Blue Fish Aquariums is to saltwater aquariums like what RMS Aquaculture is to freshwater. This is a large, saltwater focused store. It has an impressive amount of displays that showcase a good variety of saltwater corals, invertebrates, and fish. This is also has a large brackish display. They have a freshwater section, but it's patchy as far as selection goes.Pricing seems high here. I don't have a good gauge for saltwater pricing, but the freshwater fish, inverts, and plants are higher than a box store or some of the smaller, freshwater stores around the Cleveland area. If you're buying into saltwater, do some shopping around, if you're trying to keep a budget.

On the Pricey side in my opinion but I’ve had great success with fish survival and the staff is very informative. If you need help with your saltwater or freshwater aquarium they are the place to go. They also have other animals as well and I really enjoy being treated by their “mascot” Holly! She is such a sweet heart!

Only went there for reef livestock. I started back into reefing and i wanted to check a few places nearby and this was the last shop on my list. They have awesome display tanks! Prices seem decent for frags because they start from $10 however some are a little pricey. The cool thing is they will cut a frag off for ya but i think they’re trained to give you the smallest frag. I bought a octospawn from a local store for $60 a head and i bought a double. I went to this store and bought a frogspawn they cut a frag off for me @ $70 a head and i have a picture for reference. That’s the only negative i have. Other than that, they seem like a nice go to shop for aquarium things you may need!

I am one for a very clean pet shop and this is just that. The fish/plants looked amazing and I’m excited for them to expand their reptile selections! This is a very clean well kept pet store and the employee I interacted with was very nice and helpful! We ended up leaving with a giant leopard gecko that was a very acceptable price! Thank you for having a nice store to visit! We will be back!

This is the best retail shop I have ever been to. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable without being pushy. I am newer to the saltwater hobby about 8 months, the owner helped me pick coral and passed on a lot of knowledge.This is the only shop I would recommend. Everything is healthy and growing out!! Did I mention the prices are the best I have found on coral anywhere.THANKS BLUE FISH!!!!

All these beautiful fish. Drive an hour to buy a nice big saltwater fish. Well we can order you one in. Or come back in 2 days and we can have one ready for you. I live an hour away don’t feel like waiting then have to drive another 2 hours in total. Sell the darn fish I didn’t care about price just wanted a fish I would have paid 600 dollars. My point was you have the fish that want I was in the week before and seen you had what I wanted. They said then that all fish are for sale. So I figured show up buy fish. But then was told something different.

Very nice store inside but insane on the prices charging way more then any other fish store in the northeast ohio area for example they are selling a tank and stand combo thats 499 at petsmart for 999 let that sink in decor there is a joke your better off going ALL THE WAY to valley city just to save yourself some money jurrasic pets in willoughby has better prices all day

First time there. My partner and I were greeted and asked if we needed anything several times, employees were attentive and alert. The two freshwater shrimp (neocaridina) we bought to add new genetics to our shrimp colonies, along with everything we saw in the store, were very healthy looking. Our two shrimps are thriving in their new tank!Due to the shrimps dark coloring I wasnt able to tell gender in store, however when we got them home we found out they are both female and both were pregnant. One has already given birth to tons of colored babies! I feel like I won the shrimp lottery! The fact that both of the random shrimp we picked out were pregnant speaks volumes about the quality this store keeps their tanks at. Shrimp aren't easy for everyone to breed. Bravo Blue Fish. We will be back!

We stopped here after driving by a few times and we were glad we stopped in. The staff are very welcoming and fun to talk with. This is one of the nicest aquatic/reptile supplies stores we have ever been to.

The best place around to get saltwater aquarium supplies and fish and now some freshwater fish as well! Even if you're working with a tight budget there is something for everyone. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly the livestock are in excellent condition and when they don't feel well they are well treated and cared for during quarantine. I've adopted all my marine critters from here and they are such a joy to have around (photos of some of the critters below).

Got everything I needed for a upgraded clean up crew. And always has reasonable frags that always thrive in our small reef tank. Always worth the drive. Everything is doing good since it got home and acclimated. Out new plate coral fits in with the one that use to be the same size from the last blue fish aquarium buy. Me and my girlfriend absolutely love this store. We live 30 minutes away and it is 100% worth the drive. Every time we get paid we try and make it up there. Wonderful customer service and variety of fish,plants and our favorite shrimp. They also have all the necessities you could imagine for your aquarium if I could do a 6 star I would.

