I had recently lost my dog which I had for 15 years. Myself and my other dog were both sad and lonely. My niece shared her good experiences with Animal House and we went. The staff was very kind and helpful. They also gave us space and time to choose. But they were available to answer any questions. We love our new "Teddy Bear"

Have been coming here for years. The place is small but mighty. Maria grooms my dog extremely well. She deserves a raise honestly. She’s very polite, sweet and caring (so much so I feel like we are good friends). Not to mention she’s always available when in need. I cannot recommend her enough. She

Our family adopted Daisy on 5/7/23. She is the BEST addition to our family. She is full of personality and just a joy to have. She has made our family complete. Animal House helped us with any and all questions we had. Which were quite a few … I am so happy we found Daisy through them and highly recommend Animal House for any or all of your pet needs. My adult Daughter recommended them to me. So two happy repeated customers here. We also use their grooming services they are fantastic as well.

Customer service was good. Everyone we encountered was very nice and friendly. Answering our questions. We purchased hermit 🦀 for our daughter and food along with whatever she needed for the 🦀. They have all kinds of animals too.. The 🐕 🐶 are all so very cute.. They have animals that need forever home's. So if you are ready for a pet you should definitely go check this place out!

I’d like to mention a few things about this establishment.when you walk in you can an overwhelming stench. I understand with many animals it’s hard to keep up with, but it was absolutely disgusting. Other than the rancid smell, it is also EXTREMELY cluttered and disorganized. There were several people there standing I don’t see what’s so hard about cleaning the store while not busy. It was very off putting. Now let’s talk puppies. They have little areas with puppies. There are easily 5-10 puppies in each little circle. There is NOT enough room for them to function or do anything but lay ON TOP of each other. Not to mention it’s suspect where they get their puppies, and how they are treated.Other animals? Yeah their amphibians are in horrible health. All skinny and dull. Against our best judgement We got a couple frogs. Well they are dead within the month, while the other frogs in a different tank (same breed and care just bought different places) are thriving. It is disgusting how this place is ran, and I would highly suggest you avoid it like the plague. We will not be returning.

Absolutely love this place! We got our Lainey girl from them last March and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. She is perfectly healthy and they had all of her records ready when we met her. She has the cutest little mow-hawk between her eyes and apparently all her brothers and sisters do too. The owner was so nice and so helpful. We already had an older golden and wanted to get her a friend to help keep her young. They were a perfect match! Thank you so much Animal House for helping us gain a new family member!

My experience at Animal House was a lot better than my experience at PetLand in Fairfield.

Animal House is an amazing place to get your pets. I recently got a cat and a puppy (4 days apart). They were friendly, knowledgeable, & caring. All the animals looked well cared for and loved. I got a cat for my granddaughter and it was checked out by my vet with a clean bill of health, I knew it would. Four days later (I visited everyday in that 4 days) I brought home my puppy! A spunky little Maltese! I never thought I would be able to get one of these beautiful dogs as a puppy. Animal House made it possible and did not charge an arm and a leg, the cost was below any where I have checked prior to stumbling on Animal House. THANK YOU ANIMAL HOUSE!!

We have visited Animal House on several occasions and were impressed at how well the pets are cared for and the owners and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My husband surprised me last week and took me there to adopt a puppy to join our 4 yr old Poochon. Boy was he surprised when we came home with two little Schnoodle boys. Gunner and Colt. They are so cute. Fun and full of energy and healthy. We would recommend Animal House to anyone looking to adopt a new fur baby.

I'm giving 2 stars because the employees were nice. We were looking for a bunny or rabbit. Im handicap and almost couldn't get through the opening. As soon as we walked in it smelled really bad. Beautiful dogs, some expensive, but they were very dirty and some looked sick. We were told rabbits were upstairs and I don't have a problem with stairs but these were steep and small. Took me 2 minutes to get up. The upstairs smelled worse. About 20 parakeets in only one cage, rabbits were caged except for 2 and they get rotated between the one open area. I've done extensive research and I knew more than the guy did. He wasn't rude or anything just lack of knowledge. Overall this place is way too small and smells so bad for so many species of pets and it's nowhere near handicap accessible. I wouldn't buy anything from there.

We purchased a puppy from here not knowing much about the place and he came home with giardia and a respiratory illness at just 8 weeks old. They do offer reimbursement if a puppy is sent home sick but I did not want to bother with them from that point on. They were friendly but we now assume that they are indeed puppy mill dogs Please rescue if you can! We just rescued another from a puppy mill & now the mill is shutting down! We can make a change!

