My local Kroger Marketplace in Englewood is my go-to grocery store. I rarely go inside the store. I’ve been using their curbside pickup since prior to the pandemic (i.e. since my hip replacement in 2018). I can “shop” online over a few days time to make sure I don’t forget to put something on my list. Their app lets me know if an item is low stock or out-of-stock. The app requests back up items and saves them in the app for future shopping. I can choose the day and time I want my pickup. Messages arrive via iPhone to let me know they’ve received my order and I also get reminders. There is a window of time to modify my order. The app asks if I want this appointment to go in my iPhone calendar. Often I’ll get a text that my order is ready early. Occasionally I’ve had my order postponed a couple of hours or until the next day when there aren’t enough workers to do the in-store shopping. This is due to employee illness or sheer volume of curbside shoppers. This is more common the day before a big holiday. When an order is postponed I get a phone call from an actual human to let me know of the delay. I’m OK with delays. No need to complain to employees. They are doing me a huge service by providing curbside service. Delays are beyond their scope of power. The app wants me to let them know I’m on my way and then which parking spot I’m in when I arrive. An employee comes to the car window to confirm my name and ask if I have any paper coupons. They carefully load my groceries in the trunk. It’s a totally painless process other than I have to unload the groceries when I get home. Forget something? Once I placed a minimum order of $35 and made another appointment the same day within a few hours. Now let’s talk ways to save money. There are personalized paper coupons mailed to your home. There are digital coupons online. I have the Kroger credit card and I get rebates. I also joined their Boost membership ($59 annually) and receive double points (or more) for fuel points (2 points for every dollar I spend). This discount pays for the Boost membership in no time. I’ve received as high as $1.50 off a gallon of gas. A receipt for your groceries arrives via online. Be sure to answer the survey attached to the receipt. At the end of the survey I’m notified that I’ll be rewarded with 5xs points for my next fuel purchase. 5xs discount can be used as a result of purchases that occur at least 7 days apart. The final receipt also has a space to request refunds for damaged items (once I had a yogurt that had opened) or if items are missing (i.e. once I got 3 instead of 4 of the same item). There are probably more ways to save money but this is all I’ve discovered. I’m very pleased with my curbside shopping at my Kroger Marketplace.

Everything I needed. Like the 2 for 1 items. There was an entire block of self check out machines ( 8 machines) not available. Don't know what that was about!

Shopped yesterday and the place is really gross. Took the two pictures over by the cheese and two by the meats. They only clean if there is an inspection coming up. And let's no talk about all the moving of items constantly and the long lines. I shop for 15 minutes and then stand in lines for 30 minutes or more. Poor customer service!

Every other time I schedule a pick up, they call at the last minute to push it back for hours or to the next day “because they don’t have enough people to fill these orders.” Would be nice if they would stop accepting orders they can’t fill or at least let someone know more than an hour before the scheduled pick up time.

Awful and getting worse. There are lines no matter time of day or number of customers. I've had a lane shut down while I was standing in line waiting. The place is dirty and there are so many items missing that were there last week. I've given up even going in. They either won't have what I want or there will be a massive line waiting at the check out. With as many self-scan stations as they have, you'd think you could check out easier. Not so. If you want a cart, better get one from the parking lot because there aren't any in the store. It's the Meijer or IGA for me.

I've been getting at least 4 bouquets here a year, forever. They are always so beautiful and last for on average 2 weeks. I love their selection and the prices are so adorable.

I usually shop at the Vandalia Kroger because it's closest to me. However, THIS is my Kroger now. Fantastic Marketplace with a huge, and fresh selection. I love it.

Absolutely packed, checkout lines halfway down the aisles... 2% milk was out and the dairy person said he'd would fill it in 5 minutes but didn't do anything for at least 20 min

Pick up order attempt. Got a call from Kroger. Was told "nothing you ordered is available." We don't have anything. Grapes, out of season. Bread, nope. Cocktail Sparkling Grape Juice... nothing. I then asked about Grape Juice? She replied, "I don't know." (How... if "nothing I ordered is available," do you not know??) I then proceeded to state that the App should reflect items out of season as NOT being available, and should state quantities of other items to reflect low in stock.She replied a few times... "we don't control the app." To which I replied that I was aware that she, or even people in the local store can control the app... but SOMEONE in the huge corporation of Kroger's does!!She offered a refund. I accepted and went to Walmart, picking up every single thing I'd ordered, except for grapes.Update: I then used the Walmart app, and found GRAPES at another Walmart location. I made the drive, and picked them up.Thank you Kroger App for being totally useless, unreliable, and for telling your staff to tell people that items that Kroger's does not have are out of season.

