Before versus after of my poor Romeo. Romeo is a soft coated wheaten terrier, he’s a curly boy. I try my best to groom him but I am no professional. I booked an appointment for 8 am this morning. I was turned down from service previous due to matting. I took my time over the course of two weeks to hand cut out mats and comb him. I immediately upon entering Jennifer felt Romeo for mats and stated that he had some on his legs and ears that needed to be trimmed I said okay I understand. I received a phone call thirty minutes later, I was told that he couldn’t be groomed due to the mats. I heard him barking in the background, I said okay. I came to get him and asked if they were able to trim his nails, she said no because of the mats. She goes to get him and he’s partially shaven and it’s a complete hack job. She didn’t mention on the phone that she had attempted to shave him! I told her that this was unacceptable and asked how we would fix problem she said that he needs to go to a vet to have his ears and paws trimmed and she wouldn’t do anything else to him. I asked for a manager, Leah came. She was very sweet and understanding but she didn’t manage the grooming side she asked why they couldn’t at least finish his body, Shannon, another groomer then said it was because of his behavior and he wouldn’t keep his head still. Romeo is very friendly, no dog or human will completely keep their head still. I was told that the manager Kevin would be in at 10:30 and I would wait for him, I said I would be prefer a phone call. After waiting almost 3 hours I called to check on the situation. I explained this to Kevin, he expressed no empathy for us, even after I told him how I was misled and offered no apology. He said I stand by my groomers and there is no need for me to see him. I asked what his manager name was, he said her name is Jess but she’s going or stand by me. I am so taken aback by the lack of action and care. Buyer Beware!!!

The fish are too young to sell safely, and way overpriced for fish that aren't really ready to be sold. Their Albino Cory Catfish are listed on the website for 4.49 each. They tried to charge me 12.99 each! I'm going to try to find a tropical fish store where people know what they're doing. What a joke.

I've been coming here a long time and tonight they lost my business and a good sale.I went in to purchase dog food, a fish tank and some new fish. I have been breeding fish for over 10 years. The woman getting the fish out for me thought it was a good idea to catch an attitude and tell me what I can and cannot do in regards to fish. She said I wasn't allowed to get my fish tonight because I had to wait 48 hours to cycle my new 5 gallon tank. Little did she know, I already have a cycled tank at home with perfect parameters. She didn't even ask if I already had fish, she just assumed I was an idiot trying to put new fish in an uncycled tank. I know what I'm doing... So thank you, for allowing me to take my business somewhere that won't tell me what I already know.

Went in to restock our tank, but fish were sickly and very small and they charge a fortune for them. With as often as the fish die that we get here, there's no way we're taking the risk. Done with petsmart if we can manage. Everything is so overpriced.

Terrible service. Went in to get a fish for my 4 year old. This associate (with a cheek piercing for ID purposes). Scoffed at us because we didn’t have a fully prepped aquarium at home already. Told me that “time have changed” and I can’t just buy a goldfish and put it in a bowl. Offered no assistance or direction and just moved onto the next person leaving my 4 year very upset. It shouldn’t be this hard to buy a $5 fish….

We’ve had our 1-year old husky mix in for grooming a few times with no issues, but last weekend we took him in and opted for the extra de-shedding ferminator package because he’s been shedding a lot. We were told he did great but after a couple days we noticed he was pretty miserable and developed sores all over his back. He was in A LOT of pain. Our vet put him on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds and explained that he had tons of cuts on his skin from the deshedding tool. They are now scabbing over and he’s super itchy. There are hundreds or more of them! I called the grooming manager Kevin and he was kind and appreciative of the call. He said he’d give us free grooming in the future which won’t be necessary because we will not be coming back. I just wanted to make sure nobody else has this happen in the future!

Always a great selection of 'strong chewers' toys. This is a JW Hol-ee Giggler. The sound it makes is hilarious and they(2) have lasted in tact longer than any other toy in 3.5 years. Also, I have never posted a review of a dog toy...it's that good.

