Went in today after the first open because of remodeling and it’s worse the. Before the people working Tea to be exact was very rude and not welcoming and very disrespectful to my boys because they had their hoods up and it was freezing and we just walked in the store !!!! Wasn’t greeted or spoke to when checking out rolled her eyes and was very rude im not sure where the other workers went but they was way more friendly and welcoming when coming I’m not busy hearing abo it personal issues her and the man working was having

Drove off the highway to stop and get some snacks. Google says the store is open until 9pm. Apparently the shorter worker with short hair decides to just randomly close the store whenever she sees fit. I can empathize with having to work multiple jobs and do close-open, but the store shouldn't close 15 minutes early.

I just left this store. The store is the store🤷🏿‍♀, lol..but made my day was the service. I was checked out by an employer named Paige. This woman is actually THE NICEST AND MOST PROFESSIONAL DOLLAR GENERAL WORKER I've EVER encountered. Just pleasant and professional. Thanks for your service today Amber. I hope more people are encouraged to review your help and professional...management material for sure!

I've not once encountered a rude employee at this location. As a matter of fact, the staff I've spoken with are very friendly. And not that fake or 'forced' friendly demeanor either. I should also mention that their shelves are always stocked (which I find to be important), unlike a lot of stores around here. It's my go·to when I'm in the area. Without a doubt.

I didn't feel comfortable at this location at all. The cashier did not have on anything remotely resembling a uniform. He had on a faded black tee shirt that had holes in it near his stomach area he looked unclean. And I just felt an overall sense of needing to hurry up make a purchase and leave. I don't like this location at all.

I go to this location often bc it’s the only place within walking distance. If you go on a Sunday, or Monday you’ll likely find what you’re looking for. Any other day of the week, you’ll find yourself SOL. They almost never have items in stock. They rearrange the store regularly... literally they move the item locations monthly. The store has no organization whatsoever. It’s common to find an aisle that has half of the household cleaning products, and then find the other half of their selection in a totally different aisle. All of their name brand laundry products are kept behind the counter because of thieves but there’s no display for them either so you can’t actually see those products at all. I rarely find items with correct prices. They have default type price tags on the shelves but they rarely match the product you’re buying. I’m usually shocked when I see an item that has a label marking their advertisements sales for the week. Clearance products are thrown about the store and never have prices. If you ask someone a price, they will look at the product and tell you “it’s $___” based on what the printed price says on the packaging instead of actually scanning it. Because apparently they think sales prices update themselves on the products packaging.Several of their aisles are always blocked with those big rollers packed with items they haven’t restocked yet. But they stay blocked.all week long. I can’t recall a time in the last several years that the aisles were clear. This store is an accessibility and osha nightmare.I wouldn’t recommend going unless you depend on them for survival.

I used to go to this store all the time on Troy Pike,but within the last say 2-3 this store has gone to the dogs.The store is nasty, new staff come and go, item selection is poor and things out of order. There was a very nice middle age Caucasian man working there....very nice/ polite and always had a smile....well he's at the store on 201 Brandt pike.....Love that store! Manager is super nice! 5 stars!

This is the dirtiest Dollar General I've ever been to. I saw a mouse running in the front of the store. On more than one occasion saw an employee mop the floor with black mop water and the floor obviously remained filthy. Would be nice if they could close for a day or two to do a deep cleaning. Most of the time multiple boxes are crowding the aisles and it makes it difficult to browse with a shopping cart, stroller, or for individuals that need to lean on the cart with mobility issues.

Of course we all know they have good deals. Rember you get what you pay for. But this place is a mess . The staff is ok they have some staff that must be doing the job of others. This store is clean up frount but they havd things sitting all over the place i bought outdated food here and i wasnt happy when i had to fight with the cashier to trade in my item. She for some reason was sure that i had made a mistake and i hadnt which was proven threw the manger. Also there is no way a handicap person can get threw certain areas i would nicely ask them to come and give assistance to a few ladys that there was no way they could reach items that they were looking at. Finally i just helped them myself. People bekind to people if you work in a store like this people of age slso shop here alot these men and women ate paying you salary

