to co-sign as guardian and caretaker). I enjoy getting acquainted with, getting good advice and services from all the PetCo Associates in my local store. Many of the PetCo associates have worked for PetCo for years. Also, PetCo inventory includes the entire range of brands and choices of, for example, what you ultimately decide to feed to your pet(s). I learned from honest Petco people that while brands and prices vary, food ingredients are even more variable, and market competition can be deceptive. PetCo brand WholeHearted dry cat food is #1 in high quality ingredients consistency I have trusted since my 2 kittens were 2 months old; now they are 3 and they trust me. Beware of the brands of pet food claiming top of the food chain ultimate healthiest food eating experience your dog or cat could possibly have on planet Earth just like it's wild ancestral natural habitat. I am not going to feed my emotionally stable pets anything that could cause hallucinations, PTSD, and eventually, depression. My cats enjoy looking out the window. All the dogs I have known finish eating in 2-3 minutes and live in a happy state state of mind. I've never met a dog who was trying to "be somebody". I don't think cats worry about who they are either. The descending order of ingredients compared to WholeHearted told a different manufacturing story. Marketing and advertising drive prices up higher and faster than product quality in consumer choices. This review is about Petco and product decisions that are between you and your pet(s), not about BMW, Toyota and Chevrolet cars. There was always a dog in our family growing up in the 60s & 70's. Our dogs were active healthy dogs enjoying life with just a rabies vaccination and either fleas or flea powder and fewer fleas. If there were even 3 brands of dry dog food my Dad got the cheapest 50 lb bag. I never even heard of ingredients before I graduated high school. A 50 lb bag of 'Come Here Boy" is obviously Dogfood (Ground cornmeal, ground bone meal, cereal grains, some meat byproducts) tablescraps and fresh water. Dog toys grew on trees. We called them sticks. Thanks, PetCo, for inspiring my fetching review. I also write funny short stories about animals. This might be one of them. PetCo WholeHearted pet food, as well as regular monthly supplies, such as cat litter always costs less at PetCo than any other giant supermarket.

The staff are friendly and the service was great. The item I was looking for was not in stock, so I ended up buying a different brand of the same type and had to pay quite a bit more for it. Prices on some things are ok. However, they are higher than other pet supply stores.

I went there to buy some female guppies, they had 0 guppies. They had some mollies, red tail sharks, tetras and a few African cichlids. All of them were in horrible condition in dirty water. Dead fish getting eaten in every tank. Not worth the gas to get there.The family owned fish stores that were in this area before corporations like Petco took over were so much better...I shouldn't have to drive all the way to west carrelton to get quality aquatics service.

I drove several miles to get a supplement for my dog. The website said that I could pick it up there, but when I walked in, they were completely out. The girl thought they might be in the back but wasn’t willing to go look, so I went to Walmart and got it for the same price. I prefer shopping in smaller stores, but Petco didn’t have what I needed. In my opinion, this location will not be there very long. They were very poorly stocked throughout the store.

Stood around for 20 minutes waiting for someone to get a couple fish. Employees would rather play on their phones than help customers.Arrived at store at 12:31 and went to the fish area to pick out the ones I wanted.12:33 went up to the cashier (whom was playing on her phone) and asked politely if someone could get a couple fish for me. She said "sure, just a couple minutes."Left store at 12:50 having not been helped.I don't know who the manager here is, but they're doing a terrible job.

The customer service is why I gave it a 4 star. We bought a teddy hamster and the lady took the time (about 45 minutes) to teach us and answer questions. Most stores will just sell and get you out the door, but we were invited to bring my step daughter back to learn more and just talk about her new pet. Excellent service! There are not many pets in there right now but they are trying to get more at this location. Plenty of supplies but not many pets. Prices are reasonable. And they definitely are very informative!

Not good, attend ask me per petco policy what size tank I have for 2 angel fish, basically questioning my fish knowledge. After all the dum questioning about the up keeping of my tanks only to find out the fish I wanted to buy from there store were sick and they are not taking care of them, I found it very funny.

The Middletown store has friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff - they are all great representatives of Petco. I have been a customer of this store for years. I have adopted one of my cats from them. I have always received quality customer advice and the staff has always been friendly and given excellent advice about my cats and dogs. I would highly recommend this Petco store.

Wanted to buy 2 small fish, and some tank supplies, employee told me 2 was too many for my tank, I plainly stated I wanted the 2 fish and she again stated I couldn't put 2 fish in my tank. She said she was concerned about their quality of life.I told her she apparently wasnt going to sell me those fish and we left.I bought my 2 fish and supplies else where.
