We had to bring our dog there after he shattered his femur. The care was amazing. Our doctor was amazing. The assistants were remarkable! They let me stay with my pup until the last moments when he entered surgery. They checked on us regularly and thoroughly explained everything to a T! Had they not taken the time to explain things we would have been so scared when we brought our fur baby home. They called and checked on us the first couple days home and made sure we were all doing ok. It was expensive. By no means was this place cheap. It was worth every single cent we paid!!! If I had to I would choose this place over and over again. Thank you to every staff member that expressed patience, empathy and understanding! Especially during the financial portions. You guys were wonderful.

My husky got into an entanglement with another dog. When arriving to Med Vet we were helped immediately, one of their very nice and sweet vet techs (Brittney) came to us and took all the stress of the incident away. My dog loved everyone there and they made him very comfortable! 10/10 would go back and highly recommended!

This is honestly one of the nicest most caring groups of veterinarians I have ever been to. I have had one dog go to the oncologist, another to the neurologist, a couple ER trips and a specialty surgery and they went above and beyond to care for my dogs each time. It’s obviously not cheap but it’s worth it to know my dogs are getting the best care possible. Dr. McBrien amputated my dog’s tail and called to follow-up and check on her multiple times afterward and was never in a rush to get off the phone and was always willing to answer any questions I had. I hope to never have to go back (lol) but wouldn’t hesitate for a second if I did.

All of the staff at MedVet were so caring and compassionate when we took our beloved dog Sophie in yesterday. By the time we arrived she was actively dying and they took her back immediately to start the IV. We didn't need to wait more than several minutes before the doctor came in to euthanize her. She was able to pass peacefully with her family present. I can't express enough gratitude to the staff for their professionalism in taking care of Sophie. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank you so much for the wonderful care you gave Sophie and her human family during this difficult time!

We have gotten to know the MedVet family well over the past several months of chemotherapy for our pup. They are caring and compassionate, brilliant and thoughtful. We know our dog is loved and cared for here. Would highly recommend to any pet owner!

The service, care and compassion we received when we brought our dog Marley into the facility. Marley was very very sick and unable to walk. They fast tracked him and took him back right away. Shortly after they took him back they called us back. Dr. Zab came into to talk to our family. He told us what we feared the most. Marley had cancer. Dr Zab discussed the options we had. Ultimately we decided that we didn’t want him to suffer. Once we made that decision Dr. Zab explained what would happen and let us know we could be with him the entire time. I chose to be with my baby until the end. Dr. Zab was compassionate and patient with us. I couldn’t have taken Marley to a better place than MedVet! Thank you Dr.Zab for the personalized card after! That meant the world to our family!!I highly recommend MedVet!!

WONDERFUL! Incredible to know there's a place like this (state-of-the-art facility, caring, highly professional team) that's available 24-7. I visited them for the first time at 2am with a pet emergency, not knowing what to expect at this late hour. Instead, I was greeted by a team of extremely kind, compassionate, caring folks. Highly professional. Thank you all so much! I wish I could leave SIX stars. Take care.

Although we showed up at 1:30am in the morning with a sick senior dog.....the staff was SO KIND, helpful, quick and diagnosed our dog so fast. It was wonderful to know he would be OK and they gave him some fluids and an anti-nausea shot. We were on our way within a couple hours....which for an EMERGENCY was pretty amazing. Our dog was already feeling better when we left than when we had brought him in. So grateful for MedVet services and the team on call that night.

Everyone was very friendly, helpful and compassionate to my injured dog. We were helped in a timely manner. My dog was a bit anxious, and the staff identified this and recommended I wait with my dog. I was pleased they were caring/observing for her emotions as much as her injuries. The waiting area was comfortable with plenty of natural light, space to spread out and WiFi.

Medvet has been wonderful to my 3 dogs. Staff are kind and compassionate. Wonderful communication. Clean facility. Wait times can be a bit long, but that’s to be expected in an Emergency vet setting.

The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They made me feel comfortable and helped me understand the issue with my pet. Kyle and Rose were absolutely wonderful to deal with. The price of surgery was unfortunately too far out of reach but they were understanding and assured me that their evaluation would be sent to my normal vet.

Horrible waiting experience took my cat and waited over 5 hours just to keep being told there was one more stable pet a head of me which is fine I get it but when other stable looking pets came in well after me they were seen and some were apologized to for the long, I just feel that was not ok. I said after I took my now deceased cat I would not go back but stupid me went back in and no treatment was done as I left. I definitely will not make that mistake a third time

The staff was very friendly, the moment we walked in to when we checked out. Kelley and Dr Prudic were amazing and sweet the whole time with our questions and concerns. The facility was clean and very pet friendly. In the exam room, there was a blanket on the floor for our fur baby’s comfort, and Kelley brought our dog water because he was so thirsty from our travel. Everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend this hospital to anyone who wants genuine care for their beloved pet.

