This was my first time coming to Gem City Market and I was highly impressed with the level of Customer service, the friendly atmosphere, the cleanliness of the store and the layout. They offer cooking classes and you can also rent their kitchen. This Co-op Market is going places. If you haven't been it's a must and might just be your new Grocery store. If you go by you have to check out their Deli, the food is amazing 😍

It's finally here!Perfect location on a major street. I noticed many people walking to the store (this is important).The store is set up in a way where you can find what you need. There is a cafe there (Third Perk Coffee). The store is well lit and colorful. You cannot miss it off of Salem.The staff is extremely helpful and the prices are affordable. There is a community room with free story books for children. The community kitchen is awesome. Their community room has several classes for the community room. There is also a health clinic that offers a variety of service.I can go on and on about how amazing this place is.And yes, you will find me there at least 5 days a week!

Clean Restroom! Market made Brownies with Nuts!!! I saw a homeless woman as I crossed the bridge to go South on 75. I said I have 4 brownies here. I'm keeping one and would you like the rest. She smiled grabbed them and said I've had these before, you made my day. I nibbled mine on the way home.....brownie-licious.

This small market has loads of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and even prepared foods. I had the roasted chicken and a side of mixed roasted vegetables. Let me tell you, the chicken is so flavorful and delicious and it was made in house. Definitely not your typical grocery store prepared hot food. Support local because this is a grocery store that is located in a desert food area. Go shopping and stay in for lunch an excellent cup of coffee and lunch. The market has a coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. A once a week shopping return at Gem City is a must.

I always love walking into my grocery store. The love is overwhelmingly beautiful. It feels like home. The staff are warm and friendly. The shelves are stocked. The store is clean. I just enjoy putting money back into my community by shopping local. The prices are a little higher than the other places, but you will not receive the service like you will at Gem City Market! For us by us!

The Gem City Market is always clean, the customer service is exceptional and the already prepared food at the deli is delicious!! The food keeps getting better and better. Thank you to the chef!!My favorite snack is popcorn. Brandon the cashier went the extra mile and popped me my own bag of fresh popcorn. Thank you Brandon and staff (Brandon is the guy in the blue cap in the back🧢)!!

The pride of Dayton, this is so much more than the coolest grocery store in town. Community organized and focused, they provide fresh food, educational cooking classes and a health clinic. I love the energy and hope they bring to a former food desert on the west side.

Interesting little place. Clean with not a wide variety of things but definitely a little of everything. You'll just have to try it too see if it's for you. We're from out of town so it's unlikely we'll visit again but I could see us adopting here from time to time if lived close.

This market is clean, the staff is friendly and you can find most of the items you buy at the big retailers. It's convenient for me, because it's right across the street. They also have a great deli which also serves hot food. They are worth the trip.

I enjoy shopping here! It's close to my home and they have some of my favorites that I can't find anywhere else like Lions Mane mushrooms! Customer service is another plus, Moose is the best employee I've encountered there so far! He's always smiling, polite, and helpful everytime! 😊

A community and worker owned co-op grocery store. All are welcome to shop there. Many local vendor products and produce. Loads of organic products.Recently added the 'produce perks' program for those receiving snap benefits and p-ebt benefits.

The store is full of fresh food, bright colors, and friendly people. 💛 Today I stopped for a latte at Third Perk on the way out and watched my 5 yr old play hopscotch before heading home. It was really the best experience

Purchased pork loin there today. Got it home and it was spoiled. It had a tag over another tag. The tip tag said expired Dec 14. The tag under it said expired 11/26. I took it back and they did refund me. Sad part was there were other expired meats in the case.

Great selection of staples and I'm impressed by the selection of specialty items. Interesting vegetarian options, cool mushrooms, and other international products that I wasn't expecting.Very interesting meat selection too! Pig feet and ox tail make incredible soup broth, and I typically can't find them anywhere else.GCM has replaced Kroger for me for 90% of my shopping.

Great location, good customer service from all the employees, especially from the guy that cooks and service hot foods. Very clean and well organized store. Nice coffee shop. Great quality foods but a bit over priced for the more healthier options I've noticed. The hot food is delicious.

The store was clean and the employees were helpful. Not what I expected lots of specialty items. But not a variety of basic stuff. Needed cough drops they didn't have any. It was nice but frustrating I couldn't find items or they were out of stock. I'll probably just go to Kroger next time.

An incredible addition to our community! Affordable food in the grocery store, kitchen classes, and third park coffee shop up front. The grocery store is clean and well organized, very convenient to the highway, and staff were extremely friendly! I will most definitely be back. My only complaint is the parking lot, really tight and someone almost hit me as I backed out, but I understand they had to utilize a small space to the max. Just be cautious when parking and you'll love this great addition to our community!

So thankful for this little "gem" for groceries! We're new to the area and have tried several local grocery markets and have found this place to be reasonably priced with good meats and produce. They have a limited amount of items, but everything you need. Great staff as well!
