Very nice store. I went specifically for an item, it was the only local location to have it. They not only had it, the price was much higher than they had listed online. However, when I mentioned it to the employee she price matched!!! The store was very well organized and the employees were very nice.

This place is great for finding the right deals on things, sometimes even better than Amazon. However, if I don't have to go, I absolutely won't. Something about selling so many brands of a product containing poisonous ingredients rubs me the wrong way. There are certain plants cats can't eat, and it's in so many products! This suggests they care more about profit than the actual animals they say they revere. And at this location in particular, the fish and reptiles look so pathetic. There was more than one tank with multiple dead fish in it. And when I casually mentioned it to the cashier, she just Said "yeah, we know." I don't think I'm allowed to cuss on here, but what the heck man?

I took my dogs which are great payrenees and then shaved them down to the skin. Tried to tell me their whole bodies were heavily matted which was bull. If they would have taken the time to brush out the under coat they would have been fine. I highly recommend no one take ur dog to petco in chestnut commons. Now my dogs wont even 0go out side , i have to take them out on a leash to go potty and them put a warm towel around them when i bring them in cuz its so cold for them . Never again will i go back there, worst experience ive ever had with a si called groomer which they are not.

Great place to buy kitty toys and cat nip for my Furbaby. Staff is super friendly and kind. Love looking at the ferrets and the little budgies. I wish I could get my furbabies prescription diet food here to make my trip easier but they have everything else I need. ♡

They will use sales tactics to aggressively try to upsell you the most expensive pet food. I was shamed for using our current brand. An employee “helped” us for over half an hour while we were trying to quickly find out the cheapest brand of food- they followed us around the store and constantly pestered us to buy more expensive items.

Great service. I bought a dog bed online from Petco and it was the brand Reddy and it is canvas and I have had it about a week now and my 4 dogs use it and it has not even gotton a hole or tear yet. Very happy and pleased with my purchase.

I went into store for fish and cat supplies. I was helped after seeking a associate to help in fish department. Very well pleased with service. I needed or wanted cat toys but left with none ... due to the fact all are "Made in China responsibly" what does that mean and who is watching them to be responsible? Can you please ask your buyers to shop somewher else like .... "MADE IN THE USA"????

I took a recently acquired cat in to be chipped. I had an appointment at the Petco in Chestnut Commons and was asked to check in when we arrived. When we entered the store we were looking for a sign for the pet clinic. A member of the staff noticed and directed us to the far right corner of the store. They were very busy but there were two intake people who took our name, weighed Romeow and took his picture. They noticed that he had been tested for Leukemia and suggested he get vaccinated for Leukemia, The doctor and assistant were very efficient in transferring him from his carrier and onto the table. They listened to his heart, gave him his shot, and chipped him without him making any fuss. The store and clinic were clean and well stocked. I didn't think to take any pictures.

Kevin was helping and he is quite knowledgeable about nutritional needs for my dog. Everyone was very helpful. In today's world it is hard to find good, knowledgeable and caring people. I found that and it was GREAT!

The staff is super friendly and the store is immaculate. The prices are pretty steep. For example I get my dog refrigerated logs at Drugmart for $16, same brand here is $35. They carry higher end dog treats, so if your looking for beggin strips, pepperoni go elsewhere.

Kali is the best!! Super friendly and knowledgeable. I had a few questions regarding my new leaped gecko and she was SO helpful. She helped me find the perfect heat lamp and tank thermometer within my budget. She also helped me sign up for the vital care premier as well as the Petco credit card and took the extra time to explain how it works and answered all my questions.

One of two customers in the store with three employees working. Two employees clearly saw me standing in line but they continued to laugh and gossip. A third employee came out of the back and rudely walked past me, almost ran into me, never said a word. I continued waiting for another 2 minutes, the other customer was now in line, and finally the girls decided to stop laughing and ring us out. Terrible customer service. Rude employees.

This is a very friendly store, the associates are both knowledgeable and helpful. If a return is necessary, they handle it graciously and with ease. When asking for solutions for my pet, they are happy to help, and will seek the advice of another employee if they do not know. I will return to this store!

Weird interaction with male associate. He was condescending and inappropriate when he did finally see me standing at the register. There are many pet stores in northeast Ohio so no need to shop here if young men cannot keep creepy comments to themselves.

Really nice Petco location. Clean store and usually friendly staff. Doesn't have as large of a selection as the ones in Avon or Strongsville but it has most items. -1 star because the stock inventory in the app/website is almost always inaccurate. Either they have an out of stock item or you'll go and find out that what their site says they have in stock isn't in stock.

I had the dog groomed at Petco on Chestnut Commons in Elyria, Dana the groomer did an excellent job on the dog. I'm doing an update as of June 2018, I took the dog back to be groomed again this time it was a very poor job his legs weren't trimmed properly his hind quarters were Shaggy was very disappointing unprofessional job the second time. I'm lowering my rating from five stars to two stars

There fish online is one price when you go to there store front it cost more and they won't price match from there own website on fish. And they did not tell me there is no returne policy for dead fish if they are salt water until I spent over 70$ on fish. They are good did not die yet but still would like to know b4 I spent that much.

I ran in to get some fly/mosquito spray for my dog for our trip south. I had seen it online so when i got there i showed an employee the picture and he got it for me. I didnt know this but their prices online are lower than in store. You can show them the online price and you'll be charged that price( for me a $8 saving)