First time cat owners here, and can I say, the cashier was EXCEPTIONAL. We have a cat with dietary issues therefore she has to be on Purina Pro Plan Veterinary diet, EN Gastroenteric food. We got to the cash stand, and this young man in a red shirt around 6:30-6:40 told us we needed a prescription for our cat. We just got her Sunday, and they only gave us a supply enough for 6 days. He must’ve seen the panic in me and my significant others eyes because he GAVE us the food we needed without the prescription, obviously later on, we have to send over the prescription whenever we can to the store but thank you so much. This cat means the world to us.

The quality of this tank, the ornaments, lighting, and filter system has been a great improvement to the guppies that now reside in there new home. The staff were very knowledgeable and polite in both a professional and friendly manner. Thank you for doing such a great job and being patient while I decided which one I wanted to buy. Plus, the prices are outstandingly lower than most.

The employees are always so nice and helpful. The store carries almost any pet supplies you could want. I really like the grooming at this location - they do a nice job, friendly, and my high anxiety dog comes home less stressed than when going to other groomers.

I was waiting in line to check out and when it was my turn the cashier told me to wait so she can do a return for somebody that was in line after me , mind you I only had a couple items , so I had to proceed to wait for an open line. Super unprofessional

Generally a very clean store which is why I enjoy going here. They have just about everything you need for your pets with exceptions...like for my hedgehog they don't have much of a selection for. I go here for crickets and other snacks for my gecko however I went Friday and Saturday morning over half the crickets had died which sucks because my gecko will not eat anything dead or freeze dried...can't trick him either. Idk if they got a batch of sick crickets but that scares me to feed them to my gecko as I don't want him to get sick from sick/diseased crickets. Other than that I've never had any concerns or problems at this store although it can be a bit pricier than some other pet stores I've been to. Good store overall.

Went here Christmas eve great service went back the day after Christmas horrible service. I went for fish they died so had to go back. It was 3 women talking by fish tanks no one acknowledged us and when I went to ask for help. They stood there another 5 mins talking so I approached them again looking for some sort of service. One asked the others like "what does she want". Won't be returning.

This is my favorite PetSmart! The store is always clean and orderly. The staff are always so helpful and nice! Everything is easy to find and if there's something I feel may be a bit pricey for me I can always find something similar to what I want on sale or clearance. Huge selection of leashes, harnesses and collars. Large selection of treats and bones too. They have everything you need here and more! Love it! (Cute dogs to see walking in and out too! ;)

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. I am irate with the grooming salon at the dayton mall pet smart. This is my dog after his appointment. I said she could shave his hind area and his belly but leave the rest long just wash and brush and this is what happened. This is a disgrace and unacceptable. THIS IS A SHELTIE!!! YOU DONT SHAVE SHELTIES!!! They have a double coat and that double coat is what protects the dog from heat, cold, and moisture. There's a good chance that his coat may not grow back and if it does it will not be the same texture that it was. To sum it all up my dogs fur is most likely ruined for good because some girl with blue hair who thinks she knows how to groom wanted to argue with me and do the opposite of what I said to do. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EVER GO TO PET SMART TO GET YOUR PET GROOMED. I am happy to say however that the cashier who assisted in cashing me out and then immediately refunding me was more knowledgeable about how to groom a Sheltie than the girl that actually works in grooming. She also took the receipts and is letting the store manager know I will be speaking with them soon but this is beyond unacceptable. This is a before and after look.

Our female fur kid she has a grain allergy and a sensitive stomach. We had her initially on Hills Science Diet Sensitive Stomach which is fine but she is just over eating anything fishy and or seafood related. She and our other fur kid now love Purina Pro Plan Grain Free. They especially love the Chicken and Spinach Entree.We have noticed the wet food as it describes makes them fuller faster. I think that is good then it means they aren't eating processed, manufactured by products that isn't giving them the right fats and nutrients they need to stay active.We have noticed since giving our female cat wet food her coat and mood has changed. She is back to her playful self since switching to Purina Pro Plan. Purina also offers in dry food Purina Pro Plan Complete Essentials Grain Free and the flavor is chicken and egg.This is to supplement as a 1/4 cup snack in between their breakfast and dinner. Petsmart when we went had a good supply of this brand and will be definitely come back for more at this location. The store is always clean too even when a fur kid has to use the restroom or gets sick. Cashier's are always nice and the store always is stocked well.
