I went to this store in an emergency situation as I normally don't shop here. It was my first time here. Honestly it wasn't that clean. They had lower prices than most other stores but a lot of brands I've never heard of. It reminded me of Aldi's which I've been on once and didn't care for it. I bought basics like milk, butter, etc. Then found out at check out you have to buy your bags and pack your groceries. Well the cashier was super nice and helpful. I feel if it's close by and you're in a rush it's fine. But I would rather not shop here. It's a way to save money. I suggest taking reusable shopping bags instead of buying them. After work I stopped into a grocery store off the highway, Save a lot on east 185th st. It was easy getting dinner items because there wasn't much traffic. I quickly grabbed my items and went to the register. Where I walked into an empty line with no customers and a waiting associate. The associate didn't greet me nor dud they ask "was this everything for me, like they do at Daves! The issue didn't come until I requested to have my 2 items bagged. The associate who had to be no more than 19-20 yrs old, was too excited to hand"me the bag" to bag it myself. I asked you can't bag these 2 items. He simply stated , We don't do that"! I was immediately upset because it was his indignant attitude towards the request that possed me off. Customer service is extremely important and this particular person definitely was not there to assist or service customer in a manner to make us feel good about shopping at Save a lot, which I neeevvvveeerrrr do! I never will either thanks to your great employee.

I was only here to meet someone in the parking lot. This area is not safe anymore. Shootings happen on the next street over and stores get robbed. This specific store I stopped visiting approximately five years ago because it was always busy with one register open and a long line of people waiting to check out. The store did have a nice selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The prices are affordable.

Terribly cooked food and not worth it. If you're not on foot and hungry drive anywhere else! The way they cook the food there. The first time wanted something small and tried the hotdog, bad. Since they are by a main bus line (Windmere station) when I was there again, tried a sandwich in the hopes that something more expensive would have been better cooked, maybe the hotdog had sat too long, the sandwiches were even worse! While it's a cheap meal for the hotdog, if you're really hungry, don't spend any real money there, the food is cooked so bad it tastes institutional.

parking lot has a LOT of big, deep potholes, trash , strange characters hanging around, very limited selection of vegetables, meats and food in general, meat look old, one long line with two or three clerks just hanging around the ONE CLERK distracting her laughing on the phone, clerks has attitudes.. NOTHING like the store on CLARK AVE.. they have excellent meat and well stocked there with pleasant employees.. RATCHED and area not safe especially at night and security hiding. SMH

Just a quick in & out trip for a handful of items. Everything I needed was in stock & there wasn't a lot of people there during the time I was there so no long wait times. All Save A Lot stores need to work on their prices though.

It's a Saves A Lot. I don't think anyone really likes it. The prices are cheap, but the selections are hit and miss, even before the pandemic. Even when they're stocked well, there are probably a number of items on your list that won't be here.The staff couldn't be bothered or care less about you or anything else.You have to purchase your own plastic bags, which is fair, but you also have to bag them. Also fair, but I can pay the same or less at Marc's or Walmart, have my bags ready before I'm done paying, and I'm out like a bandit.If you shop here, you definitely live nearby and need a convenient grocery item like fresh produce.

Now if you don't like big box stores, those big box store prices, or having to check yourself out,... You need to shop at Save-a-lot. All the same food, fixings, cleaning items, toilet paper, paper towels, candy, etc., just for a cheaper price. So save yourself some money and shop at SAVE-A-LOT!! You'll be glad you did!Why pay a lot... If you don't have to!!!!!!!

This place has gotten disgusting. you got to keep an eye on their meats. Went in there this past weekend for a so-called rib roast and half of them had Brown and green coloring on them smell disgusting. The less I shop there the better off I am. Do not recommend this store anymore. You see these pictures of save-a-lots throughout the United States that look amazing. They put no renovation into this building since it change hands. I truly believe it's gotten worse.

Kool low key in the cut save lot Kool for cheap stuff me personally like this store for certain things no meats at all but I do like this one bag of frozen chicken strips they have totino's frozen pizza for something quick with rising food prices they are very affordable for some items!

Where does Sav-A lot get it's meats and produce on several occasions the freshness and prices has been an issue for those 2 depts specifically? Why are the food prices so high and what is the store owners doing to address the matter? I understand gas prices are part of the equation but what is the distribution and logistics range. Maybe you should consider more local farms and distribution port hubs to save on gas and pass the saving on to the public ~

The meat dept is not what it used to be!!! Overall this store is or was better stocked than the one on Noble Road and the Shae/St.Clair, Superior/Garrett Square!!! Some shopping trips are a waste of time going to them!!! They must improve these businesses or risk being closed!!! I pray for the prosperity and improved management overall to the poorer communities!!! Amen!!! But without the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Light of the world that we all need to be regenerated, one can do nothing...NEVER ..THE...LESS LORD JESUS COME ON THROUGH LORD, COME ON THROUGH...

I was in your store and had one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a supermarket no one was professional at all actually they were completely unprofessional I was in line waiting for a cash register to be able to check out when another line was open but I was not asked to move over to that line he took people that hadn't been in line and started waiting on them to make matters even worse I get to the cash register he tells the young lady to take the cart that he's putting groceries in and just set my groceries on top of the aisle gave him money for a bag exactly $0.35 and he did not give me any change back said that he told me that if I wanted my receipt and I didn't answer so he balded up and was getting ready to throw it away my suggestion if you're going to buy groceries that's not the place to buy it from

The experience was horrible, the lines were long with a lot of people in the store and there were only 2 lines open. The cashiers were engaging in conversations instead of getting the customers rung up and out. The manager was nowhere in sight and there was no other employees in sight to help you find things or ask questions. I stood in line 20 minutes to purchase 2 items.

A big mess. One register open with over 20 people in the store. The manager needs to know the importance of getting the customer in and out as quickly as possible. That may be corporate standards because all save a lots are the same. They only do it in black neighborhoods because they would not get away with it in the white neighborhoods. Oh maybe that's why there not in the white neighborhoods

Definitely a no frills grocery store, and prepare to be accosted for change before you get out of your car. The staff was friendly, but I don't think Save-A-Lot has repaired the parking lot since it took it over from Finest / Topps 25 years ago. Selection of meat was highly overpriced. I did find Fry cheese, was really happy about that. As far as pricing goes it's the same as Dave's or Giant Eagle. Save your dough, go to Aldi's.

Hey my Google family i love this Sav a lot I truly do but I have to keep it 100 my loaf of bread was chewed out by a mice & I've found out items here that has been as well shop with caution as I do.. I still shop there always will clean store nice friendly staff mice are drifters can't help it . So it's a 5 star for me

Today I was in Save-A-Lot and it was filthy nasty fruits and vegetables were withered some were rotten and it's always like that they actually need to just shut it down clean it and hire new people I'll never come in to save a lot again this particular save A lot. 😡😡😡. The Save-A-Lot on 63rd and Harvard is great I'll shop there anytime

Store was clean, cashier wasn't mean, but wasn't very pleasant either. I understand it was the last 10 mins before the store was to close, but a smile goes a long way and would get the store more than 3 stars....
