Instead of helping animals, it appears that they are quick to euthanize a fur baby, rather than allowing them a fighting chance at life. “Finders cared for her 2 weeks, but knew euthanasia was best, and so do we.” This is NOT a no-kill shelter! Have compassion and find a rescue that rehabilitates and finds adopters if you can’t care for your commitments.

We drove 3 half hours to take our new fur baby home. The staff went up and out of their way to help us bring Tucker (oreo) home he is a great addition to our family.

My mom & I took a stray kitten to Coshocton Animal Shelter. The volunteer was super friendly and personable. Even though we brought the kitten into our house for 3 days to keep it safe and warm, we got attached and hated that we couldn't keep her. Our family includes 2 big dogs and also a cat allergy. The volunteer made us feel at ease when we dropped the kitten off with her. She truly made my day!

These folks are the nicest, most caring people ever!! If ever you need help with your animal or know of someone looking for a pet, get ahold of these guys. They're gonna do their best to help you. Seriously. And not to plug for donations for them but they always needs old blankets old pillows, dog for cat food cat litter, cleaning supplies. They can always use the help. They're volunteers that work there, so any help for them is appreciated. Thanks again!!

These have got to be the most wonderful place. We found a box of kittens by the river at Riverside Park they were half starved eyes all goopy and full of internal and external parasites unfortunately I could not keep them. I drove them out there they took them right in didn't even question well they fostered them out till they were all better then they all were adopted out. Just downright awesome people. Thank you so much Coshocton County Animal Shelter and God bless everyone that works n volunteers there.

The staff member that I worked with was very kind and compassionate. I had to unfortunately surrender a dog due to not being able to care for her properly because of a back injury.The shelter still has COVID precautions in places for the safety of everyone, so make sure to set up an appointment if you are interested in visiting.

This shelter truly puts the needs of animals first and foremost!!! The amount of compassion, understanding and support given by these people operating this much needed facility knows no limit toward both the animals and owners of beloved pets. Coshocton Animal Shelter is truly a complete blessing to all whom love animals, love their pets and want what's best for their pets...especially when you have no where else to turn! Letting go is never easy and most painful...but when necessary...these are the people to turn to...especially when they are your last hope! Bless you and thank you for ALL YOU DO to help the animals and us owners!

Very friendly staff,, our fur baby Monka are bonding,, he did bit me pretty good ..I did not hurt him an anyway... I let him be, and he is starting to come around.. He Sat first time on my husband lap,, I finally told my husband Monka bit me, I did tell him it's probably not a good idea for him to hold him, he might bite, I am pretty not into him .. He is doing good.. He has come a long ways,, starting to explore the home.. It took him a little while to go down stairs, 2nd step for 2 days,, finally when he did go down the basement I couldn't get him back up here,, I had to leave I did prop the door for him,, my husband said he stayed down there for 2 hours,, he is doing good his eye cleared up. He eats good.. I hear him in the kitchen right now,, he still has the upstairs to explore,,

We had a ferrel cat on our property with a kitten in bad shape. No one would take them in except this place. They have some very compassionate, excellent employees who stayed late and gave us their cell phone number to make sure we got the strays to them. Thank you.

I want to thank them for taking a pregnant kitty that was left behind by someone! She had one litter about 12 weeks old 3 black and 1 tiger that they will be taking in for me! They are excellent to their animals and pleasant to deal with! They do not hang up on people like other shelter I know!

Good people with good intentions but the cat room was full of sick cats, 2 cats with serious paw injuries, most were sneezing, about half had diarrhea stuck to them. Sick cats should be isolated from the general population to prevent spreading. Otherwise clean facilities and friendly staff. I personally would not adopt a cat here. The cat would pose a huge risk to my healthy pets at home.

I've had a lot of dealings with Coshocton County Animal Shelter this last one really took the cake I don't know what happened but I lost the part of my family while I was gone for Christmas to see my grandchildren. I came home to find the dog gone I called the animal shelter and they had already put it out for adoption. For those of you that don't really know they do kill animals. It states in their readings that they are not a no-kill shelter

Employees put their all into making this shelter a better place, positive experience for clients and as comfortable as possible for the animals that come to them. They work hard to get all animals adopted, keeping the website updated so that these animals are out there and have a better chance at a home.

Seems to be a carding place. Sorry not my favorite place to go. Dogs r better then most people. It was hard to do an there not even mine. But I was around them a lot. Hope they get a good family.

Just dropped my little Mavis off. Breaks my heart but I know she will find a wonderful home there. They're very secure and clean. Drop off was easy and fast.

Tink admitted remembering dropbox female dog, Oct 2017. Pet was victim of her owners car stolen the night before , Where is dropbox victim you said you would get info n call back... after admitting remembering her, after stating "maybe shes in a loving home now and new owners want to keep her" and also stating " why would a thief drop in our dropbox the dog here?" I replied "who knows why m what car thieves think."

My daughter and I drove quite far to bring five little kittens that have been dropped off the people there are so nice they welcomed those kittens the staff is awesome I hope those kittens will get a great home

The shelter is closed to the public except by appointment. I found a puppy running along a major highway and the shelter sprang right to action to meet me there and take the puppy in. I was very greatful and the puppy was safe!
