We highly recommend this historical Fowler General Store and Bakery. The baker and owner was so helpful making a sympathy basket of assorted cookies, brownies, muffins, mini apple loaves, bear claws, and scrones for a close family member that lives in Fowler. They went out of their way to get a basket and sympathy card to put the pastries in for us. We live in Texas and was also needing delivery. They have never done this before but didn't hesitate to help me make this an easy pleasant process. The owner delivered the basket and prayed for their family. My relatives were so blown away and appreciated the prayer and kindness shown by the the owner. My cousin is an incredible baker so this was such suprise and treat to have this made for her. She called me to thank us for the delicious bake goods and couldn't express how grateful and special everyone made them feel. You could hear happiness in her voice after all the grief of losing her son💔. We can't thank the owner and baker enough for their kindness during our difficult time. The bakery makes delicious high quality bake goods and we recommend them to all our family and friends in Ohio.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!A definite destination location ❤️

This place is like stepping foot into a Hallmark movie. Lovely atmosphere. Daily specials. I had a warm pot roast sub and stuffed pepper soup. Super affordable and great tasting. I also picked up one of the highly sought after pumpkin rolls for Thanksgiving next week. The owners are great people too. Very welcoming. Will return many, many times!

I have to RAVE about the bakery, it's the BEST baked goods and treats around! And I'm thrilled about the gluten-free and even dairy free cookies, brownies and cakes! Why did God open up the heavens and drop this extremely talented baker into little Fowler Ohio? I don't know but I'm extremely happy about it. I have had the gluten-free brownies, chocolate donuts, peanut butter cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, white chocolate and cranberry cookies and the pound cake. I can't believe they are gluten-free!!!! They are all awesomely delicious treats! I'm gonna be gaining weight that's for sure. The interior is delightfully old fashioned and a very pleasant place to meet a friend for coffee or tea and a snack or lunch, and bring something home for later. I like the local products on offer like the Awesome Rubs meat seasonings and marinades, and even Belly Rubs, a nutritional additive to sprinkle on your dog's food. Lots of parking available right out front. Very easy to find at the intersection of 305 and 193. While I'm over that way I drive 7 minutes to Vienna and The Apple Basket. The two stops makes a really nice shopping and lunch outing with friends or family.

Hubby & I stopped for lunch today, it was our first time there! We split the pot roast sub combo suggested by Shawn the owner and it was absolutely delicious!! The store is so cute & we can’t wait to go again! Very friendly workers & the cookies were delicious also!

Very nice old time store. They have a deli, ice cream, cookies, donuts and cinnamon rolls that are the best. They will even warm them up for you. There coffee is good with that cinnamon roll. The subs are great, try the pot roast with cheese. I recommend it! You might find candy in here you haven’t seen in awhile! Nice, friendly people!

Honestly wish they had the pot roast every day, but the other daily specials are good, too. The meatball subs are great, and the tacos are a good new addition to the menu. There’s a good selection of baked goods, with a gluten free selection of a lot of the more popular baked items.

My friend and I stopped there for lunch. It is a small town shop with a little of everything. There is a limited menu but doesn't mean that the food is not delicious. There were 2 soups and 2 sandwiches available as well as other items. I had Wedding Soup that was delicious and my friend had a pulled pork sandwich that was also very good. I had a homemade sugar cookie that was thick and moist with frosting. The cookie was just right consistency, sturdy but soft, the right treat for after meal. Other baked goods were available. Lots of traffic in and out of people stopping to grab lunch. It's a great place to try.

First time stopping here.My wife and I had a coffee and a fresh cinnamon roll. Coffee is all fresh roasted and the cinnamon rolls baked on site. Rolls were warmed up and brought to our table. Very good rolls and coffee.Store is unique in itself. Antique pressed tin ceiling with newer light fixtures which look great. Wooden shelving with different types of pie fillings, jellies, and even some canning supplies.A very unique store and a great visit. Will be back again to try out a fresh soup and sub combo!

Wonderful store with lots of local flavor. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They sell Denmandale Milk which is local and absolutely delicious. The in-house subs are very good. Fun and eclectic selection of food, snacks, and gift items. We stop in about twice a week for milk and snacks. They also sell frozen meat from nearby Jones Butcher which is excellent quality. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Finally made it to the Fowler General store and bakery. Had the best interaction with the owner and one of the baker /employees. The nostalgic hometown feel of the place will make you want this to become a habit. We had homemade donuts and cookies for a late breakfast. Shawn graciously let us sample the roast beef . It was so juicy tender and tasted amazing. He also insisted we taste the homemade buckeyes. They were huge creamy and delicious. We want to make this a go to lunch and dinner restaurant also.

Go out of your way to get here, you won't regret it. We stopped in for coffee in the morning and drove out of our way to come back for lunch ... and glad we did. We got the pot roast sub and it was freaking delicious; fresh bread, meat needed no added flavors, it was delicious as is. Wonderful staff, historic building, delicious food, healthy servings, reasonable prices, what else can I say?

Seemed like everytime I was in the area it was Sunday and they were closed. Finally today I was lucky and stopped for a coffee and donut. I usually take sugar in my coffee but he had me taste it first, it was delicious without. Got a cherry donut and apple bread. Everything was fantastic. Definitely will stop again. Such a gem.

This is a very cute place! Like the old time general store. You can get a snack, a flavored soda and sit down and play a board game, all while having a friendly chat with the hostess Heidi, who is a super person. If you just need to escape for a few minutes and relax on a busy afternoon, this is your place.

Love this place! Great spot to stop and browse locally sourced goods, get a few grocery items (love the Chicken Pot Pies in the freezer), and get delicious fresh-baked goods (the donuts!!!). Owners/Management are always friendly and helpful.

This is store is so cute and has lots of great products from local vendors. The baked goods are delicious! I got a scone and my husband got a blueberry bagel, both were so good and the lady was extremely nice