My Chihuahua mix 11 years old had a stroke they were able to help her and we brought her home the same night after IVs medication and Care. It was like a real hospital amazing service. I called back two weeks later to let them know how well she was doing so that they would know, a happy ending

Extremely Disappointed.Brought our cat for a visit due to not eating for over a day and not acting himself. After a brief wait, (20-30 min) we were taken back to check heart rate and temperature. This gentleman was the most helpful out of everyone. After all looked good we were sent back out into the lobby to wait for the vet to see us. 4 1/2 hours later we were finally called back into a room to be seen. I understand the nature of the business and can deal with the wait as everyone is dealing with situations. However, the following series of events is completely unacceptable. We were walked into the room and the women guiding us in said she needed to take our cat for a moment into the back. After 3-5 minutes our “vet” walked into the room without our pet. She stated that she did a “visual inspection” of our cat because she didn’t want to touch him as he was testy and a representative would be in the room to discuss the costs. She then left the room without giving us any details or ideas of what we may be dealing with. Meanwhile our pet is still not with us. What is a visual inspection?A women then walks in to tell us it will be at least $1,000 for x-rays and blood work while we still don’t have any discussions of what we may be dealing with and still don’t have our pet. The gentleman who checked his vitals was the most helpful throughout all of this. Also, he had no issues handling the cat with an ear thermometer and a stethoscope. We love our pet so we pay the money and leave our pet with them as it was a weekend and we couldn’t go to our regular vet.Later that evening we receive a call that we can come pick him up and there were no blockages found via the xray. It may be a diet change and gas issues. We then get a call hours later that the now think there is a blockage and should bring him back. Why would you send an animal away if you are not sure everything is ok?At this point we lost trust and held out till the next morning when our vet is open.I know this is a nonstop job and we are willing to do what is needed to take care of our pet. With that being said, not giving us any interactions that could comfort us or give ideas of what may be happening but only to shove at least $1,000 bill (which was only the deposit and we ended up paying more) in front of us after waiting for 5 hours is insane.ZERO STARS

I don't understand the negative reviews. Staff was caring, compassionate and yes I was there for 6 hours but its like human ER critical cases taken first...thankfully Magghe was critical...just urgent. Magghe was triaged quickly and given some benadryl to see if that helped with acute unknown swelling. When it didn't we tried more. But vet was not money grabbing, she could have done x-ray and ct scan but opted, if I was agreeable, to treat conservative since the aspiration, blood work and sedated exam ruled out the serious items and yes we didn't get a definitive answer but we ruled out serious items and she's better and eating...also clipped her nails too which was nice since she hates it and theyre black :) .With sedation, meds, emergency visit etc...it was only about 150 more than her wellness visit earlier this year.I loved that they wanted me present for almost all things...so different than what I experienced at new vet during wellness (nothing done in front of me even though I asked it to be done in my presence).Hopefully I'll never see Dr. Husseini And staff again....but I would not hesitate to take her there again if I needed to. Very clean, caring staff, and conservative affordable care. My only complaint is I wish they provided regular vet services too.Thank you for caring for my Magghe.

Our new pound pup Stanley got into a late-night kerfuffle with one of our cats and started walking with a pronounced limp. As terrified new dog parents, we took him to the ER, where he was thoroughly examined. The vet assured us it was his pride hurt more than anything else and discharged him with some antibiotics. I am so grateful that this caring team of veterinary professionals was there when we needed them—the service was impeccable from start to finish and the facility is cleaner than some “people hospitals” I’ve been in. Thank you MedVet!

The staff was amazing. It was a stressful day for them with a lot of emergency visitors, but I could tell they put care into every interaction that day and that just means the world to me. The doctor took the time to talk through options with me given the information we had. I got to ask plenty of questions and felt I was really heard with concerns I had about my pet's age and what care would be right for her at this stage in her life. Everyone was warm and friendly through the entire experience.

Our elderly dog was experiencing vomiting and we learned that he had a life threatening gallbladder issue. The team at MedVet and Dr. Townsend saved our dog’s life with an emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder. It was not cheap and we spent many hours in the waiting room, but we are very grateful to have more time with our beloved dog, who is doing well 6 months later. They even went above and beyond and helped us successfully contest the pet insurance company’s initial denial of the medical claims which was a huge help.

If zero stars was an option then i would have chose that. We had the worst experience when I brought my dog Chloe in for an urgent appt because she had a cut that looked like it was getting infected. We waited 4 hours with every dog that walked in being taken back before Chloe. They had a screen with the "next in line" order and she was "next in line" for the entire last hour we were there. Finally, I called North olmsted animal hospital and they had an open appt later that day. I will NEVER go back nor recommend this place.

