I love the selection here, and I love coming back for my favorites and exploring the new items they seem to get all the time.The prices are always reasonable and they carry quite a few hidden gems!Big Lots continues to satisfy. Their selection of items is still amazing, and you can find so many interesting finds, from food to decorations to clothing.

Loaded my furniture wrong after i told them they were they said "well its how we load all of them". Well piece of the couch fell out of the truck. They also had as back down a loading dock made for semi trailers to load it around back in a dark alley and had us waiting while there were several suspicious characters hanging around the alley.

This goes for all stores. I called the store to confirm they had a specific recliner and sofa. They only had the sofa. I called another local store and they had the chair. I was going to pickup with my truck, but then stressed one would sell before I could get there. Didn’t want to be searching for matching furniture. So I ordered both items online immediately after I got confirmation from both stores of availability. They didn’t hesitate to take out my 900 plus dollars, but I received 3 emails. One to confirm my order. Two was cancellation of the orders, chair and sofa, because of insufficient stock. Which I confirmed with the associate at each store previous to the order. Later in the day I decided to try again. Same thing, placed order, took another 900 dollars. Only to be cancelled again. I called customer service and complained. Only to have 3 different reps not seem to listen to me. Just acted dumb. And suggested I call the stores for availability. Which I explained that I did call the stores for confirmation of the items, and immediately placed the order. So I called and spoke to an associate at one store and they said that online could say they have 1, but it may be the floor model, which they don’t sell until they know no more will be coming to the store. Plus, online isn’t real time stock for stores. So, waiting for 1800 dollars plus to be refunded to my credit card in the next 10 days. Why have online shopping if you don’t get what you ordered. It’s like we order, not receive it, but we are loaning them money for 10 days. Over 1900 dollars and a headache from blood pressure later. I’ll just shop at a furniture store local. I would rate negative stars for the online and customer service. Stick with in store shopping.

The big lots in east liverpool ohio the store manager is rude and not helpful acts like its his money and furniture all. Over $17. On a floor model that was on clearance..After i spent $1200. At big lots (in Bridgeville pa they were great ) and was looking to buy more furniture dining room set and bedroom set in about a month Not at east liverpool.. my money spends anywhere but there in east liverpool.

I'll give him a star but she scanned something up that I didn't I told her please take off I don't have the item but I paid for it I still have to go back and see if I can square it away I don't hopefully they can play box of video and watch she forgot to take it off and I still paid for it I thought it was a little bit high in my bill.

when Big Lots first opened, it was my Father's favorite store. Back then I wasn't so impressed. But Big Lots has improved with the years. Every store is very clean that I have been to, they are pricey on some items but if you keep an eye out the clearance racks are pretty good.

They don’t even deserve one star. Their prices are high you can find the same stuff cheaper in other stores. We bought a box spring for our bed. It broke in two months. We pulled the cloth back and it’s not even box springs it’s flimsy wire. We called to see if we could get a refund. We had ordered it online and picked up in the store so they told us we had to have receipt and the bag it came it. We only could find our online receipt So we had to take an exchange. We didn’t even have this box of wires two weeks and it did the same thing. They won’t return and let us buy a better one from them unless we have the receipt, they won’t accept the online receipt. I wouldn’t buy any of their furniture if this is how they handle business.

Not a bad store. I wasnt impressed with some of the isles being pretty narrow and the line to get to checkout was like an obstacle. Also wasnt super impressed with the prices to be honest.I favor the Boardman BigLots more so than the Calcutta one, personally.

Just want to say my son works there and I've heard from tons of ppl of how hard and a good worker he is, he pushes himself to do what they want done, he takes appliances apart and puts them back together, unloads the trucks when they come in, there have been ppl come to the store and buy stuff and not know how to put it together when they get home and James offers to go put it together at there home on his own free time, without getting paid to do so. I know cause I took him mysef, now how many workers do u know that does that.i. not saying this because he's my son I'm saying this because he's a hard worker and needs to be appreciated for what he does. And I believe the corporate office needs to know they have some hard workers out there not just a selected few. Yes at the calcutta ohio branch.
