Took our cat Benji in for a haircut. I thought that they did a good job but Ruby didn't like the back of his head so she trimmed a little off. We waited while he was being done since it was a 35 minute ride there. We forgot to ask for a bath so he was done pretty quickly and the price was only $70.00.

I have taken my dogs to this business over the course of about 2 years now for various services-grooming, daycare and boarding. I have not had bad experiences with the daycare or boarding, my issue is the grooming.I currently have a goldendoodle (about 65 lbs) and a shih tzu mix (about 15 lbs) and they are both just over 1 year old now. My dogs are very kind, loving dogs and they behave pretty well in whatever situation I throw them into. Their first appointment for grooming here was in May of this year, I remember them saying that Tucker had a hard time with the appointment (he tends to be a little shy and this was his first grooming ) and that Charlie had a hard time as well (he had been groomed at least 3 times prior) and they recommended that I bring the dogs in every 2 weeks for baths to get them used to being there. I dont know about anyone else-but no one I know takes their dogs in every 2 weeks for a bath..Their next appointment was in June, they said they both had some mats but that they overall did very well with the appointment and I was very happy with the way they looked. (Different groomer)Their next appointments were September and they said the dogs did awful. She recommended that my little dog have medication when he comes in and to bring him in every 2 weeks to get his nails trimmed because he peed on himself when she was doing it. They also said my doodle did awful and he was so scared of the dryer. (same groomer as first appointment)Honestly, after this appointment I was ticked and I did not want to bring them back for grooming anymore. However, I scheduled them an appointment about a week and a half ago for them both to come back for grooming today at 9am. When I got there, the groomer was grooming anther dog and just stared at me like "why are you here", then proceeded to put her mask on and come to the counter. She asked me who I had today and I said I'm here for Charlie and Tucker's grooming and she said I dont have them on the schedule today. I asked why and stated that I made the appointments online. She said I rejected them because I already had 3 doodles today and I wouldn't have enough time to get them all done. So I said "ok so when can I bring them in" and then said never mind because I was so angry!! I drove all the way there, with my dogs, took my dogs inside, back out to the car, back home and I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THAT MY APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED!!! I'm sorry but if you have a business, you need to communicate better with your clients.Needless to say, I will NOT take my dogs there for ANY service and I already booked another grooming for them. I was going to give them a FOURTH chance but this was the icing on the cake for me.I understand some people have great experiences here, but we have not.

I've been using the daycare and boarding service for a few months and I would highly recommend them. My pups are well taken care of, when we took vacation for spring break my mind didn't worry one time if they were okay, we even got update emails with pictures on how they were enjoying their own little vacation. Even after the trip I see myself using their services to just give our pups play time with their friends.

This place has always been 5 stars and I have used their services for years and years for my dogs and my cat, people are very friendly and great groomers! So I got a new puppy yorkshire 4.5 lbs and took him there for his 1st groom at 9 weeks old. I went to pick him up and a very unhappy young woman brought him to me, and said he was very wiggly and was acting scared and it took 2 people to groom him and that I should have got him used to grooming before I brought him there,I was like ok....but he is 9 weeks old and I just got him? Just a very strange experience. So the next 2 times I take to a different groomer and then he was doing much better being groomed as he got older so I made a online appt thinking it would be ok to take him back, but then I got a very surprising phone call from the same unhappy groomer asking if I had taken him to another groomer since he had been there, because if I hadn't his fur would probably be to matted up for them to handle, I then said yes, he has been to the groomers and his hair was not matted at all. Pause...ummmm I still think we better not do it because of how he acted last time...you mean when he was at your place at 9 weeks old and 4.5 lbs? So you are saying I should find another groomer? Umm yes, that's would be best!! LOL omg that was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I said fine and hung up. Later I thought mabe the owners would like to know about this seeing as the unhappy girl had just cost them money and future money! So I emailed them and guess what? They never even responded!! Not sure if the employee got to the email 1st and deleted it or that the owners just didn't care, which is hard to believe, because they had always been so nice but I just don't know!