This place has its pros and cons.I stopped here, mainly for plants. I asked a worker about a couple plants and he replied “I’m not a plant guy.” The plant selection was not great, and they had no floating plants. They were also a bit expensive, listed as $15 a piece on the board. Whether that applies to all or some, I’m unsure. I ended up not getting any.They also had some of the most expensive prices I’ve seen in small business, for both fish and supplies and tanks, and the health of the coral and fish varied.I ended up leaving empty handed and went to another store. I do drive a long distance to visit fish stores and was a bit disappointed.The descriptions and prices listed on tanks were a bit disorganized and difficult to understand or pin point at times. Some animals didn’t have any description or price listed.I may be mistaken but I believe I saw a $15 lyretail mollies which is crazy to me.On to the better points~ the other worker I interacted with had a positive attitude and I saw him work extensively educating other customers.They have beautiful displays. From the live turtles, to the HUGE fish in the huge display tanks, it’s like going to a mini zoo! They also have beautiful decor, when you walk in you see the “dead coral reef” and there’s huge replicas of a shark and dinosaur.The turtle prices were a little inflated but for the ease of purchasing in store and not online (plus you always pay like $50 in shipping cost so it evens out), I may purchase a slider here in the future. They appeared healthy and playful.They have a LOT of tanks here, you’ll find sizes and styles not readily available elsewhere.My daughter fell in love with the turtles and two guinea pigs they had for sale!They also have some reptiles, hermit crabs, frogs, etc. I do not know which breeder they use, but it was fun to look at and is worthwhile to stop by if you’re in the market for such a pet.If you live nearby, I’d say it’s worthwhile to stop by. But I wouldn’t drive an hour plus, which is what I did. That’s my honest take.

Finally visited after they moved. Wonderful store, nice staff, hands on when you need, hands off if you don't (which important to those who get what I'm saying). Wonderful price on Amano shrimp and actually amano shrimp (though they were misspelled 😅) I got three and all are happy and healthy, two have molted within a week and have had shown no signs of health issues. Wonderful selection, prices a little higher than average on everyday aquarium things, but not excessively so, I'm happy to pay the extra and support such a wonderful store. Excited to go back! Excuse my algae flare up in my picture, hence the purchase haha.

Beautiful variety of freshwater fish and plants! Helpful and friendly staff, and visiting Holly the cockatoo makes my day. Was given a generous amount of duckweed/ red root for $5! Highly recommend for any aquarium or reptile/exotics needs

I’m literally shaking right now and so sick to my stomach. Blue Fish Aquariums you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself! When I asked what was wrong with this poor little baby I was told they no longer have a reptile specialist and they were soaking him. His face and tail and other places are literally rotting. Without medication soaking him is only going to make it worse. I told them that I would take him and do my best to save him. I was told the The best they could do is lower the price. i’m so sorry I couldn’t save you, I only wish that your current caretakers actually cared. If you have the audacity to tell a customer that a reptile is rotting to death in your store because you’re better with fish than how about you not keep reptiles.

Wow! I've been to a lot of aquariums stores, but when I saw this one, I was super impressed with the way it was set up. There's a pond area, saltwater, freshwater, and reptile. Nice big tanks to really showcase certain types of setups or large fish, but smaller ones with the stock fish available for purchase. And these people know their stuff, not like some of the staff at big box stores. (I overheard them telling a customer on the phone to cycle their aquarium before stopping by- which is what any reputable store would tell you to do!) Lots of great hardsacpe for your aquarium too- they had the more common things like driftwood, slate, and dragon stone, but also more unusual pieces like zebra stone and pagoda stone. They also have a massive umpressive coral display at the entrance. Staff is super friendly. Highly recommend visiting this place!

My favorite place in the city to buy corals from. They have the most awesome corals. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, They even know me by name. I love going there. It's better then the cleveland aquarium.

I would say they had more salt water stuff but of course that type of set up needs more stuff. Great selection of coral and such. Fun place to go look and dream.

This store is amazing! The owner and staff are so knowledgeable and helpful without being annoying or pushy. The new location is so nice and I love the addition of fresh water fish. I have never seen a self serve water station. Increadible
