Came in yesterday. The aisles were all littered or blocked off with carts full of stuff. I'm one step away from calling the fire department because there is no way that this isn't some sort of fire code violation having so many aisles blocked off. The ones that aren't blocked are very difficult to get around. The thing that bothered me most, however, was I waited 15 minutes in line for checkout while a Grey haired employee allowed the person at the front to get out of line multiple times while making the rest of the line wait for her to come back. I had literally 3 items to purchase. If you're not ready to checkout don't come to checkout... and then finally 10 minutes later another employee came in and opened up another line, but then let another customer who had just got in line cut the line in front of all the other people (including myself) who had already been waiting for a while. I am seething. TERRIBLE customer service. You shouldn't allow line cutting. All this on top of the fact that the store randomly edits their hours whenever they want. I understand shortstaffing but it's been this way for months. Hire new people, get the aisles unblocked, improve customer service, dont allow people to cut the line, and just maybe you might have more people come in. I used to love shopping here and now I genuinely don't know if I will ever come back.

The store has improved dramatically since last year. It used to be a total chaotic mess all thetime and was very difficuly to navigate. It's still a little messy, but nowhere near as bad. Getting through the aisles is much easier, and the staff is pretty nice now.

I tried to go inside @ 6:49pm on a Friday evening & the lady working ran to the door & closed it & yelled “we’re closed”. This is the second time this has happened.

Tammy has done an amazing job turning this store around! Highly recommend stopping in to see it!I was stunned and can't wait to go back and look around more! It was fresh and beautiful! Fully stocked but neat and tidy!

This DG in Englewood should be shut down! Rip off artist! Nasty, dirty, and very cluttered. Don’t go here! I purchased several items and noticed afterwards when I looked at my receipt and one of the items I purchased I was overcharged by $2.00. I didn’t go back because I waited for someone to come check me out for several minutes and someone was at the self checkout and was needing assistance. Go to the West Milton store!

This store was remodeled months ago so why does it look like a lot of the Dollar Tree stores--trashed and disorganized? There was product blocking aisles, empty shelving and some products looked like they were shelved "just to find a place for it." I also found a lot of items were unpriced. The sign on the outside of the store says REMODELED to serve you better. Well, new isn't always better! I'm a very casual shopper to this store (a few times a year) but I won't make any special trips here anytime soon.

How this store ever got four stars, Is Way Beyond me! MOST OF THE TIME, You have to wait on yourself at the self-checkout, you CANNOT use cash, or purchase ANYTHING behind the counter, cigarettes, phones etc, then this morning, a young boy that works there, was so EXTREMELY RUDE to my husband, he had a $50 bill, IT DOESN'T STATE ANYWHERE THEY DON'T TAKE LARGER BILLS, he told my husband, "I don't have to wait on you, & you can't do anything to me..??!!!wth? This store is a joke, FULL OF INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE , SMH!🤬🤬🤬 close whenever they want, absolutely no rules there.

The thing with this place is it's severely understaffed & always has been since it opened in 2011. There is never more than 3 employees at any given time & sometimes only 2. I know because I go there at least twice a week since it's 2 blocks from my house. That's completely unacceptable in a store that size but welcome to corporate America. The company knows it has been this way since the beginning but doesn't care. As long as people keep shopping there, paying their prices that they have been steadily increasing at least once or twice a year over the past 4 years at least, & are able to get away with continuing to pay their employees minimum wage it won't change. I've watched this happen over the past few years. It's a shame hard working employees aren't appreciated in this day & age. Basically, they have a large turnover because the workers finally get tired of being worked like dogs for little pay all the while being told what they're doing wrong instead of being praised for anything at all. Plus they're made to work on holidays & even made to come in an hour early on Thanksgiving to get extra things done. The only day DG is closed is Christmas & that surprises me. This company, like most others, has finally become very greedy & now treat their employees like garbage in order to become another corporate giant & forget how they got there in the beginning. Sad. It used to be a nice little store/company in the 80's & 90's. I say stop leaving comments/complaints on here & start flooding Dollar General corporate offices with email complaints letting them know that their stores have become unacceptable. Once they start getting a few thousand or more they'll start to listen. They don't want things to get to outta control knowing that hundreds of thousands or possibly millions of consumers are banning together. More employees will be staffed, wages will go up & changes will be made. Until then, deal with cluttered isles, rising prices & disgruntled workers. Or don't. Stop shopping there & start sending your emails. It's up to the consumer. Without us they have no power. Cheers!

The staff is always very friendly. They are great for a last minute stop without the convenience price tag. The One thing that drives me crazy though is that the aisles are usually overflowing so it's hard to walk down with a cart and with a child.

I always loved stopping in here for a quick item here and there but they need serious help, lines to check out are always long and the store is a horrible mess, stuff all over the floor.

I love dollar general. They always have what I need and great prices. On certain things they are cheaper than Walmart. Definitely at lot less crowded. That is the only issue a out dollar general, they normally only have one clerk checking people out. When it gets a little busy you'll see someone pop up to help out. It's worth it. The parking is right outside the door, you don't have to walk half a mile to your car, imagine that!

Kind of dirty, stock on carts taking up valuable walking around space in all ready tight aisles, and sales clerks that look and act like they are slaving away in the pits of Mordor. Pretty much a general malaise from the moment you walk into the store, until the time you leave.Only good thing is, we found what we needed and boot scooted out the door as soon as we could!

The worst dollar general in the area. They are never open when they are suppose to be! The aisles are always blocked with stuff that need to be put on the shelf to where you can’t walk around. Sitting in the parking lot having to go to the west Milton dollar general.

No matter when I go the aisles are crowded with stock and I never see anyone putting it away. If you are able to get down an aisle then at the end there is more product sitting in the way. Usually what I going there for is blocked and unable to reach it, I sometimes just go down the street to the CVS.

The lady that waited on me was so nice and friendly. I wish more employees had that friendly happy personality. She seemed genuinely happy I was there. Definitely will shop there again.

The Trotwood store is always a total mess. Aisles blocked, items on floor, products unavailable and cooler out of service or empty. The other stores are a pleasant experience. Clean and well-stocked.

This particular DG was equipped with everything I needed today plus I needed to use the rest room and it was surprisingly neat and clean a plus for me 😁 anyway the store was not cluttered and I was able to move about it freely without falling all over stuff.

This place is a joke come into the shop see the prices on the shelves then when it's time to check out you're totally paying different prices I asked the lady I should get it for that price what it says on the price tag but I get this excuse someone must have put the wrong one up and I can't change it cuz my system won't do it for me what a crock trust me stay away from this place.

The job that I do I don't necessarily get back to the building very often so a public restroom that is clean and a nice building is a little Slice of Heaven. Both of their bathrooms were out of order... Both of them? I was very sad!

When most stores were closed this Thanksgiving, DG kept its doors openand I, for one, was thankful to be able toshop in a low-density store (as the store was busy, but not crowded, like Meijer).

Convenient and friendly. They had run out of some staple items and were a little closer to gas station price than grocery store price, but overall good place to go if you need something quick.

This store needs work.. workers are slow and nothing is ever put away. Isles are crowded with unpacked merchandise and the store is generally dirty. Employees are not enthusiastic but who can blame them when they do not have proper help and work on such a dirty overcrowded store. Takes entirely too long to check out
