Store was closed 1:50pm on the Sunday I tried going. A sign on the door would clear up that issue, don't you think? No notice just a locked door & merchandise tossed everywhere inside.

This place is awesome! The owner is very kind and extremely helpful. He has no problem answering questions from newbie aquarium enthusiasts such as myself. His prices are absolutely fantastic. I've gotten most of my fish and froggy supplies from him, for a fraction of what I would pay at other stores! He is very honest, and he doesn't try to sell you anything that you don't need, which I appreciate a ton.If you need fish supplies or advice, do not hesitate to go here. I promise you won't regret it!

Jim is a very helpful individual. Store is small and unnoticeable from street due to office store design. However he carries a large inventory for such a small space in both salt water and tropical fish supplies. Only thing is I wish he carried saltwater livestock but he currently only deals in fresh water livestock. Definitely worth a stop as his prices seem better than most.

Great place to buy fish! Jim is always great to work with and very knowledgeable. Many fish stores will just try and sell fish but Jim makes sure you leave with the right ones. He has the best prices around and always have beautiful fish in stock! The store is smaller but he has everything you need!

Jim is one hell of a guy. His supplier raised the price on the 7.5 gallon nano cube I bought but he sold it to me at the price I was told over the phone instead of upping the price on me when I showed up to buy. His prices are already the best in town but his honesty speaks more. I’m going to be a long time customer.

Also for fish he mainly deals with cichlids and plecos but had lots of different fish foods and all different size containers of it. Great store.

Small and a little cluttered but a good selection of supplies. Fish selection honestly underwhelmed me and is as the name suggest just African cichlids. Didn’t see anything that got me excited but I honestly was just checking the place out and didn’t need anything. The owner was beyond nice and very cool to talk with. I’d trust him and feel good giving him my money. Prices are extremely fair so check them out before going online. Bought a eheim heater for maybe a buck more then amazon. Told me about his excellent deals on frozen food so they will be my go to spot for frozen.

Rift is just one of many of favorites , I Love this place , Very Small but to the point , Jim the the owner is very nice and accommodating guy, what he doesn't have he will get and his prices are very reasonable, almost half of what it cost down the street and in the commercial pet stores. Like I said the place is small and to be expected, cluttered , however if you can't find what you need at a good price you better get your eyes checked. He's got a great selection of cichlids in back, so far I've purchased around 8 fish from Jim with no problems they're healthy and they look great. He even fills your bags with oxygen for a long ride home. Rift Lake gets a 👍🏻thumbs up from me. Definitely give this place a try, Look around, more and more things just keep popping out at you. Stopped in today to check out some plecos. Jim was extremely nice and very helpful. He's a wealth of knowledge when it come to freshwater fish and supplies. He helped me select a gold nugget pleco, and even cut me a good deal. I'll definitely be back for some cichlids once I get a bigger tank!

If you belong to NEOfish you can get a 10%-15% addition discount off of his already low prices. He also has live fish many different varieties including some hard to find L number Plecos.

Look for the block of buildings 6777 on the east side of Engle rd. Front of store faces north. Jim welcomed me in and showed me the Cichlid collection offered. From 2" to 5" are on display. After looking at an adult male peacock, Jim found me a 3" version. He took the time to explain the tank hierarchy and coloring up of the tank boss and tank water. He recommended adding the my fish in the evening when lights are low. My guy looks great and is probably closest to my largest. Will be back. Take the time to look at tank decor for sale. Will be back.

In my opinion I dont think the store is worth traveling too. I've been there 3xs my brother-in-law took me the 1st time I bought severums that had ich and died(I didnt know they had ich). The 2nd time other shops and ppl through out the hobby spoke well of the owner. So why not give him another try. I went and asked several questions in which he gave no concise answer and they were simple questions about putting fish with other fish. I also was interested in a large severum that was in the front room tank but the tanks water had a bloom of some sort which turned the water a milky white color. The tank had no light and yet he wanted to still sale me the fish. This last time I came sign said shop opens at noon. Well needless to say it wasnt open I called and he said he'd be there shortly. I didnt wait and I'll never return. Also this place has stuff everywhere so be careful walking around. Also the tanks are not cared for properly in my opinion so again I'll NEVER RETURN.

This place is tiny. The fish tanks are not maintained properly and it smells funky because of it. The product selection for aquarium supplies is nice. But it's over crowded and hard to find what you are looking for. But prices are reasonable.