It's kind of hard to mess up on a dollar store, butsure enough they have found a way.... Everything is cluttered about the isles constantly. It's as if somebody just went in there and started putting stuff wherever and didn't even bother taking half the stuff off of the carts. As far as the staff you'd have better luck getting directions from a bli d man or asking a deaf person if they heard that

This store is the worst Dollar General I have ever been to. It's almost Christmas and all of their Christmas items are still in boxes sitting on the floor in the isle making it impossible to walk through let alone push a cart through. Every time I go into this store their are new employees working whom are angry and standing around talking instead of upacking the 90% of their inventory that is still in boxes. The place is dirty and unorganized. Having things basically just thrown on shelves in no order. I hate this store and wish there were a different one close to me so I could go to that one instead. This store needs MAJOR HELP!!!!!!

This store ALWAYS closed too early but has staff and people in the store yet they LOCK THE DOORS EARLY it says they don’t close until 9 but they start locking the doors at 6 also they lack stocking their shelves it will look like the store is going out of business before they stock anything things are just thrown EVERYWHERE I’ve been disappointed and dissatisfied with their service for years

They never have what you're looking for , cashier's talk unnecessarily with customers who may be their friends or relatives thus holding up the lines , thus holding up other customers that may have somewhere to be or something better to do than stand in line an extra 10 or 15 minutes

Well I'll start by saying prices are very inexpensive and the staff are very helpful and products are fresh every day I'm also happy to say that my every visit is as great as the one before I'm very very thankful for the Dollar General here on north main and Fairview they exceed there expectations so I give them a 100 % rating. Thank you Dollar General.

This store didn't have what originally came in for but found deals on hand soap and dish soap. So, when it came to deciding whether to get the soda which was in my opinion over priced but bought anyway. Found better deal on the same sodas at another dollar store.

This particular Dollar General on Fairview and Main St. needs too be CLOSED down. It's THE WORST I've EVER been in. ALWAYS DIRTY, STOCK IN EVERY AISLE AND SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Instead of putting away the stock on shelves or opening up a second register the other employees are just walking around the store doing NOTHING PRODUCTIVE! NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT OR CLOSE THE DOORS. PARKING LOT IS DIRTY AND AN EYE SORE FROM THE STREET. HAVE PEOPLE BEGGING CUSTOMERS FOR MONEY AS YOU ENTER THE BUILDING.

The employees at this store are rude inconsiderate and have no knowledge of the products, product location, or simple policies! This store is trashed every time I go in there!

Terrible customer service, place is a wreck, I bought a bag of cat food today that was 10-12lb Frisky Seafoad Sensation an it had flying bugs inside it along with mildew. Mostly I just buy pop from this store as Pepsi comes an delivers it an make sure it's up to date. The place is very under staffed,I've ask them before to grab some cereal from the back an the lady wouldn't do it. So basically this store is worthless unless it's convenient but beware. SO I JUST NOTICED THAT SOME VITAMINS I GOT AN SLEEPING PILLS ARE A YR OLD FOR EXPIRED NO WONDER OTHER STORES WORK BETTER.. CHECK ALL DATES ON ITEMS YOU BUY FIRST!!? I WILL BE CALLING HEAD QUARTERS THIS IS RIDICULOUS.. I DONT BELIVE I SHOULD PAY FOR OUTDATED ITEMS..

Bought a ball there for my nephew, when I got home I realized they had not bagged it. Went back to get it, even with receipt said they could not give it to me. Very rude workers except one. And the store is always closed.. UPDATE YOUR HOURS!

The way I was treated as a veteran was horrible. The cashier refused to honor my state issued veteran ID card. I found myself arguing the validity of my ID.I think more training and an apology is in order .

Just left this store at 7:50pm. Employee was turning people away at the door saying they're closing early. Hours when googled state 9 pm. Why is this store still open. Customer service is piss poor at best.

I got there about 7:40 p.m to grab some furniture polish, but they were already closed. I just wish that if your open until a certain time, you stay open until that time.. It just gets so frustrating...

The ONLY reason I am giving them one star is because you can't give zero stars. Service sucks, there is a new crew every time you go there. I have seen outdated food on the shelves more than a few times. Make this your last resort.

On a rare occasion are the shelves stocked. And always a mess towards the back of the store with spare boxes and trolls always scattered. And in addition only 3 carts for the whole store.
