I know it was the holidays, a bit busy, but the store was hard to navigate with a cart and the check out is a very inefficient set up, especially on a busy day. In addition, what should be a major pass through across the store was tight with outposts and people trying to navigate their carts. However, the sales clerks were very helpful in finding specific items on my list. I'm not a regular shopper in this store.

Staff there is excellent! Very friendly and helpful every time. In particular a staff member who helps us with needs for our pugs(she is amazing)! We made the switch to Petco from PetSmart and are so happy with our decision. Keep up the great work!

Little girl cleaning fish tanks was rude as hell and not helpful at all. Refused to sell me 4 Glo fish for my 30 Gallon tank after laughing at us for a simple question. Won’t ever return to Five mile Rd pet co again.

They charge for their bags now. Each. Wild.Update:Petco isn't a health and wellness store... it's a pet store... charging for bags at a place where you sell individual cans of things is bad... instead of making your plastic bags 5 times thicker and selling them for a profit maybe switch to paper bags. That would cost you something though and not your customers.

My elderly mother called to ask a basic question about their services, and whoever answered kept cutting her off and saying - and I paraphrase - "we're not a vet" before hanging up on her. She never asked about a vet. I won't be shopping there or at any other location.

The girl’s who opened the store August 27 were some of the nicest people I’ve met within customer services. Me and my husband had to return 2 muzzles 3 different time because of our own measurement error. We are usually too anxious and feel awful returning products but these girl made us feel so much better with their excellent customer service.

I mainly deal with exotic animals and my only real complaint about this location is the lack of exotic animal supplies. Not only that but the supplies that are here are a bit overpriced compared to Chewy and Amazon.That's whatever for the most part since I'm only usually ever buying 100+ crickets at a time and they always have em.

Petco has a horrible return policy. Bought an aquarium stand on sale for someone as a Christmas gift. Upon opening it and assembly of it on Christmas Day we found out that it was not made correctly from the factory. When we tried to return it due to the factory defect we were told it could not be returned as it had been over 30 days. Had the issue been we damaged it we would have understood.

Just wanted to say I was there today and there was an old lady coming to get pet supplies and the worker came out and helped her walk in and helped her around the store. It was such a genuine interaction from the young lady doing it. It seriously made my day seeing that. That young lady deserves a lot of credit and a raise. It so nice to see how well the workers treat the community that comes to the store.

I wanted to purchase a harness for my puppy. There was only one on clearance in his size but it didn’t have a tag. My cashier was so helpful. She verified in store that it was a clearance item, researched on the computer what the price should be, gave me a verification receipt in case I needed to return it for any reason, and never acted like I inconvenienced her.

Everytime I come here the staff is always pleasant. I've been going to this store for years now and everytime you guys keep me happy and returning. Today I was helped by a lovely lady named Josephine she was so kind, sweet, and helpful so I already knew I was going to be writing a review. As I was leaving the store she offered to carry my giant bag of dog food out to my vehicle. I told her thanks, but I can manage so she then said I'll get the door for you and held it for me on my way out.. For me it's the little things in not only amazing service, but in life in general so I appreciate great people and hard workers who generally care like her and your entire staff.. However on my way out her and another customer informed me that I had a flat tire and she pointed in the right direction to find help. Josephine went above and beyond for me today so thank you Josephine and thank you Petco you found a forever customer in me.

Totally bypass this store....or at least don't go there when Stacy is working...they literally refused to sell us a fancy goldfish because they claimed a 25 gallon tank wouldn't be big enough for it to live in when get this...it is currently living in a 15 gallon tank! Neither associate wanted to climb the ladder to get the fish out of the tank and that's all it was.

This was the most horrible pet store experience I've ever had! I went in to purchase a mystery snail... I've had these as pets for decades and am more than familiar with their needs and care. I was asked if I needed help by a young girl named Dominique. We chatted a bit about snails and when I chose my snail, she denied me sale because I wasn't exactly sure how many gallons my tank is..... I paused a moment to think. I assured her there was ample room for two snails, as I have another. (Tank only has plants and one snail... Larger than a few gallons easy).Again.. I've had these snails for DECADES in my water garden. I asked for a manager...I was getting upset. The shift leader informed me the management wouldn't be in until next week. I felt very judged and feel like there was prejudice. Add if I'm incompetent about the requirements these creatures need... Space, food, etc. This associate doesn't know me, my tank, my home, etc... And denied me a sale of a SNAIL?!THERE WERE DEAD FISH FLOATING AROUND IN THE TANKS.. And she wouldn't sell me a snail??? I'll never return. This also isn't my first negative experience with this store. There are several other pet stores with friendly associates that aren't quick to make assumptions and will gladly accept my business.

This is my favorite Pet Store. In addition to carrying great quality pet food and treats the staff is very helpful. I can't remember if the man's name was Trey or Troy but he was a manager filling in from another store and he took the time to talk to me about my recently rescued dog. I was concerned about his dry coat and told him I was adding coconut oil to his food. He recommended a Fish Oil product that has been amazing!! Thank you very much!!
