Used to love the workers here and would shop here on the daily with it being a block from my home. However, the snot-nosed young kids that work here are the worst, management isn’t the same as it was. And the attitudes from the older female employees at register and customer service is trashy and uncalled for. The way the groceries are bagged is unacceptable i.e. raw meat in the same bag w produce, prepared sushi being smashed and in with heavy items.Just complete disregard and carelessness. Groceries are expensive af. I don’t need them ruined and mangled when i get home and unload my groceries to put away. Get it together y’all. Disappointed

The parking lot is hell….people walk like they’ve just grown legs…if you want to hit or be hit parking, a liquor store that’s randomly closed, and walk 1.2 mph behind EVERYONE that shops there… you’ll have a blast. I’ve lost yrs off my life just trying to reach for a Gatorade. It’s either a hipster, flannel couple or a mom without support just spending 15 mins in front of the item you need. What’d you say? I’ve learned you act like a child and grab what you want!

This store is different from the rest of their stores, it has a great look and a comfortable feel. I really enjoy shopping here and just roaming around the store, finding new and different things to buy. The customer service was spot on and very helpful. I'm not normally in this neighborhood but I heard good things about this store and had to check it outThe thing that was a real pleasant surprise was Maha Grill... man you must try it out. Everything I got was above my expectations, and that's sometimes hard to do. I also enjoy the great selection in the bulk section near the produce

Unfortunately, Dave's sold us severely molded meat on 4/22/2024. We promptly returned to the store to request a refund. However, the night manager, Dorothy, declined our request, stating that the discoloration on the meat was actually "black ink." We were troubled by this explanation, as there appeared to be to large areas of mold present on two pieces of meat. Additionally, Dorothy expressed frustration that the meat was warm and couldn't be returned to the shelves for other customers. It is highly concerning and unacceptable for mold or ink to be present in meat that is sold to the public.After discussing the matter further and emphasizing the potential public health violation, Dorothy reluctantly issued a refund. However, we were taken aback by her rude and unapologetic attitude, considering the inconvenience we had already experienced in returning the item unnecessarily. As a frequent shopper at Dave's, this experience has left a negative impression, and we will reconsider our future patronage.She mentioned her name was Dorothy but our refund receipt says Jan as the cashier.

Outside of having an Edison Pizza Kitchen at this location, there is no reason to shop here. Everything is overpriced –like convenience store prices. And the smell from the seafood counter makes me nauseous as it did today when I picked up my pizza. I wanted to get out of there ASAP. As Giant Eagle on 117th and Walmart, ALDIs in Steel Market Commons are 10 minutes away, lower prices, better deals and fresher produce, meats and groceries.

I just shopped at the Daves in Ohio City and purchased 2 salmon patties at the meat counter, which I have done for years. When I was checking out I noticed that they were discolored and were crusty on the edges. I showed them to a manager and she deferred to one of the regular employees that happened to be standing close. This employee tried to rationalize that they were frozen. I showed her they were not but dried out and crusty. She said she didn't know she doesn't eat that. It was Feb. 1st so there was a looong line at customer service. I asked the manager if I had to wait for a refund and she said yes. I've shopped at Dave's since the early and have watched it be remodeled and look fancy but can testify the quality and service has just declined. I left the patties for the manager and employee to eat. Won't buy anything "fresh" there again. I wouldn't give it one star but you have to to post. So much for "serving the neighborhood."

Very nice, clean, Ohio city grocery store that caters to the hipster clientele. Cool options like make your own peanut butter and orange juice. Great selection of meat.

this is one of the best Dave's super market on the westside great selection great employees no matter what they always happy I got to give it up to them.. always see someone cleaning.. and of course love all the coupons

Dave's on carroll Ave, Is a rip off I brought a few items it comes up to $50 bucks WOW. I went to Walmart out in Parma the next week brought the same items it came out $15 bucks less. Why... Is it because it's located in Ohio City? Well it's just sad😞

Please stay away fron the bakery cupcakes. I purchased $40 worth of their cupcakes for my daughters birthday. I will never buy again. They were hard old and stale. I was truly hurt because I accually served these to family and friends. So embarrassing! Spoke with manager, he stated to show a reciept. Who keeps a reciept, when delivering cupcakes at a party. I didnt think to save it.

Great service and all. Obv overpriced but this isnt the kinda grocery you go to get snacks. If you want good meats or cheeses, or some higher end retail stuff, its a good spot.Im only leaving a review to kindly ask to stop overcooking the rotisserie chicken. Having gotten it four times and each time its very dry on the outside, I get the feeling yall overcook it to avoid people who dont know how chicken should be cooked from complaining its pink or whateverIts a shame cause it's sooo good when you get to the tender parts inside, but the wings/drumsticks are ruined when you sear it like this. I beg you, REJECT the wine moms who panic at a little pink. GIVE US GOOD CHICKEN!!!Respectfully,The Zoop Troop

I go to the deli and Everytime I have a good experience with the sandwich makers husky handsome male n brown hair female. They're always polite and don't slap a sandwich together. I can't stand a sloppy sandwich. I won't go eat if they not there.

August 2021: Ohio has a plethora of grocery options for the residents. Off in the cut, there is a Dave's Market. While it is not a supermarket (slightly smaller), has really fresh produce, keeps a decent inventory of goods, has a state of Ohio liquor store inside along with a nice wine selection.Pros:* Location. Prime Ohio City just a block away from West 25th Street, where bars and restaurants are.* Free parking. Enough said.* State liquor agency* Nice assortment of wines, cheap to expensive.* Fresh produce that are readily available. Fruits, veggies, and deli.Cons:* Smaller market size and smaller parking lot. During peak times, things can get hectic.

I arrived at this store for lunch it's supposed to open at 10:30 they brought the first pan of chicken out at 10:45 .. I went to speak to the manager of the store and his attitude was oh well they running a little late... this is the lunch crowd you would think he would be apologizing but he wasn't.. answering his phone while I'm complaining.. customer service sucks at this location...I been a customer for years at Dave's I will not go back to this location... Today is 9/29/21 and I returned to Dave again for food@ 10:30 once again the food is not ready I will not return for food again I come for lunch and this happens often at this location and the management seems to be unbothered the food is not opening on time.

I had a bad experience here. The manager Lisa was refusing to let me pick up my money from Western Union and I felt very discriminated against. They did not let me pick up my money until my American friend helped me ….. Lisa is really bad person and she doesn’t know what to do with her job , I hope you guys take care of her

I believe this is just a fancy Market District. They offer market district sammies and other foods. I found the store to be very clean with an amazing selection of fresh fruits, veggies and a variety of deli options like salads, cold specialty meats and cheeses. The bakery is somewhat smaller than most grocery stores but what they did have was some vegan options, cookies, a few cakes, pastries and about 2 pie options. Don't expect the full bakery spread like you normally see at the grocery store tho. Other than that, the layout of the store made it easy to find what I needed, the workers are friendly and helpful and checkout was a breeze.

I came here for the first time and I must say that the prices a reasonable and the quality of meat is really good. A coworker told about Dave's and I'm glad that I came out today. I'll be coming back from now on, no more going to walmart for groceries.

This store has the widest and deepest selection of NA beer. I found brands I've never heard of and all the common options. For non-alcoholic beer, this is the place.The falafel hut inside the store also has some of the best flavored falafel in town that's I've had so far.Food options are ample, able to get most items including some quality and gourmet ingredients.Parking is good for the area. Decent sized lot and street parking all around.
