This has been one of my favorite places for years. Wonderful beer and wine selection. Always know what to recommend when you can’t decide. Have stopped in here several times for meat to bring home and grill over the last couple years and they have always been wonderful!!

Moved to Findlay a couple of years ago, and the Wine Merchant is hands down our favorite part of Findlay. Great atmosphere, terrific food, and awesome people. Dan (and everyone who works there) can always recommend a bottle no matter what occasion or palate you're buying for. If you haven't checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and stop in for a snack and some wine.

Great and knowledgeable staff with a great selection of wines, craft beers and food to buy. We have relocated out of state but will call ahead when visiting Findlay and they will order our favorite beers and food so we can return home we’ll stocked. Love grabbing a pint and perusing the store and chatting with the staff!

If my wife and I lived in Findlay, we would probably be at the Wine Merchant on an almost daily basis. Dan and his crew’s knowledge of wine, beer and various foods are spot on! We make several trips from Lima to enjoy the hospitality and wine and oysters and…..well you get the idea….at the Wine Merchant. Findlay is very lucky to have a business like this!!!

I love walking in the Wine Merchant knowing that I won’t be walking out empty handed. Whether it’s a gift or just a bottle to enjoy on the deck myself, Dan and his staff always help me find what I’m looking for (and more often than not…something I didn’t plan on.) What a gem we have right downtown!

We parked in one of the spots in front of the wine merchant with all intentions of going to the wine merchant but we needed to go to the ATM at chase first. Upon returning I was accosted by the owner of the wine merchant and he was a complete jackass!! I would recommend nobody ever go to this establishment!! What rude impression!!!

I love Dan and the staff at the Wine Merchant! They have a great selection of wines, beers and food options.If they don't have the wine you want, there's a good chance that they might be able to order it for you.So happy that they have been able to adapt and provide new options through out 2020 and continue to be here for us wine consumers into 2021.

A few friends and I got lunch at The Wine Merchant and had a great time. The staff was very kind and helpful. The lobster bisque is amazing, and their chicken bacon ranch sandwich was very good. Service was quick and the atmosphere was warm and pleasant.

The owner Mr. Matheny (not sure on spelling) Is RUDE and should realize this town is way to small to be to be nasty to someone who just pulled up to your business. I had him as a teacher and I usually buy Christmas gifts at his establishment but I will no longer be shopping their!! You just lost a customer

Great little shop with eatery in the heart of downtown Findlay. Nice selection of wines and even more beers! Owner is super easy to work with and will try to get what you are looking for. Nice little back room for small groups and a nice selection of appetizers, etc. Super fun place.

Super friendly staff. Honestly, I was able to fill my growler up here before it was a thing. The owner just found a way to make it work. Another time he opened a beer for me and my dad to try in the store while he drank one with us. They will help you find whatever you're looking for. Always impressed at the selection of beers in the rotating tap. Only thing I don't like is when the winos take over on Friday nights. They act as if you're inconveniencing them by being in the store perusing your next beer.

I had the Thai wrap and their soup of the day. It was so good that I was sad to take the last bite. The service was extraordinarily friendly and I can't wait to go back. Great beer selection as well as wine.

My husband and I love to go here. The staff is wounderful, and the food is great. We like to go to Wine shops when we travel, if we find a bottle we like I will take a picture of it and Dan can usually get it for us, or recommend a bottle that is similar in flavor and body. The holiday special dinners are always creative and delish. If you have not tried it. Its a must.

The food is excellent. I tried the crabcakes and spinach. Some of the most fresh and flakey crabcakes I've ever had with amazing flavor. I also had the southwest chicken panini. Another excellent dish. The beer tasting is a great deal but only one of the the four flavors really struck.

Favorite place in Findlay. Great beers, great wine, fantastic staff. So friendly and knowledgeable. Reasonably priced and you'll never have a bad glass. An atmosphere all ages can enjoy.

Although by the number of people who frequent this store you wouldn't think it's one of Findlay's best kept secrets, but it is still fairly unknown to many. Unless you've been schooled in the finer tastes of craft beers and well made wines. They have a tasting room which is an unexpected pleasure.

This is where I first asked my husband for his number (there was no second time)- and where we went after we got married down by the Old Mill Stream. Its food is incredible, the wine is gorgeous, the workers are beautiful and knowledgeable, and they'll order whatever you want from distributors if they don't have it in stock. The food was excellent, but the service ruined the experience. We went for lunch for 2. We sat down at 1210, ordered at 1215, didn't get our appetizer until 1250 and then our entree arrived at 1252 before we even had a chance to get more than two bites in of the app. We'll give them another shot in a few months to see if they get things figured out.
