I adopted my bunny Snoopy there. He is a doll! He looked very healthy and happy along with the other rabbits there. He is my baby and makes me so happy! The only downside was that there was no hay and barely any litter. Otherwise, the experience was really good and I enjoyed seeing other animal other than dogs and cats there. I recommend this place if you want to adopt a healthy exotic animal! I'll show pictures of him after I adopted him in my review.

We love our Rabbit! Tinkerbell was the best addition to our family. The staff was great and all the animals well taken care of.

Their adoption fees are very low and they're much more animal wellness focused than they are on profit.

I had the hardest time trying to find and adopt a baby kitten. And people judge for wanting something that is a baby. The women when I came in was very hesitant because I did not have any pets to begin with. (I am a single mother and I just wanted a companion for me and my daughter.) When I expressed only wanting one animal she then proceeded to try and show me a full grown cat, which was not what I was asking for. My biggest issue was if I’m paying for it I want what I’m asking for. Anyways, I bought the 2 kittens because the pressure was on. A boy and a girl kitten, not sure if they are siblings, but when I brought them home the male kitten who was bigger than the female started to try and assert his dominance in our house within just a few days. The first day he pooped behind my couch, fine accidents happen. But then the next day he peed in their cat bed, then the following day peed in my daughters bed. He never came out of her room and I was able to get him to warm up but ultimately I just couldn’t deal with the peeing in the bed. I hope he goes to a good home. When I had to bring him back luckily it was another woman to help me but when I walked in she was explaining to 2 young girls that she was waiting on an angry customer to bring back a kitty. Which was me, and I was not angry I was frustrated and anxious. So when she asked me what was wrong and I proceeded to tell her, she tried to compare “extra training” for the cat to caring for my 3 yr old daughter. There is no comparison between my child and an animal. The condescending remarks were definitely not needed.Needless to say thank god the search for a kitty is over, we have our little kitty girl who is doing great. After being pressured into 2 we are left with 1 and out $75 and I still have to pay for the other cat to get her last shots. And it smelled absolutely horrendous the Saturday I bought them.Rescue these animals from this place!

This place is a fantastic place. We contacted them about meeting a Guinea pig and we were able to meet, along with our current guinea pig, the very next day. They do a wonderful job of caring for various small animal types and are very knowledgeable about the animals as well. Definitely a double thumbs up.

Couldn't be happier. We got a hedgy today that we have been looking for. I'm so glad we rescued this little guy that was abandoned. We look forward for this guy to amaze us with his cuteness. The staff is great and there was plenty of other animals. So please stop by if you ever feel like giving these wonderful animals a loving home.

Ohio Pet Sanctuary is one of the nicest animal shelters around. It’s not the biggest, but the staff is so nice and you can see they care. My oldest daughter wanted a rabbit and she found one there so I accompanied her to meet a little lion hair rabbit formally named Thumper...now Ash!He is the cutest and he’s a sweetheart and a great addition to our family. We have also fostered 2 other rabbits during the pandemic. Smokey was adopted by a loving family and Oreo formally named Arthur was a failed foster. We fell in love and decided to adopt him! I highly recommend Ohio Pet Sanctuary!

I love going to this little place. They have a great assortment of animals in their care, and ready for adoption! You can tell right away that the owner and volunteers all really believe in what they do, and love the animals they handle.I definitely recommend them if you're looking for a new bunny, cat, bird, or other adorable creature to add to your home. They also have some supplies for purchase, so you can go home with most of what you need for a successful start with your new friend!

I got my rabbit several years ago and continue to get food from this rescue. The owner is amazing and truly cares. She always takes time to get to know the pets so when people come in she can point out the best pet for that family. She knew I needed a rabbit that would be great with kids and other animals and that is what we got. OPS is truly top of the line with highly educated personal and a caring staff.

They were so friendly and helpful. Awesome organization! We adopted a chinchilla, and absolutely love him! He was very well taken care of and healthy, and of course, still is in his new home. :) Thanks for all you do for these wonderful animals!

Very friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. They play relaxing music for the animals, and everywhere is kept clean. I go in to get my guinea pigs nails trimmed, and they gladly do it right away for a small fee.

This is one of my very favorite places. We have adopted 3 ferrets and I am picking up number four tomorrow. There are many animals here waiting for a home. They don't have dogs though. Consider adopting a pet before going to the pet store. If you have any pet food needs or other supplies, give them a call. It would be great if you could go there and buy from them. Walmart doesn't need your money.

I have not adopted an animal here, but I have visited a few times. The staff can tell you all the back stories on the animals. they truly care about them. They don't hold back the sad and horrible details about these animals pasts. They don't sugar coat things. They are real and honest. Seeing the kittens and other animals that are brought back from the brink of death is amazing.

Madison is such a hard worker and Becky is such a knowledgeable, considerate, and patient presence it made the adoption experience so smooth! It was a lovely environment to meet and greet with small sweet adoptable pets (we were looking at Guinea Pigs, and also fell in love with rabbits and rats also there!)

I had a great experience here. The ladies were extremely nice and welcoming and knew their cats very well. The music was also relaxing and gave for a nice ambiance. The process of adopting was super simple and they even had supplies I could buy in the shelter. Highly reccomend. Wish I could take all the animals home!

Love this place!! So knowledgeable and friendly and honest. You get the good with the bad - which makes for a better end result for the animal. You know what you are getting! Also, my kids love to help out here. We collect toilet paper rolls to make toys for the animals and aluminum to recycle to help support them!

Got my rabbit from there. Her name is Bug and she is the greatest rabbit in the history of rabbits. Love her and they were absolutely amazing during the adoption process.

Angela is so knowledgeable in guinea pigs. They have a great selection and really reasonable prices. They truly care about guinea pigs, cats, and rabbits. They are underfunded but keep a clean, safe environment. Forget Petsmart or Petco for your g-pig, go here instead.

The owner of this rescue is beyond amazing. She gives up so much of herself to save these animals and find them good homes. A true inspiraton to animal lovers. For someone to leave a poor review about the surrender of their pet is beyond insane. She wasnt there to make you feel good about your decision. She was there to accept your pet into the rescue. She has another mouth to feed, another cage to clean, another animal to vet, another animal to rehomShe does this all with limited resources. I would be thanking her, not condemning her on how she made you feel.

We adopted 2 new pet rats about 2 weeks ago. I think its the only rescue in the area for exotic pets. Process was simple and the staff was very personable. So far so good with the new pets, no illnesses or other issues to note

The owner of Ohio Pet Sanctuary is very thorough in what she does. The animals come first. The owner has seen more kinds of animal abuse than we could ever imagine - so yes, she may SEEM "short" with people, but that's just because most people are thin skinned and cannot handle the absolute truth. She is amazing with the animals and always goes above & beyond for the critters. I've known the owner since 2011 and I have never witnessed her being unprofessional. Ever.
