Roses is a discount store that carries a large variety of wholesale goods, like apparel, home goods, food items, personal care items, and electronics. Affordability is the name of the game at Roses. Prices are affordable and the shopping experience is so so. In order to improve the customer experience, organizing the store shelves, aisles, and buffing the floors would be small things to upgrade the store's appearance. Roses being located in the Hillcrest shopping center, where obviously this commercial space is not a priority for the property management, is not functioning at it's full potential, I'm sure. If cosmetic (appearance) and safety was effectively addressed these two small things would definitely help to increase their customer base. The employees were polite and seemed engaged in their duties. However, to see this shopping center at different points in time and to see it now is a disappointment to say the least. It is no longer a welcoming place, instead a reflection of communities neglected. If you can get pass how the shopping center is being neglected and how hopelessness of communities who are not benefiting from being gentrified has set in, you'll be able to find you a deal or two in one of the stores.

As an former employee I was wrongfully terminated employees are treated soooo unfairly discrimination they just do whatever they want ppl be drunk all kinds of crazy and to think you give your all to a place who can't even give Yu a raise to make enough money to at least get a 12.99 meal they pay they employees 10.10 cents and hr I have a with and 3 kids ive been an employee since September and was just wrongfully terminated because i didn't wanna be stuck on register all by myself

This location is one of the worst retail stores I have ever spent my money in EVER. The staff is rude, ungracious, and uncouth. The managers show a complete lack of disregard for the store and the people who spend their hard earned money at their establishment. Never enough employees working cash register, you can never get an exact answer when it comes to items in the store and they clearly do not care about a person returning as a repeat customer. I want to be clear, this location and its staff were terrible before the pandemic and have become more horrid as time has progressed. This location should be shut down until it’s corporate office can ensure that they have a manager and team that will actually make the company and community is resides in look good.

They forgot to remove the security tag off of my curtains and now I have to go somewhere else and purchase the, I called up to the store and spoke to a young lady and she put me on hold. There's no empathy, lack of accountability and complete carelessness. I will never patron their business again. The workers and even corporate is incompetent and I will file a complaint the better business burau

I love this store so much variety in one spot love the clothes it's like the only place I can find something cute and affordable to wear in my size love they they have cute plus size clothing and house stuff and more in one spot this my favorite store.

Unfortunately this store sucks. I would not recommend any grown person to come to this store. You're better off going to the North College Hill Store. I walked in with my son oh, and the lady told me I am not allowed to have my book bag with me. I told her this is not my book bag this is my purse it's a book bag purse. She says where you're still not allowed to have it in store. Now I can see if I had on her uniform, I look like a little girl, or I walked in with a whole bunch of other kids. But I didn't I feel like when I told you this is my book bag purse and I'm a grown woman I should be able to shop here. But since I'm not allowed to carry my book bag purse into the store these people would never get my money again. I make too much money to steal from this raggedy store anyway. Not all black people steal, not everybody is a thief. Before y'all Implement a policy you really need to look at the outcomes.

If this location is what I have to look forward to at other Roses’s locations...rude salespersons and cashiers! One with real short hair mouth was so bad I left my purchase at the counter and walked out! She was so nasty because I didn’t allow here to over charge me and I was actively watching my items ring up! Management needs to address this or this location won’t last much longer! I won’t spend not one dime in there! Make matters worse this was my first and last time In Roses ‘ !!! There were great deals but the deals don’t outweigh bad customer relations and experiences! Be carful whom you hire to work directly with the public!!!!

Have enjoyed going to Roses in the past, lately the staff had become so rude. Also, wondering why it is that the store closes at 9 but the dressing rooms have to be locked at 7:30. Was told in a rude manner that it was past 7:30 and she had to lock the dressing rooms to clean up. The dressing rooms were so dirty that you wouldn't think they had been cleaned in a while. There were dust balls everywhere. Heard that the 7:30 room closing was corporate's mandate. Really questioning that.

This has to be the worst store in history for customer service. Have shopped Roses for many years in North Carolina and I have never seen anything like this location. You will wait in line for 20 minutes or more each and every time you go to the Seymour avenue location. The employees will all be standing around doing nothing while you wait and wait and wait. So ridiculous Wonder if corporate knows how this store operates?

Employees are rude..asked if they had a bathroom..they stated no ..when I seen one ..I pointed out they are right there..one employee said go and use McDonald's and use theirs. I think if u spend money in any store they should have the bathrooms open. Won't ever shop there again!
