The store looks wonderful and has a wide variety of stuff for pets. I was impressed with the reptile section for such a small store. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience picking up an order and the corresponding interactions with staff. I hate to put negativity out there, but just pretending to care for 2 minutes while we interact isn't outlandish to me.Edit 2I've visited again and had a much better experience. Staffing seemed more appropriate and all the interactions I had were friendly and helpful. I'm leaving my previous review up for transparency.

I’m not a pet person or owner was shopping for a customer. Took a while to find what I was looking for and staff didn’t even try to see if I needed help. I eventually went up to one and asked. Nice size store

We came in to bring a Betta fish home with a simple tank. Two hours later we had a male and female in a large tank (we divided them to keep them seperate). The young man who helped us and answer a lot of questions was very helpful and fun to work with. I would give him more than 5 stars if I could!! Over $200 later we have an amazing Betta setup and most importantly two very happy, beautiful fish!

Went in for a dog shedding rake / comb. This store is always nice & well kept. The layout is sensible and enjoyable to browse. Ultimately I found what I came in for. Staff was friendly and efficient at check out.

I just had my pup groomed for the first time by the wonderful Marie. They took such good care of my little pup and took the time to socialize him to everything and made sure he was comfortable. He came out calm, clean and soft as ever. Highly recommend

Very negative grooming experience. Took our two-year-old cavapoo to this location to be groomed. Normally we have a relative with a mobile grooming service groom our dog, but with the busyness of the season we booked at petco. When checking in, the employee was not friendly at all when asking about his vaccine record, medical history, haircut needs, etc. She did not make me feel comfortable or welcome to leave my pet. I should’ve left with my dog, but since he desperately needed a cut, I kept the appointment. My fault. I told her over & over that he has severe anxiety & doesn’t like the blow dryer or loud noises. Instead of just letting me know it probably wouldn’t work (as they seem to have a lot of stipulations she mentioned), she said if he can’t handle it, they’ll send him home. And they did after charging me $45 for just a bath. Nothing else. I should’ve listened to my instincts & taken him to another groomer who was more understanding & willing to work with dogs with grooming anxiety. I know our dog is anxious, but do they only know how to handle dogs who love grooming!? If you’re in this field, make the pet owner feel like their pet is in good hands! And treat the pet owner with kindness! I do not recommend this location for grooming! Unprofessional & not welcoming.

The best general purpose petstore I've been too. Massive aquatics section with actual equipment. Even filter floss. Dog and cat section have quality foods you can't always find at Walmart or similar stores. Clean store, nice employees, large selections, good lighting, and well kept animals. Not much more to say. Below is a picture of a tank I purchased for a rescue and said rescue as I'm not exactly sure what to put here lol.

Had a grooming appointment that took more than a month to get, brought my dog there only to be told that what I had VERY specifically requested would not be honored. When I made the appointment I told the person( who was the same person that told me she wouldn’t honor it at the desk as I’m standing there with my dog) that I had to pick up my dog by 3:00, as I had to be at work by 4:00. I was told absolutely no problem. The day of, when I’m there, she said no way my dog could be be picked up before 5:00. I won’t be back.

dubs pet store literally let you play with the cats and they got good prices too. i got 2 of my cats from this place and their cool. Also you can see dog get trimmed that’s pretty interesting. They got fish too a lot of fish and some hamsters i think and like 2 turtles but this is all from memory so they definitely got more. this picture was taken outside of petco on 8/23/23

We came into Petco to buy a budgie. My wife saw videos claiming Petco treated their parakeets better than other retail chains, so we headed up to the Town and Country location. The first difference was the setup. In other retail chains, they basically have a table with a two or three-inch high hard plastic or plexiglass lining around the table. The birds are exposed so people can try to handle them while at the store. At Petco, they are completely behind plexiglass. No open air at all. It would make sense if their wings weren't clipped, but they were.Once we made our selection, the employee grabbed a box and a net. Why a net? Those can break highly fragile wings! She stuck it in the habitat, and with a flick of the wrist, she had the grey budgie trapped and struggling in her net. With it trapped, she lowered it into the box, flipped the net, mostly closed the top of the box, and rather quickly dumped the bird in and slid the net out. The girl may have thought that she looked very professional with how quickly and easily she was able to retrieve the bird, but she was rather reckless. At other chains, they just grab the bird, put it in the box and are done with it.As she was securing the box top, the employee told us that the budgie was eating the food "in the yellow bag" (probably their "premium" blend) and that they are given fruit and veggies 3 times per week. I'm assuming it's just thrown into the habitat, because those birds haven't seen a human hand in their life. I'm sure the breeders dump them in, then they're retrieved with a net. Just terrible. After day one, we finally got our new budgie calmed down, off the side of the cage 100% of the time, she's starting to sing, she's starting to preen and eat in our presence. She's also starting to learn the "step-up" command. She's showing progress, but we still have a long way to hand tame her.I don't know if all Petco stores are so uncaring, but this one is... just... wow!

My overall experience was positive as the cashier and manager were great, but there was a problematic employee who treated my 12-year-old son and me poorly. My son, usually respectful, was traumatized by her rude response when he sought help. Even though she assisted others kindly, she refused to help us, making me cry due to her demeanor and expressions mirroring my son's words.

It was a decent store. The reason I say decent 1st is because all the animals are in TINY cages. I adopted 2 baby guinea pigs from here. They were skinny. Also they said they were male but when I checked they seem to be female.

What a fantastic, knowledgeable crew!! We just moved here from Florida and we had a little Anole Lizard egg hatch from one of my plants. We knew the cold will kill him. So we took him to Petco to learn how to take care of him. They have been AMAZING in helping us to learn what the little guy needed to survive. Thank you guys so much! They always have a great selection of budgies to choose from and they sometimes have some very cute cats on display!