Waited forever for someone to answer the phone only to get transferred. After 15 minutes of the phone ringing, I hung up and called back, and she hung up on me. Tried a 3rd time and after 5 minutes of ringing I had to hang up. I live 30 minutes away and just wanted to ask a question. I'm not driving that far if they don't have what I need. Non-existent customer service!!! For the prices they charge, you'd think they'd be nice to customers.

DO NOT ORDER GROCERIES FROM THIS KROGERS! I placed an order for pick up for today at 6. I then got a text stating they were running behind and I couldn’t get my groceries until 7. Then a girl named Liz calls me and says I can not get my groceries at all and I have to wait until tomorrow to get anything because their system is making it hard for them to put peoples groceries together. She didn’t apologize or offer a discount or anything for the mess they have made. She said they have been having issues for 3 days and there was nothing stated on their website! They should warn their customers to shop somewhere else since they are unable to fulfill customers orders. I am livid right now and will never order from them again in the future.

I am extremely disappointed with the cake that I ordered from here. It is so sloppy, I'm embarrassed to bring it to my party. The cake was placed crooked on the cardboard underneath, so when I came to pick it up the icing was smashed and messed up on the back. The writing on it is so sloppy and not even spaced out. "birthday" is written into the side frosting of the cake you can't even read it. AND the cake is uneven on the top. it looks like it's melting, it's that uneven. I will never order another cake from here again. :( I'm seriously super upset.

Store is too small for the amount of people who shop here. I feel like a rat in a maze trying to navigate the store with the amount of displays and people all over the place blocking isles. The deli by far is the absolute worst!! It’s ridiculous the amount of time it takes to get lunch meat or cheese from the deli. Also the check out is a nightmare!! Hardly any checkout lanes open which forces you to do self checkout and during busy times it can take awhile waiting in line. They usually have one or two people helping all the self checkouts so if you need assistance it can take awhile for them to get to you. With inflation and prices increasing not only am I paying more for products but now I’m also spending more of my time in the grocery store trying to get what I need and check out. Thankfully The silver lining is I have found other local small businesses to spend my money with and support, and who also have higher quality products and are more customer focused. Corporate America has lost touched with the consumer.

Whoever was driving at 8:50 on Diamond Mill on 11/12 doesn’t need a license. Turned onto diamond mill and they blew threw the stop sign, then when I was pulling in my driveway they flew around us before we turned in, then continued to swerve and drive on the opposite side of the road. 👎🏽

Depending on the day/time you go it can either be a pain to checkout or you will breeze right through. Today was an easy day. In and out in 10 minutes for the few items I needed. Store was clean and organized.

So we used Kroger's delivery service for the 1st time tonight. We tipped well and the delivery fee was almost ten dollars so it was a bit more than hoped-for, we only ordered a few things but I couldn't have been more happy with their service. Everything was as ordered and promt with a courteous shopper/delivery person.

The app helps find everything and believe me, you'll need it. The selection is just amazing and the shelves are stocked unless there is a back log on order. You'll love their brands as well as their pricing.

Don’t shop here unless you have an hour to wait in the checkout line, and want to be run over by pickers while you shop. It’s consistently terrible, with lines backed up all the way to the rear of the store. They’ve removed entire lines of self-checkout machines to put in inconvenient conveyor-belt ones: basically just the outdated cashier lanes that they don’t pay people to operate, and it’s such a waste of time and space.

Used a Boost membership trial and, as someone who is physically disabled, was thrilled I could get free delivery of a small order. My husband and I placed our $35 order and it came.Then we were charged $150 for someone else's order. There were things on the list we were charged for that I wouldn't buy under duress. We called and they said they'd give us a refund in 7-10 days and a $20 store credit. This was last month and we still haven't gotten our money back.I've called, emailed- it's always the same. Pushed to someone else or told it'll be a few more days. We need our money back!

Edit requested... Still not a fan of going inside. Previous: So now this Krogers took away the mute option on the self checkout. I guess they want to see a crazy woman flip out! Why would you do that? That voice grates on my nerves! I'm really trying to deal with this place because it's so close to my house, but it is getting worse and worse. If it's not the dirty restrooms, the removal of Samsung Pay on the registers, or the lack of available items, it's something else.
