They allow people to set up food trucks in their parking... And when Bubblebee tea overcharged me, the owner said I should never speak to him that way... I was the third person in a row that this food truck ripped off...I thought Ace hardware would be better at protecting its customers and not allowing thieves to work out of their lot.

I went in the store looking for 5 items. Since this was my first time in the store I decided to look the place over. It has hardware and a great gift shop as well. After looking around, I was impressed. I had found all but one item. I easily found a friendly clerk and he showed me what I needed. A great experience! I'll be back

Went in to get a new weed eater, needed an employee to get it down since they have them hanging for some stupid reason. Told cashier what I needed, got blown off, asked another associate for help he said he would be right back before disappearing into the back. Stood around for 10 minutes waiting and he never showed back up so I left. Never shopping there again.

If flickering LED lights bother you, maybe shop somewhere else. I came in looking for a tool but left quickly, bothered by the lighting. Flicker-free LEDs are available but cost more. Other than the lighting problem, the store looks new and reasonably stocked. Nonetheless I could not find a digging/tamping bar (shale bar) among the shovels, rakes, and other yard and garden tools.

I have been in this store hundreds of times in the last 20 years and today was one of the best experiences I have ever had in this store. The store might have been understaffed as Megan was answering phones, ringing up customers and answering questions from customers like me. Eventhough she was being pulled in several directions, she took the time to help me locate a very particular tool. She has outstanding customer service skills and brings value to her customers. She is a brand ambassador for your store and should be considered for a management role. Kudos to the owners for employing such a caring professional!!!Mike Gale

Not a good place for paint.Their Stihl selection is of course great, I don't recommend the lower priced stihl products. Buying parts can take hours for in stock to months for ordered parts. I would not order parts again. During banker hours is the best tome to check for in stock parts. There is a tremendous selection of hardware store goods. 👌 the rental stuff is a great resource as well.Their tubing sold by the foot. I purchased some 0.25" tubing rated for 180 degrees. A hot water feed to a humidifier. I installed the tubing, it expanded several inches and burst from the 120 degree water from my water heater. They purchased cheap tubing and didn't bother replacing the literature on their display. Lucky I caught it before flooding my house.VERY high prices and a rather limited selection. Keep in mind. But for a quick trip for something better than nothing. The staff are usually friendly if not helpful.

I am beyond furious over my interactions with this store over the last week. I went in to get a smart fob duplicated for my Jeep Cherokee because their website claims this is a service Ace does for its customers. I have never had a worse customer service experience!! I had to visit the store 4 times and worked my way up the chain of store managers only for them to leave me empty handed.My first visit left me hopeful. Worked with an associate who was kind and helped me pick out a key that would work for me. She gave me the price for what it would cost and asked me to come back in next day since management was out and they were required to make a key. This visit was great and I had no issues what so ever.Visit 2 was terrible! I had two assistant managers trying to figure out how to use the machine. They then took the key I had picked out and told me "This key is not compatible" and claimed I needed to purchase a key $60 more expensive if I wanted it done. Despite me explaining what the first associte had done, they pressed more that I was wrong and that the key I picked out was wrong. I reluctantly agreed and then watched them continue to try and figure out the machine. They then concluded with a "We can't do this for you." I was instructed that I would need to call ahead next day to confirm the manager was in store because only he can make my key.Today, I visited the store for the 3rd time. Called ahead and was told that the manager was at the store. I showed up 5min later to be told that he was actually out of the store at that time and would be back soon.Then visit 4... I arrived and met the store manager at the back desk. The store manager proceeded to tell me that they can not create a key for my car since it is a push button start vehicle. Unfortunately, the manager lacked any sort of compassion over what they had put me through. I tried to ask for more info and he told me "You have to go to the dealership and get the key from them." The manager was not very friendly toward me and had decided he was not going to help me. The interaction left me very upset.I have visited this Ace frequently since I moved to Delaware a few years ago. This is by far the worst customer experience I have encountered!

I had purchased a hand sprayer for herbicides, ( not able to find my older one) my older one had miraculously reappeared. So the next day I took the new sprayer back to Ace. I'm very meticulous on saving receipts, however I was not able to find this receipt, and I took it in a store credit. The young cashier was able to find the receipt where I had paid. And issued the store credit. The next morning I received the notice on my account that the money had been refunded to my account. So I took the store credit back to Ace and returned it. I was impressed with the young man that help me. Being old sometimes there's a miscommunication does make the full process in a person's brain but anyhow this young man was very professional it's a clean store they have a nice gun showcase, and very helpful the whole staff whenever looking for something. I will continue making this my first choice when needing hardware

Prices are always nearly insulting, selection on the other hand is nice. The owner(male) is a delight to encounter, his wife(I'm assuming) on the other hand is awful. Never had a friendly interaction or seen her with a smile. Really makes me not want to come in when I see her

There are a couple of reasons I gave a low score.1. It appears inventory tracking is not a priority. More times than I can count I have been disappointed by the lack of very ordinary common everyday hardware items. A good example is 3/4 and 1/2 inch CPVC pipes and fittings. The bins are commonly empty and those items are what is used in most of the houses around here and should be in plentiful supply. This is just one easy example but this happens more often than not on many common everyday items. It has happened enough that I go to another hardware store almost exclusively even though it is much less convenient of a location.2. There typically appears to be 4-6 employees out on the floor when I've been there. Very rarely does anyone open a second register when there is a line of shoppers waiting. I waited in line almost 30 minutes one day while 2 employees were chatting it up at the paint area and others were walking by the line of customers oblivious.You got 2 stars instead of one because of your convenient location and the fact that, aside from the register problem, your employees are generally pleasant and helpful.Update 10/18/19I am changing my review to 5 stars as there has been a major improvement as of late and I believe in credit where credit is due. Inventory has improved and most of all the staff has been much more observant of the checkout line. Props to the team there for the vast improvement.

I like to shop at Ace because it's a small locally-owned business. Their prices are a little higher than the big box stores sometimes, but they have a decent selection of products and even some interesting treats up front. The employees are helpful when it comes to locating things in the store.

Very good customer service. I needed backup keys. My phone call confirmed they could do it. When I entered I went to the cashier and he directed me to the back counter where the key guy would meet me. Minutes later I was walking back to the cashier with my keys. I'll be back often.

Great family owned Hardware store! They always have people available to help and always have what I'm looking for. The store is clean and organized and their prices are fair and often have sales and coupons through the rewards program. Go here before the big box store you won't be disappointed.
