I always enjoy my visits to Kamms Pet Store. They are always friendly and smile. I have read all the reviews on this page. Many of them express concern about the housing of the animals. I am pretty sure all pet stores have to follow certain safety regulations and are inspected by the state. I have been to certain chain stores and many of their animals are housed in similar ways. Regarding the mouse...you have to be 18 to by animal or else you have to have a parent with you. Also he may have been trying to strike up a conversation to see what kind of animal you have. When I have been in the store I have heard Paul ask other people about there animals. Maybe he was trying to be nice. I have bought both of my dogs from Paul and they both came with AKC certificates. Puppy mill dogs do not come with papers. So before assuming something like this maybe you should ask. I feel bad for this store. They have been around for along time and have made many people and families happy. It is hard enough for small businesses these days.

I always enjoy my shopping experience at Kamms Plaza Pet & Supply. The people that work here are friendly and knowledgeable. It's clear to see that they love pets. The animals here are so well taken care of by them.

This store violates many animal regulations to the point that it is animal abuse. There is a lionhead rabbit there that is named "Bugs" that has either a horrible respiratory infection or worse, overgrown teeth. Neither rabbits in this store had hay to munch on which is essential for rabbits to live. What's even worse, is I saw a PUPPY housed inside of a 15 gallon aquarium tank! This dog did not even have enough space to turn around, nor did the birds there have the required amount of room needed to house them comfortably. The store has plenty of space to house these animals comfortably yet they are cruelly housing them in disgustedly small spaces. This needs to be fixed ASAP

Prices were very reasonable. Walked in and wasnt greeted by anyone but instead was watched as I browsed the animals. Dogs are kept in fishtanks that are no more than half their size. Feel terrible for the animals. Bought a mouse for a pet not for food. The older guy kept asking me very werid questions about what im going to do with it and if I will do with it. Then asked to see my ID if I was 18. Im getting a single mouse thats like 2.50$. Not a 12 pack of smokes. Im only going back for their pet food because of the prices. Not a very welcoming place... either go to another chain petstore to get quailty employee kindness, but higher prices. Come here to get treated like an outsider no matter what race, age, sex, etc you are, but only for prices.

Terrible. Literally the worst service I have ever had. I went in there to buy a pet rat for my other rat to bond with, and I was ignored and rushed. I was told to “think about my decision and come back a different day because they had a shipment they had to take care of.” Uhm, no. I live 45 minutes away and have looked everywhere for a baby. I finally picked out my little rattie who was kept in the back room in the DARK. Took her home, to find out she has a lump under her arm. Tumor, cyst, attacked by another animal? I don’t know. I’m glad I got her out of there, but so sad that it came down to me supporting the business by buying her. I wish I could save all of the little babies in there😕

Animals are well taken care of, groomer is super sweet. Yes it's small, yes it's old and empty but come on now. Of course it smells it's a freaking pet store.

It was sad going back in to this pet store that I used to come to as a kid. The shelves are empty and there's dust on the few things left hanging up, probably hasn't moved since I was a child. The few animals they had where all grown and looked they have been there a long time. Not sure how the doors are still open here, but either the owner should remodel and start over or just let this place go out with some pride, not slowly like I saw it today. I am not a bot, they had two small monkeys in the back of the store a long time ago, which I assume have since passed.

I visited with my dog. There's hardly anything as far as treats or supplies for your pet. There's some stale old basic bulk bones in front of the store. The store is crammed and cluttered. Dogs in large fish tanks for sale..lol. the store is old and past it's due date. It needs a redo or he needs to retire. There's old Polaroid's of pet owners on the wall. Very nostalgic. The store isn't user friendly and I thought the store was closing, but not the case. Just a really out of date old school pet store with a couple dogs for sale and a couple hamsters. The store is barely hanging on. I didn't feel very welcomed with my pet. It was so crammed and cluttered we could barely get through the tiny store.

I've never received poor customer service from here and the older gentleman has always been friendly. BUT, it smells awful. Almost unbearable. Thick dust on most everything and just not clean at all. The smell.... blehhh. So bad.

This review is hard for me, I have been coming here for years. I love it. However it seems to be going down hill. Not good for supplies, shelves are always bare. Customer service is 50/50.

This place needed to be shut down 30 years ago when I was a kid. Neither the store nor that fact have changed in the last three decades. It is a horrible fence for puppy mill puppies and other equally depressing animals.

Its a small store compared to other one, FOR ME...AS A PET OWNER I WANT TO GO TO A PET STORE AN FIND EVERYTHING I NEED..NO DISRESPECT TO THIS PET STORE IT IS A VERY CLEAN PLACE AN NICE PEOPLE..

Everything is covered in dust, half the shelves are empty and they are obviously puppy mills puppies. Poor dogs were shivering in the front window it was so cold in there. Sad and terrible place.

They sell crickets here for geckos. Cheap too. Cheaper then pet smart. I think there like 9¢ each or something
