Don’t come to this store if you want fast customer service. I shop at this store often and more times than not, when i’m ready to pay I have to wait in a line. When this happens one of the employees hurries to the counter, but Tim is usually sitting on his phone with an unoccupied register.

Had a complicated plumbing problem and Greg took the time to construct my setup for me in the store so it was dummy proof. Would recommend for quick home projects

There are no helpful hardware folks when its close to closing time. Don't assume you can go to Ace Hardware in Dover, OH without employees complaining about helping you 30 minutes before they close. Sorry. I thought you were still open. They close at 7 and I arrived at 6:30 to then be walking out the door at only 6:45. At which time, the disgruntled workers turned off all the lights to discourage someone like me from coming in. Also, pretty sure they meant to say they ARE short people but if it is how they say, you should definitely check your change before you walk out of the store.

I drive an hour to pick up an item. The tag says one price, and the register shows up $30 more. They point to a hand written note saying they won’t honor the prices that are marked on the item. Must be nice to put whatever you want as a price in your computer and not honor what’s on the price tags.Who should I be asking for? The manager didn’t care that the price on the tag and what I was told on the phone didn’t match what was in the computer.

It's my local hardware store so I'm there pretty often. Everyone is always professional and helpful especially Greg. His customer service plus knowledge goes above and beyond. He actually changed my wife's tire one time why he was on his break. Thanks

Had to change my experience here all the people that used to work there are no longer there being in there was like all the joy was ripped out of the place it used to feel like home now its just a place where crabby old people work here the atmosphere is all wrong now bad experience all around I'm so glad Greg is still there or it wouldn't be worth the time and effort. There used to be so much joy there where two guys that used to work here that just brought absolute joy here and now there gone.

Great customer service! I didn't have to stand and wait on someone to help me. I had an idea of what I needed when I got there, but a ton of questions. Sean was great about answering my question, he was knowledgeable , patient and kind. I will definitely be back!

Lousy service. Cashier mumbled so badly I couldn't even understand him. Card reader broken. Swiper broken. I wound up leaving my intended purchased on the counter and walking out. It's pretty bad when the staff makes the jokers at Lowe's look like expert-level hardware pros. I'll never, ever visit this Ace again, and it used to be a weekly shopping stop at least!