If you are Black, you might as well not bothered going to animal house. They don’t speak to you nor do they want to sell any animal to you. We stood around waiting for someone to come and answer our questions. There were two other customers in there, a couple, who they seem to gravitate to, all while ignoring us. Terrible experience. Black customers be warned.

Courtney from the Animal House was very polite and kind . I adopted Savannah 11/1/2022 and I have no regrets Savannah has been the best cat ever, it took her some time to adjust and get used to me and my daughter but as you can see from these pictures she’s living her best life and I have absolutely no complaints. Thank you Animal House. Savannah is such a good girl and loves Christmas music and Christmas lights. At night she sleeps at my bed sight and watches me sleep. She will jump in the bed or my daughters to “check on us”. I am currently trying to get a friend for Savannah through Pet Co. as I believe Savannah deserves a friend lol. But by far Animal House was the perfect place to check for a furry friend. Sometimes when you’re going through a tough time, people aren’t the best thing for your mental health. I have found so much comfort in my furry friend. We listen to music together, watch movies, and a cuddle with rubs when she’s in the mood. Thank you again Courtney ! If you have questions about cats/dogs Courtney was amazing at answering all my questions !

I adopted a puppy from Animal House this past weekend. Everyone at the store was helpful, kind, and responsive. My puppy became sick a day after I got him, I got him into the vet Animal House recommended the minute they opened on Monday. He had to stay over night and is on some medication now to help with symptoms. Animal House has been amazing during this process. Animal House not only paid the vet bill but have also called me to check in on my puppy multiple times. They truly care and have gone above and beyond what is required. My sweet pup is 8 weeks old and is already potty trained. I was amazed when I brought him home. You can tell he came from a breeder who also cared and started him on the potty training journey early. So grateful for my new puppy, Mt Pleasant Vet and Animal House.

Great experience! Parking is a little janky, but that's no big deal! Puppies were happy and well taken care of, as well as the other animals! Staff was knowledgeable and ready to help and there were soooo many goodies to buy! They let me play with all the puppies I was interested in, in a playpen in the back. It was awesome!! Personable people, clean store and stocked to the brim! After my puppy adoption, they put a pink tie on him!! And every adoption pic goes on their social media, which I think is super cute!!Big fan of this place and I suggest everyone with a pet, or looking for one, to visit!!!

Employees are very friendly and quick to help! They will tell you about the breed, answer any questions you have, and let you play with the puppies. They will also help get you set up with everything you need for when you go home!

After the loss of one of our guinea pigs we searched all over for a new friend for our other pig. We wanted to adopt and when we found the Animal House we knew right away it was the right place. I called and spoke to Stacy and it was clear she understood and respected the social nature of guinea pigs and cared deeply for the ones in her care. When we went in all the animals were happy, healthy and energetic. The cages were all clean and the building, although small, was well maintained. And now we have two new furballs, Luna and Willow. I highly recommend the Animal House!

Adopted a Bernese Mountain Dog (Moses) from here in February of 2022. He is the best, most obedient, loyal, clumsy boy ever. He cost $1,000 which is amazing compared to other pet stores. He has an umbilical hernia, but it’s nothing that should require surgery per his vet. Overall, he’s a healthy happy dog!I’m waiting on them to have poodles and then I’ll adopt again!

I find pet stores where the owern/operater works in the business they own makes for a better business. And this pet store is one of those. My parents just adopted a beautiful brown mini schnauzer a few days ago.

I had an awesome experience at Animal House. I came home with the cutest, most adorable 8 week old puppy (pom-poodle) that my 11 yr. old poodle Kandi picked out to take under her wing! I love these fur babies! Thank you Audrey and Mike for your kind hosptality and professionalism.

I have had great experiences with Animal House. There was a miscommunication about a time to view puppies. And Mike went above and beyond to make it right. We wound up being a back up appointment if someone didn't take one . We were able to come meet our new precious pup and take her home the same day! Soonie just received her well check and her vet stated that she looks and sounds good on all accounts. No underlying health concerns at this time.

I got my basset hound Buddy here almost 13 years ago. I've only had the one experience with them, but the dog is still healthy (aside from going blind) and most importantly, happy!

Large selection of pure breed dogs. People are not helpful at all though. Had to research the Boston terrier I got for my grand daughter on my phone because a white chick there just stood watching me like I was going to try to steal a dog and didn't offer any assistance. If you can find the breed you want somewhere else with better service...do so.

All the animals seemed to be sedated. Usually puppies are up jumping around especially when being petted and they didn't move. They was hot to the touch and out out of it.