Our 10mo old babies (Pug & Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) have been going to Delaware Pet Stuff since they were 7mo old for daycare & socialization per recommendation from my sister. This weekend, they had their first slumber party and it was such a relief to pick them up happy and feel they were with familiar faces, loved & well cared for while we were away. I love when we get report cards and details about their visit. Our Cav, Bow, doesn’t get too excited (barking, whining, talking, etc.) unless we say “Do you want to go play with your friends at school today?” and then she goes nuts! Happy going in and happy coming out. I’m also hoping for help with training in the future because they can be CRAZY 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️. Thank you so much for your patience with this nervous dog mom and taking good care of our little fur kiddos!

Long Story Short: Apparently when I showed up at 10:50am this morning for my 11am appointment, I was told my appointment was at 9am. When I went to pull up my confirmation I was quickly told that they have had "many" issues with my dog being groomed. I have taken my dog to this groomer since I have had her (6 years now) and have NEVER had a bad report. In fact, she has gotten so good about it, she has started letting us groom her at home so I only take her in about once a year for a full groom with all the works and pay extra. The groomer they assigned her to today however, has never wanted to do her when we bring her in as a walk in to do her nails. Today I was told multiple stories about having some video (that I nor my husband) have ever seen that she was flailing around on a table and over the bar about to hurt herself. I asked to see the video and they told me that it was a few months ago (my dog has not been here in over a year) and they no longer had it. Finally when I was talking with the groomer she said she showed it to my husband who picked her up last and when I said he didn't she then retracted and said 2 young girls maybe my daughters had picked my dog up the last time....Um no, sorry I only have a 9 year old daughter. They couldn't show me any video or proof that my dog was the issue however the groomer mentioned many MANY times that my dog may hurt herself so I decided it was probably a good idea NOT to leave my beloved pet with someone who may hurt her. I was able to look at my records of the loving video her last groomer left of her very last groom.

I have been taking my dogs to DPS for 4 yrs now, daycare, boarding, bathes they do it all. Stuff is very friendly. When the dogs are waiting at the front door of the house because they want to go to daycare I know they are treating them right.

Good place for dog boarding but their are no cameras to check in on your buddy except for daily report card which is awesome. Cannot tour building for peace of mind. No large grass area, mainly all inside and blacktop. But with that being said this is still my kennel of choice. They offer grooming while boarded and extra packages. Website is easy to navigate. I take mg dogs here and continue to

We took our dog Shelby to Delaware Pet Stuff for the first time last week. They took great care of our dog while she was there and she looked great when we picked her up! They did a great job of making sure every detail was taken care of and wouldn’t let her leave until she looked perfect. The staff was exceptionally friendly as well. We will definitely be going back!

I take Zeus (who is my legally blind Grandma's German Shepherd) here to get his nails done every 8 weeks and a bath a few times a year for her. All of the staff have always been amazing. Several of them have went above and beyond a few times when they didn't have to. That speaks volumes for their character and certainly shows that they really care and aren't there just for the paycheck. Their prices are also very competitive and better than a vet, for sure! I enjoy taking Zeus in every time and if I had my own dog, this would be the place I would go to.Highly recommended!!

I took both my golden retriever and cockapoo for a bath a haircut. They both looked so good afterwards. The prices are good and the staff is very friendly. Took about 4 hours. I also love how the staff sends pictures and reports about how the dogs did. Definitely will be going back!

My mother has been taking our pup here ever since she found these guys when she moved to Delaware. So of course when I relocated here myself I decided to take my two guys and see what all the hype was about..!These guys are impressive, kind, very hard working and treat you like they would treat anyone else. They have a wonderful environment for doggie daycare and they also have an awesome separate salon space to boot. They treat my boys like members of the family and I definitely plan to take them back here and nowhere else..!Thanks Pet Stuff Delaware "Robbie" looks dashing and smells like a fresh basket of fruits.!

Normally I hate when people leave reviews when they haven't fully experienced the service, but I'm frustrated enough with this place to leave a review. We're new to the area and have been struggling to find a highly rated boarding facility where our dogs wouldn't just be left in a cage all day long. Over the past month I have left 3 voicemails, sent an email, and filled out their registration on the website. No one has called me back or contacted me at all. Finally I had my husband call one last time and leave a message, and still no call back. Luckily yesterday we found another option we are hoping works out well, but people should be wary trusting a business who either doesn't care about customers or is too unorganized to return messages.

