This place is disgusting. The store is filthy and shelves are empty. Aisles are cluttered with carts and boxes. The staff aren't in uniform so you can't even tell they work there. They have 2 self check outs, but one has a paper taped over it and the "staff" ring you up there?? Won't be returning.

First is your parking lot is always trashed ! I walked in after the so called remodel to the dirtiest store with boxes , trash and filthy floors . A cashier was eating chips when I walked in . I looked around and found what I needed real quick . I asked another associate if this was the remodel ? He said yes ! I told the store was completely filthy . He said nothing . When I went to the front another associate cashed me out . I told her it was filthy , her response was " Oh someone is supposed to come clean" another lady walked in and asked for a manager . Honest the cashier at the top of her lungs screams his name !CHRIS! Twice ! I am in disbelief at the lack of professionalism . Also that the store was not cleaned before you reopened .you could clean the store before stocking . Honest emptuly boxes and trash everywhere . The floors are so disgusting at least take a broom to them and get the garbage up off the floor.

I often shop here when I run out of something. While CVS is next door, I can always find the product whether it food, trash bags, or writing tools. Very convenient to shop with friendly employees.

Love the store manager here! She is always so friendly no matter how chaotic it is. Employees are always friendly and store is much more organized since this manager started working here.

While shopping there they had a sale car full of leftover Easter candy marked 90%off. When the items were rang in (originally $4.50) they rang up as $1.45. Even the sign on the cart stated that a $5 was only $ 50. So how can 90% off off $4.50 ring a $1 45? The store manager tried to tell me that was 90% off. Maybe it would be beneficial if managers would actually come out of their office and personally address customer issues or maybe they could have the necessary skills of computing mathematics. Needless to say I chose not to buy the items and will no longer use this business. Just another story of how this company us taking advantage of customers who don't pay close attention to what's being charged

Pretty sure the Akron stores all close at noon now. Went two 2 in the falls. It’s 4:44pm and both closed early. Why are they opening new locations when they can’t staff the ones they have is my question

I use to love going to this dollar general. They always had everything I needed and the store was always nice and clean. I am not sure what happened but the store is a mess. Stock no matter what you want is always low or not there. There are random items just stacked in the corner of the front of the store. I refuse to go in there now. It is not clean either.

The is a really sketchy dollar general. The whole place feels dim and dirty, like some sort of weird prison style dollar store. The employees themselfs are not bad although they don't seem like they want to be anywhere near the place. One girl was saying she hated being there after she ran out of change in the drawer. The whole store just seems and feels like a big unorganized mess. I cannot stress enough how it feels like its never even been cleaned. Honestly I'm not sure how its still open to this day.

I am a regular shopper for the last 20 plus years I can always count on a friendly greeting and atmosphere..as for shopping..best prices ever on my everyday cleaning supplies and seasonal snacks....one improvement for my tastes I would only ask for an expanded inventory of home goods like curtains rugs and things to make my home pretty. What stock is there has great affordable pricing and quality thank you for always making my weekly shopping experience a great one and keeping the prices affordable!!!😍

The store is always messy, out of stock of most things you need , just about all dollar generals are messy unorganized, not so friendly workers, only thing it has going for it is its convenient when you need to pick up something quick if they have it in stock thst is. Dollar general has potential as long as the company can take advantage of it and capitalize on the opportunity,

The aisles are usually blocked with merchandise needing to be put on the shelves but this time when I was in there there wasn't one thing blocking the aisles

They take your money but wont let you use the bathroom like alot of places. I have called the distric manager of the akron dollar general stores and he informed me that all dollar general stores employees ARE TO ALLOW customers to use the restrooms. I guess i have to call again. I am a senior with bladder cancer and it decides when i have to go and does not allow me the pleasure to hold it to get to someplace else. This is just wrong but hey as i say they have no problem taking your money

I do enjoy shopping there. One thing I don't like is how messy the store is all the time. Also on some items it's hard to figure out the price, especially clearance items. But the staff is nice and I find some good deals.

Great employees. Convenient location. Could be better stocked- always seem low on product. It it a busy store so it could be that or not receiving enough to fill the shelves since COVID.

Whenever I try and use their coupons on my phone, they don't come off. I usually spend the regular price. My phone number is updated. There should not be any problem. But, there is.They need to work on their coupons.

I love my local dollar general, it let's me walk close range and buy lots of different things. For Christmas I bought 20 people five gifts and only spent about 100$. It was a deal and a steal if you ask me.

I was at the State Rd. Location today and questioned an employee why she was wearing her mask as a chin guard. She told me she was told as long as she had it somewhere on her her person she was good, and not interacting with customers...yet she was 4 ft. from me. What kind of mask policy is that?

If your register offers cashback then you do cash back ... Stop putting up badly handwritten notes because you don't feel like dealing with a customer needing cash back! Also don't give the customer attitude if the note isn't posted where they can see it or because somebody removed it.
