The best food and service our large group (28-30 adults) has seen in a Very Long Time. If you have a large group that is looking for a delicious meal and excellent service. JC Wine Cellars can accommodate.From the outside you wouldn't believe that inside is an appetizing delight waiting. My husband had the pork ribeye. He said it was the most delicious pork, he ever had. I ordered the vegetarian cheese ravioli. The sauce was fresh and delicious. The fresh bread that was also served to our group along with our salads was fresh and very tasty. My dessert of lemon berry crumb cake with creamy filling was the envy of our group. Several admirers had to get dessert too. I HIGHLY recommend this hidden secret. I can't wait to return and try another dessert ( and of course, dinner)

All around excellent dining! Service is cordial and attentive. Atmosphere is unique and cozy. The food is phenomenal. Recommendations: fig & chèvre salad, ravioli, NY strip, crème brûlée. There is a bar in the front as well. You might have to park in the lot across the road if it’s crowded. Can’t say enough about how great JC Wine Cellars is!

This waa by far my favorite place when my husband and I visited Ohio for our 1y anniversary. we chose JC Wine cellars for our 1st night dinner and bc this spot was about a 20m drive from our b&b and bc we were not from the area (we drove in from Rochester NY), we missed our reservation completely!!! They were preparing to close and took us anyways. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves!! This made us feel so special. I believe both the husband and wife are chefs at this location and the food was incredible!!! From the outside you'd never know the amount of tasteful beautiful that lies within. We even had a lone cricket join us for dinner. The Oliver Wine is like none other and I almost wish I had bought a bottle back home with me. The candlelit dinner was super romantic and intimate. The calamari sticks were out of this world as was the lobster tail. This place would be our go to spot every time if it were located closer to home. I'll never forget how kind the lady serving our table was. She was super knowledgeable and eager to serve. The pricing is up there but if your looking for fine dining and outstanding wine, JC is the place!!

We had a large party (20) and they handled our service extremely efficiently. Everybody in the group thought the food was fantastic. My lobster stuffed sea bass was delicious and my gin and soda with lime was perfect! Look forward to another visit.

JCWine Cellars never disappoints. The ambience is warm and cozy very welcoming. The servers attentive, personable and helpful in describing each dish on the menu. However by far the food was outstanding! It is said you eat with your eyes first and that's certainly true here. Presentation was first rate. We four ordered something different from the menu and all were deliciously palatable. We will definitely be returning.

July of 2022 ... Visited while staying in the area on my way home from a Puscifer concert in Detroit. When we told the hostess "two people"She replied "Do you have reservations?" We asked do you need reservations? She replied Today you do, and walked away.

Loved it! Best salmon I have ever tasted, bar none. Every course was delicious. Our server, Michelle, was amazing. Will return every time I am in town. This establishment is a hidden gem. Worth seeking it out. You will not be disappointed.

Have gone here for nearly 20 years and the food is perfect every time. I have never been let down. I visit every year with my friends from Columbus, and we agree every time, you can’t get better food for these low prices anywhere in the state! Birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations of any kind the location, the atmosphere and the service can only be beaten by the food itself.

Never fails to be amazing! Loved the twin lobster tails, the caesar salad was fabulous and my husband's sea bass was delicious! The only downside is that they ran out of a few menu items. Would highly recommend this hidden gem!

Surprising find in a rural area, well worth the trip.Comfortable restaurant with enjoyable atmosphere, friendly and competent service, interesting wine list.Tip: Most all dishes are made from scratch.- the pot roast is wonderful, so is the duck with Orange/Grand Marnier glaze.The Cesar Salad is superb - with anchovies of course.Really inexpensive - well worth a visit.

Hidden gem , but out of the way. LOVE THE DUCKLING A LA ORANGE....perfect every time I get this entree.. THE light ORANGE dessert is wonderful following dinner. LIGHT FLAVOR THAT LINGERS ON... BEST Waitress in the Ohio Valley. She has only been performing job a couple months and doing this type of work to get out among people (works in home office) . HUSBAND had a house wine which matched perfect with the duck sauce.. Will always return......

Worth whatever drive you need to make. "The marinated chicken at JC Wine Cellars" is remembered regularly back home in Michigan. Family members claim it the best they ever had! Anytime I'm within an hour drive, I eat here.

On a Thursday at 7:00, there only two other tables in the entire place. It took over a half hour for the salads to be brought out - of which the quality was something you'd get from a Pizza Place. It took over an hour for the main course to come out, one which was clearly served with frozen microwave vegetables - for a place that prides itself on the quality of its food (clearly in the price), i was severely disappointed.

The only reason I gave it two stars is because it is the only romantic spot in that area, though it is part of an old garage.lol The prices are high and ill prepared.Gives new meaning to al'dente more like all dented.lol totally under cooked, weak in flavor.But if you like mystery good luck I felt like Jaque Costeau looking for the shrimp,crab and lobster.but if you need someplace close.that is way over priced you found it and didn't have to look far.
