Ron and Sharon are the best. This business provide wonderful care and attention to their guests and make their people confident in their choice of boarding with them. Their prices are very reasonable and the attendant who greets you and brings out your loved one is always kind and patient. There is a nice fenced yard for your pet to run. We take both of our dogs here when we are away.

I have been using KK for six years and can’t believe I’ve been remiss in writing a review! When I first moved to Defiance, I had to live in a non-pet situation until I closed on my house. My dog had to stay at KK for nearly two months and they took such good care of here. They also allowed me to visit and play with her whenever I wanted. The owners and their staff are the friendliest, most pet-loving people I have ever met. My dog LOVES it here. We call it ‘puppy summer camp’ and when we tell her we’re going, she gets so excited. She has the routine down now and runs straight inside and straight to the kennels in the back. She is always happy and exhausted when I pick her up - the telltale sign of an excellent kennel. I can’t even begin to list the way in which they’ve gone above and beyond for my dog and how much they love on her. I am not a fan of kennels where dogs are allowed to run around together - it’s not safe for them physically or in terms of their health - but I know it can seem weird to leave your dog in a solitary kennel for a stretch of time. I never, ever worry about her here. They’re not even annoyed when I call to check in on her when I’m on extended trips. I recently moved to Toledo and after too many horrid experiences with kennels up here, I drive the 1 hour to Defiance for KK every time I need a kennel for my dog. You will not find a better temporary home your your pets. Remember! It takes more than one or two visits for your pet to acclimate to a new kennel and new people, so don’t give up on this kennel, or any other, after a first visit. It’s common for animals to be stressed in new situations, especially away from their humans. KK is the best, best place you can take them.

Our German Shepard has never been so comfortable with other people! He loved these guys! he did wonderful and came home clean and happy and healthy after a long weekend, will be back and worth 35 minute drive, great prices!

We used to board our pup elsewhere but when we got him back he would forget his house training because they didnt walk them. Kountry Kennel takes excellent care of him and walk the dogs a few times a day to allow them to do business outside instead of in the kennel. They feed him food we supply and we bring toys for him so he feels more at home. Our pup recognizes and likes the staff here which is always a good sign.

My dogs have never been boarded before, my husband had a major surgery in Ann Arbor Michigan, I did not have any one to stay with my dogs, called Kountry Kennel, they had openings, let me use 1 kennel to save $. They did great, when I picked them up they seemed happy, thank you for taking good care of my pupoies so I didn't have to worry.

I take my dogs there for doggy daycare daily and they absolutely love it. They have friendly staff and I get piece of mind that my dogs are well cared for while I am at work or while my wife and I are traveling. Highly recommend.