We boarded our Rottweiler puppy since he's in the puppy teething stage and we needed to go out of town for a funeral. Our puppy had a health issue come up out of nowhere while we were over three hours away. I felt like the staff was bending over backwards to make sure that our puppy was taken care of so we didn't have to rush home from my grandmother's funeral! I'm really glad that we found such a wonderful staff to care for our puppy!

I've been taking my dogs here for years to get their nails cut. A nice man used to do it and allowed me to help by holding my dogs as they would squirm. He was very patient and understanding when I told him my dogs had hip dysplasia. With my help it took less than 10 minutes to do both dogs. (large breed). The nice guy no longer cuts nails and one of the girls Danielle does them now. She refused to let me help and had my dogs screaming and crying in pain from forcing them into positions that made them fall off the table and in turn, choke them due to the flimsy restraining collar they use. After 30 minutes Danielle gave up and didn't complete the nail trimming BUT her manager still charged me full price and told me that it's not their fault that my dogs have hip dysplasia.DO NOT RECOMMEND for anyone who cares about their dogs if they have medical problems and require patience, love, and care. I felt like a number and was disgusted at the level of service as well as their lack of empathy towards animals. Perhaps this was a one time occurrence but I'm not willing to give them another shot because in that one visit they had two shots with both of my dogs being one each and they treated both my dogs the same way. I'll never come here again. I hope others don't have to experience what I did.

We boarded our dog here while on vacation. They sent us updates and pictures. Our dog was exhausted from playing when we picked him up and that was a great thing. We have also used them for doggy daycare and they are very reasonable.

My rescue senior dog Connor loves the place and is happy during his time there. Excellent extended stay kennel, and they are NOT in cages, and are socialized. The owner is a pro with animal behavior, so ur fur baby is safe there. Kodo my miniature Schnauzer is a difficult groom, yet they work with him and understand he is a HUGE mama baby.

We have been lucky enough to experience several of the services at Delaware Pet Stuff. I can't say enough about how great they are.The employees are very skilled with boarding and doggie daycare. Our family has one dog who participates in doggie daycare , she’s young, she needs it and loves it, lots of enrichment! Two of our dogs are seniors and when they have been boarded, the accommodations have been spectacular. My dogs love it there.Paige is our groomer, we adore her personally, and professionally. The dogs always look and smell so good when they come home. One of my dogs slipped his leash, my fault, not theirs , before I was walking in,! Cricket, who is awesome by the way, is the manager. She helped me look for him, and we found him. That was above and beyond.Sherri and Val taught a Basic Manners Class this past Fall. My daughter Dani and her dog Luka, participated. Luka learned so much. Dani is on the autism spectrum and was welcomed with open arms. The class was excellent!Sherri is also the owner of this business. She treats each animal with dignity, kindness and love. She puts her heart and soul into her business, she is good with her people customers too. She treats them as family, is the consummate professional and one of the best humans I have ever known! We are so grateful for Delaware Pet Stuff.

I adjusted my review because of my recent visits... first time was okay better than now...my dog now acts fearful to go in the doors as if something happened. She's never done that before.I took both my dogs this time for a day visit and got groomed and both of them came back smelling as if they didnt get a bath and just sprayed down. Not only that but my husky was shedding just as bad as she was before. If she got a desheading bath and brush she wouldn't be having the clumps come out still or as fluffy. Our bull dog still smelled and didn't look or smell any different. I don't know if they were busy and thought they could just water them down a bit but definitely did not get a bath, paid for it but not impressed. We WILL NOT be going back

My dogs absolutely LOVE Delaware Pet Stuff! My Yorkie rescue was *terrified* when we first arrived, but she loved playing there with all the other small dogs! My two big dogs absolutely adore this place. They get almost more excited to come to Delaware Pet Stuff than the park!

Unfortunately, our poor pupper was diagnosed with a strand of kennel cough as a result of visiting this facility. We weren't upset that he got sick because let's face it, it happens. Our dog was not the only dog to be diagnosed within a very short time frame. We are aware of at least one other dog who visited the week prior and was also diagnosed with a strand of kennel cough. That dog and my dog have never made contact. Nor have they made contact with other dogs outside the facility. We believe that this is a prime example of poor biosecurity practices. We feel that the owner was very unprofessional in handling the situation. She was incredibly defensive when returning our call.We will not be returning to this place of business nor will we recommend it.