New facility, open and spacious. Easy to separate yourself from other pets. Much faster service than other 24-hr emergency clinics. Every tech, admin and doctor we saw was fantastic. Friendly, informative, compassionate and made you feel like your pet was SO important.

My dog,was admitted earlier this evening after eating a pack of xylitol gum. Deadly. I was a wreck. Scared out my mind, she’s almost 8. She’s been my partner in adventures for a long time. I called immediately after I knew what she did. The receptionist was very kind and calm and was like yes, you should really bring her in. Raced her there they immediately took her back to induce vomiting and monitor her. Immediately came back out and explained some things to me. So kind,so gracious, so caring. Now I understand that out fur babies are just that! Our babies. But I see these negative reviews talking about wait time. We all want our babies to be seen first! Of course! But it is an EMERGENCY hospital for our pets. When you go to the E.R. how long have you waited? They go by most important cases. They do that to us humans and pets are no different. If I brought my dog in with a non life threatening issue I would PERSONALLY make sure my dog did not get in ahead of a dog in horrible health. They know what they’re doing. If a dogs been shot and bleeding out that pup is going in waaaaaay before a pet with a cut that would require stitches. I feel they are very good (it’s their trained profession to do so) at assessing the needs of our pets. It was a hectic day there as they’ll be moving to a new hospital at 4am and transporting the admitted pets. I can only complain about the fact that they want so much upfront. I understand why but they don’t offer a sliding scale or any payment options for someone who doesn’t have a lot of money and if your credit isn’t great you won’t qualify for care credit. I really wish they offered some more options for someone struggling financially. People shouldn’t have to choose between a pets life because of a unfortunate issue with money. People fall on hard times. I luckily got the care credit but it really rubbed me the wrong way. It was very pay up or we can’t care for her, it’s this way only or take your dog home and it can die. It made me think of seniors on a fixed income that has an animal that keeps them going in life. Or a newly divorced stay at home mom with the family dog and 3 crying kids in tow.But I also understand a hospital is a place of business as much as it is for care. It was just disheartening and made me think about all the pets who may have died because their owner couldn’t afford the care. Besides that they made my girl a priority and that alone could save her life. . I will update as the time goes on, but so far I’m feeling very lucky they’re caring for her. ❤️

I'd give zero stars if I could.Called after hours because my puppy was lightly bleeding after being spayed. The woman I spoke to was not compassionate nor friendly. I asked if I could send a picture and she refused me, only stating if you think it's an emergency then you should come in.All I was asking for was guidance, compassion and some form of decent direction. I'll NEVER be coming in, I'll drive further if necessary.

We’ve been waiting for our cat to have treatment for over 7 hours. SEVEN. And still have not been seen. The wait times for treatment are insane when it’s not a life or death situation. A vet tech even left our cat’s triage room when another emergency came in. If your pet isn’t actively dying or bleeding out, please don’t bring them here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The receptionist didn’t even check us in the first time we called. If we didn’t call a second time an hour later, they would’ve ignored us.

We took our cat here when he swallowed string, the whole team was very nice and professional. They kept us informed at each step and worked hard to get us through as soon as possible. Dr. Young was clearly very skilled and explained everything to us well.

I’m happy my cat is okay, but the slogan needs to change. You can’t say that my pet is family when my option is to pay it all upfront or have him euthanized. I was desperate to help him because he’s very much lively. If there are any complications, I can’t bring him back because I used up all my money and credit that I had worked to pay off. I didn’t know I was being charge $98 every 6 hours. I just needed a break. I didn’t want him to die.

Our 10 month old kitten died this past weekend, most likely due to FIP. THANK YOU for the compassion shown when my husband brought the kitten’s body in for cremation. 💔 The sympathy card was very caring as well.

MEDVET Cleveland West did an amazing job with my "little" girl Holly. I appreciate the great quality of care as well as the compassionate and detailed communication by the ER Veterinarians. Holly and I both say thank you for a job well done to all of the doctors and staff that helped her recover.

When I called my vet’s office this morning to advise my 1 yr old puppy had been up all night coughing so hard she was throwing up, they advised me to take her to the ED, provided me with 2 recommendations and I asked, “which one would you recommend?” They said MedVet. I took her there and had a wonderful experience. They were very responsible and had me keep my puppy in the car and call to check in as she potentially had a contagious virus based on her symptoms. They then quickly saw her in their urgent care. Everyone was so amazing, efficient and compassionate. After going home with some prescriptions, I received a phone call a few hours later just checking to see how she is doing.Highly recommended MedVet!!

MedVet Cleveland has a fantastic facility and worked efficiently to help our Bernese Mountain Dog with a blockage. They have fantastic staff that were caring and capable. Their transparency in pricing was also a fresh breath as many 24/7 emergency vets will charge you an insane rate.
