I'm a big fan of the products and selection at Kroger, but unfortunately, the checkout experience is a different story. While I appreciate the efficiency of the self-checkout machines, the constant prompts to 'place item in bag' and the finicky scanners drive me crazy! It's frustrating to deal with the machine's errors, today my items were counted. I wish they would improve this process. Despite this, I'll continue shopping at Kroger for their great products, but I'll be bracing myself for the checkout struggle each time

Stopped here while in the area to use their bathroom. A very kind gentleman named Chris showed us where bathroom was and gave us a nice little tour. He would be fun to work with, he's a good guy 🤛🏻 We also ended up getting some muffins while here.

the people are friendly. but corporate greed needs to stop along with there union greed. $3 for a 2 litre of mt.dew can be had for $1.78 at Walmart. you lost my business for good

I googled shrimp tempura in Toledo and I get a sponsored ad for shrimp tempura in defiance. Defiance. Why the hell would you pay to sponsor an ad for someone it Toledo to come to defiance for shrimp tempura? When I went to my local Kroger they didn’t have it in stock. So a big F U to Kroger for their stupid shotgun ad spending and now I’d rather pay more at another store at least in know they suck before I get there.

Update- decided to run in here just for one or two items quickly. What a disappointment. It has gone even more downhill. Seems to be a new manager there also during the day that could benefit from some additional training in people skills, just my opinion.The biggest issue with this store, is they almost always only have one actual checkout with a cashier, forcing many shoppers to use self checkout, which I’m not fond of, therefore I’ve switched to Meijer where they always have at least 4 checkouts with real cashiers. I have a small child & when I’m shopping I can’t be scanning & bagging my own groceries & trying to keep my baby still at the same time. Also, it’s a very small store that seems to often be out of the products I buy regularly. They are currently making updates, but it doesn’t fix the above issues at all. Kroger is much closer to home for me, if they could expand, keep products stocked, and keep at least 4 real cashiers open, I would prefer shopping here, but until then I’ve become a loyal Meijer shopper, using my m-perks! I will say the staff for the most part are always friendly & helpful at Kroger. They definitely have some lazy workers too tho. Their clientele has definitely went downhill….

Small! Headquarters needs to make an investment in this store and turn it into a Marketplace to remain viable. There are only 4 grocery style stores in town - 2 run by big companies and Kroger is one of them and doesn't match the "W" store in size and product availability. Turning this into a Marketplace would push the other 3 to do better and the community would greatly benefit from it.

The produce section sucks..it's not very big and Kroger commercial is a lie about their caring about it. If you want better produce go elsewhere. I've never gotten a soft mushy watermelon until today. For 5.99 I had to throw it away. It was disgusting...The rest of the store is ok and stocked well.

The staff here are amazing. Always friendly an helpful. I had to use self check out tonight because it was the only one open. (It was after 11:30 pm) The one who was running it was pretty awesome. I had 2 carts full and she constantly helped me with a smile on her face. Thank you.

It's alright. Kroger has good prices. Nice selection. My only complains are: they could do a better job with pickups. Like, once they substituted some items that weren't that similar and they forgot some things. Also, every time I shop there I keep hoping to see the big no bake cookies in the bakery. The Kroger where I'm from always had the big no bake cookies. Y'all just have these little bite sized things that are like $3 a container. I'd have to buy like six of those. Get some big no bakes.

Great place to shop for sale items. Pharmacy is a bit slow when it comes to the walk up window or drive up. Often need to remind them to look at their faxed in RX orders, or call first to have your prescription ready when you get there. All in all good place to shop.

I Love going Krogering, sure do miss having it right around the corner I have to drive about 30 minutes to get to the closest one 😱🤔🤗 but when they have their Mega sales and I can get $0.60 off in gas I must take that trip like I did this morning after work... time to get some shut-eye so I don't waste the rest of my Saturday😴🙃

Came here today none of my digitalis came off. They refused to help me in store and made me call have been on phone for 3 hours and they are confused why they didn’t just help in store. Won’t be shopping here anymore didn’t give me a refund just wasted my time i was supposed to have over 100$ in coupons taken off. Thanks for being lazy?

Made a special trip after ball game because a told me about a specific WOOHOO DEAL. An employee offered assistance, but didn't direct me to the special. He was unaware of the special clearance item, which took up a big area/display. If it weren't for my friend being there with me, I would have left the empty- handed. He was nice and polite, but ineffective.

I normally go there late at night so I only ever see the stock people. They're pretty chill. They dont carry jumbo shell noodles tho. So 4 instead of 5 stars lmao

I typically shop here because it's close to my house, staff is fantastic most of the time but the store itself isn't great. It is in need of an update, and if you plan on using any shopping apps forget about it, it is a dead zone even most of the parking lot!!

I will only pay with cash!. I used the self-checkout register and my card was charged twice which overdrew my account. What made it a nightmare, was Kroger kept running it through my bank over & over (4 or 5 times) which made an overdraft fee of well over $160! When I called them about stopping this (after the second time & to fix the double charge) and to put the amount of the double charge + overdraft fees ($70) back into my account, they said that there was nothing that they could do about it and it "had to run it's course."I only shop there when I can't find it anywhere else; which is rare.

Been shopping here 17 years for some reasons.they think its your job to self check out.this is difficult with several shopping carts. They think i work hear . need to atleast keep regular check out open .im sick of this. Mite as well drive across town to get survice.

Bout 2 weeks ago my car was once again hit by a cart boy pushing carts between my car and another. Scuff marks down driver side. Made report on it and cart boy even admitted to it. Now im getting no return calls on incident about how they want to handle it once again. Yes last year bout same time had passenger side get bit by another cart boy while i was sitting in my car. Think they need to put into action better training or policy of no carts being pushed between cars. Tired of their employees hitting my car.

Not a bad store. But absolutely HORRIBLE on keeping things stocked. To top that off, when you ask employees if they are out of an item or whatnot, some seem to have an attitude for asking.

Kroger app is junk after last update in fact the best way would simply be to lower their prices. Pricing has become very expressive at Kroger diet Coke case $9.00 Please. Then salad section we by Roman lettuce as well tried their lettuce with spinach, Romain, spring I believe it was called. It was horrible to be kind. Do not like WW but there's is really good and about $1.50 less with longer exp date.We found often their romaine lettuce in backs are as well costly good if fortunate 2-3 days no way, it should be 19-14 days.We found Meijer has better sales use a very way of simply using perks then it adds up you can use what you collect. We used last visit $14.00 with as well coupons they sent $7.00, $21.00 is a good savings.Kroger's is close to use people are for most part kind but if after 4 most time not able to get someone from that department.Update Krogers has not updated the store from the day it opened. Their freezers for frozen items really do not work well at all. Then stocker's leaving frozen items in the lanes to unfree, food, ice cream then try to refreeze putting in those so called freezers. Krogers needs a Hugh change, they have had so many mangers which should not happen. New employees are the floor are kind well as new they are but time will tell.Checked Diet coke today in sale 3/13 for $14.00Went across the street to Dollar General 3 for $9.00 now hum. Krogers really needs to adjust their pricing and this well this store is from IN not Toledo so what. It is Krogers correct.There is alot of work to be done at Krogers most store in this town are all updating their stores. Meijer's has twice in a year Kroger Corporate better catch up before others blow them out.

Produce, as a senior to be able to buy 3 stalks of celery, or small quanities,for a single person. Thru out store,bakery to buy 1or 3 bread rolls.money saving on a very limited budget. It's the best.too bad more stores don't take this into consideration for all single shoppers.
