The people who work here are hands down amazing! They help you every way they can and the help they give these poor animals is priceless. They had this beautiful kitten the last time we were in. They had to take his eyes out and he was the most lovable baby you can find! If I didn't need the help and didn't have two of my own he would have been coming home with me. This place is always kept as clean as possible but filled with so much love ❤️

Horrible experience.. Tried to adopt a dog, filled out the adoption paperwork and never got a call back. When I did finally find the right pup for us I wanted to get him neutered here. Called four times in 6 weeks and never got a call back. Today I called again and they told me that they are booked 5 months out and that they don't return calls if they don't have any openings. Wow.. that would've been nice to know right off the bat. Don't waste your time with these people as they aren't reliable and extremely unprofessional.Go to Wyandot county. They'll treat you and the animals right!**Update**Left this review and immediately called Wyandot county. Their staff was incredibly helpful and got my pup scheduled for the middle of October. Very nice people! Hancock county should learn a thing or two from them on how to operate an animal rescue.

Rendoggies is located at the Humane Society to do nail trims and other pet services. Our dog is highly sensitive and timid. The technicians are always so kind and tender with her when trimming her nails.

I adopted Kyle, who is a sweetheart! However, I had to ask what kind of food and how much, they gave me nothing for him, collar and leash. I was on lunch hour and asked for food cuz I wouldn't make it to store until that evening. Also, he had fleas, why didn't they bathe him before I came to look. Their hours are not compatible with working people.

Very nice workers/volunteers at the Humane Society. We went looking for a cat, and they took us to a room where we could meet the cats one-on-one so we could find the perfect one for our family. We took home a perfect little calico kitten, and ended up turning around before we even got home to pick up her brother as well. The paperwork was all completed easily, and they were both fixed, updated on shots, microchipped, and listed to our family before we even left the building.

Got my cat spayed she is now traumatized and won’t come around me like she use to she’s very skittish when she use to be a loving cuddly girl,they gave us very little info no cone we never even met the doctor or received anything when we asked for them to look at her ear because she had a ear infection but they didn’t tell us anything Ik it’s cheap but please don’t get your pet spayed here

“Good with cats” by that they meant u will spend 20 minutes chasing the dog outside after it saw a cat and now u have a sprained ankle and a dog who wont sit doen and wont stop punching the door

Came in on a whim one day. The lady was so friendly and explained everything to me. I was unaware that they were appointment only right now. They are renovating, so I am excited to see how the interior will look once they are done. Great place to adopt. Oh and they have bunnies 😊

This humane society was so helpful and accommodating while we went through the process of adopting our sweet dog, Mason. Once we filled out an application, a member of their staff contacted us only a couple of days later. We made an appointment to meet our potential new dog for the very next day, and we were able to take him home right after our first meeting with him. They place holds on the animals once you have been approved for adoption and have scheduled an appointment to meet the animal. This completely eliminated the anxiety surrounding the adoption process for my boyfriend and I. As opposed to other rescues and dog adoption facilities, you don't have to wait to hear back from them and then go through a lengthy process of waiting to see if you are deemed the correct fit for a potential pet while competing with other potential adopters. Instead, the Humane Society of Hancock County seems to focus on getting their animals to loving homes as soon as a good fit comes along. I highly recommend coming here for anyone looking to add a new furry friend into their family!❤

Great place to find your furever best friend. Lots of choices and they are treated well. They teach the dogs basic things while they are there, such as sit, wait, to walk next to you instead of pulling on the leash and other things. The environment is friendly, the staff is friendly. I couldn't ask for a better place to find my newest family member. Fletcher is great!

Best place around to adopt a cat. Spayed or neutered, all shots, low cost. I have adopted a dog & 2 kittens in the past 20 years, & I volunteered for a bit. Staff has always been great, & my pets have been wonderful. I adopted a 14 week old kitten last summer, for $30. Sweetest cat ever!

We adopted a great dog from them. Patches aka Jack has turned out to be a wonderful dog. He didn’t learn much from them, but I think that’s because he didn’t spend much time on the adoption floor. I know from my time volunteering here that the dogs are trained not to pull, to wait at every doorway and how to sit. They treat both their dogs and cats wonderfully and it is a friendly place for the animals to spend their time while waiting for a home

Cat room is nice and so are meeting areas. Kennels are clean the majority of the time you go see the dogs and cats. Well taken care of.

The people here are very friendly. My family had been looking for a cat, and when they got one in that they thought we might be interested in (we had visited once or twice prior to this), they contacted us. Turns out this cat was just perfect for us, so she's now part of our family. They take care of the animals in their care. Always get your pets from places like this. 💕

This place I thought was supposed to have your sleeping bags with plenty of room to throw your slumber sleeping down summer to happy and see. Not my TV. I would like a new one .
