I found Reading Feed & Garden has MUCH better prices on bird seed AND friendlier service...get rid of him and I'll return. Bad customer service and I will steer others from this business....MANY others

This is locally owned family business. They are knowledgeable about plants and planting, fertilizer and general farming. Their prices are competitive and they are located within few miles of large hardware stores. But. I prefer to buy my stuff from this location cause I can support a local business and I get great service. They are extremely helpful.

Very disappointed! I bought a beautiful Christmas tree from Ed’s and a few weeks before Christmas it stopped drinking water. We even Undecorated it and recut it and it’s still not drinking water and is turning brown and the trunk is also very soft. Called and they said “sometimes that can happen and we can’t do anything about it” our first time ever buying a tree from there and it was $100. (Which I thought was great for the beautiful tree) Now we have to run out and buy a fake tree. The kids are very upset! We have always had real trees and this has never happened to us before.

We stopped in to get our Christmas tree and some small gardening items. The Christmas trees are from Wisconsin, great quality. Much better than the trees painted blue just up the road.

Everyone was really nice and the flower selection was awesome. Got the last two Mexican sunflower plant's which I usually start from seed. First time I've come across an actual plant. I'll be returning for more bird feed among other things!

What a great spot. It is the old feed and seed store, version 2.0. They have one of the widest selections of bird seed, feeders, houses, etc. Also, they have an extensive array of lawn and garden products to make your lawn and garden beautiful and productive. Grass seed, straw, fertilizers, too. Seasonally, they have a great selection of annuals, vegetables and some perennials. If you have something to do in your yard, stop at Ed's first!

Went there for top soil and fertilizer. The service was quick and great as they helped me load the bags into my car and made sure not to damage my belongings. My dad found them thanks to their coupons in our community paper 👍

3/28/2020: Products are good, service is not. The gentleman loading our vehicle threw topsoil bags into the back of our SUV. While I rearranged to keep product on the protective plastic covering, loader pushed the next topsoil bag into my arms and told me to place it where I wanted it; no social distance. The last item to go in was a a bale of straw. Rather than placing the straw bale into the SUV, loader tossed it in resulting in a plume of straw and straw dust. Straw went into speakers grills, door hitch amongst several other places including into the second row seats. I discussed with owner; he did not care. Asked me if I tipped loader; said I would get better service. I thought one tips for good service not prior to service. Stunned. My tip for customers, if you have a vehicle w/o an open truck bed, load your own straw bale.

This store host every Christmas a the most beautifully live Christmas trees from Wisconsin. My family has been buying our Christmas tree here for the past 26 years.

Such a fun place to shop. You're greeted by dogs or cats, and the people are helpful and knowledgeable.

The grey cats name is Rocket (He's so sweet, I want him) The black cat is Steve (also so cute) His sister, Sandy, is missing (likely stolen). Dave (another black cat) is dead now. He got in a fight with another cat and the wound got infected and he's gone. RIP Dave. He was a calm cat. Rocket is now the alpha male cat in the store. There's also Zoe (I think that's her name) A mostly white cat with patches of color. She's very old (like 17 or something) and is still here. You won't see her much. There's also another cat about the size of Steve but grey instead of black. This cat is unnamed and I don't know its gender. It doesn't live at Ed's (just roams around) I have good memories from this place and it has good prices on seeds.

Ugh, I’m so sad to write this. My family has been going to Ed’s for a long time. My father got back from Ed’s last night and was very upset. He barely leaves the house to keep himself safe from COVID as he has health concerns. As he was leaving in his car and backing up carefully (he was between two trailers) an employee ran out and accused my father of drinking and told him his driving was atrocious. My father will never be returning nor will the rest of my family. If there was problem with him backing up he should have come out and asked him if he wanted help backing up. It’s not ok to go out and berate customers and make them feel awful. How horrible. Especially around Christmas.

Ed's store is a reminder of how customer service used t be. You walk in get greeted, all the help and advise you want and need on lawn care, flowers, then once you have made your purchases of bird seed and feeds, they will carry the items out to your car and load. and at this time of year. Brian brings his fresh cut Christmas trees from Wisconsin.

Homey down to earth place where you are treated like a guest. Love their products and services. We get out Christmas tree here every year and get to meet the tree farm grower. It's awesome.

Just love this place for the harder to find items; like Pine Straw, Regular Straw. God Value in Mulch and they load it into your vehicle! Love the animals that roam the place too!

They have expert advice from growing just about anything to the eradication of weeds and vermin. This place is a jewel. Highly recommend going in there and speaking with them with any thing you need associated with lawn and garden.
