Terrible experience with rude workers that only care about getting your money, was very fishy on how she came up with extremely high price, she showed me it on her calculator app! The super smell like piss and come from puppy mills with health issues. It’s very sad.

We bought a puppy from Petland in Topeka KS on 2/20/2022. We were offered 5 different deferred interest payment plans. We ultimately chose the Petland credit card, as the staff told us the interest would be deferred for 24 months on a promotional plan. When we received our first bill, we found that we are being charged 29.99% in interest. We would NEVER agree to paying interest on this type of purchase. We contacted Petland Team Solutions and requested the remaining balance be put on a new plan, with deferred interest this time. They said they could not do anything because the paperwork we signed “would have stated the financial plan”. The paperwork we signed states “I agree to pay for these goods or services according to the terms of my Petland Credit Card Agreement and if applicable, any Promotional Credit Plan, which may apply to this transaction.” Since we were told we were signing up for a promotional plan, we signed the receipt thinking that the wording “if applicable, any Promotional Credit Plan” applied to our agreement. We filed a complaint with the BBB and Petland responded by saying they only offer a few promotional plans but only a couple of times a year and they weren’t offering any at the time we made our purchase. This was a huge surprise to my husband and I because not only did they not honor the payment plan they promised us, they presented us with offers that didn’t exist at all. We will pay this off and take our business elsewhere. We can only hope this helps others make an informed decision before making any substantial purchases with Petland.

Did nit get satisfactory referral to a reputable vet. Agreement was with Coyne Veterinarian and I am uncomfortable having my dog spayed there. Not even examining the dog again after not having seen the actual vet in 4 months. No bloodwork etc for surgery. Then store unwilling to make allowance for another vet

Petland, Bellaire,TX. Date 09-12-2022Walked in store with my spouse and two employees chasing each other. Female employee chasing a male employee. I would fire them immediately. Poop odor hit me at front door. No one said may I help you are would you like to see a dog. Male employee stood at register the whole time with phone in hand I guess talking are playing a game. Walked around to see dogs they looked depressed and looked like not fed much food. Depressed would mean never let out cubicle daily to walk/run maybe once.This place need people who understand and care for animals. Where's the Manager? Where's a real Vet Tech? Try moving store to other end of Westheimer (Galleria) are Meyerland area. Maybe you would sell more and not have dogs there till they are grown. Oh and 10 minutes before I left the female employee was chasing the male again. Wow really. Get a Manager and train your employees. Take care of dogs like if you care about them and not just making money for the Company. Be particular who you hire when it comes to animals.. CEO of Petland fly in and visit this store.

I would give Petland stores zero stars if I could. I got a ferret from the Knoxville store and told the girl that I needed a female ferret. She told me that I had 30 days to take it back. She sold me a male ferret. I called and they refused to take the ferret back and refund me my money because it had been 9 days and you were only allowed 7. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager said, "I don't know what you're talking about, nobody from our store would say that. So, no we will not take the ferret back." She had a few other "choice words". I simply told her that people can misspeak and that both me and my dad and a few other people had heard her say it was 30 days. The girl that waited on me was named Emily and was a younger girl. Please do not give Petland your business and be cheated like I was. I wasted my hard earned money and my time at this store and I have never been treated so badly in my life. There is no excuse for people to treat their customers so badly.

I was warned not to deal with Petland but ignored the warning. I also should have read all the reviews. After seeing a puppy that my elderly mother wanted I contacted Petland. Several l times I asked a very simple question wanting to know how much the puppy would be to adopt. I received everything BUT the price.(So all of our puppies have a bunch of benefits they come home with! For starters, did you know about our Puppy for a Lifetime program? This means as long as you shop here every 60 days for food and two other purchases, we will always provide a new puppy for free (as long as it was in the same price range). We also send you home with everything you will need for your new puppy! This includes a training den, treats, vitamins, toys and training supplies. All of our puppies also recieve outstanding vet care, up to date vaccines and deworming! When you pick out a puppy it will have a Microchip already under your name and a Help Me Find My Pet registration done as well! )Still not answering my question. I have terrible cell phone service so after she was going to grab the info on the puppy and call,I went outside waiting on her call. Fifteen minutes later with lots to do I text that later would be better. SEVERAL texts later after telling Rayne maybe I could get the price in a text. STILL she was not willing to give up info on the price. I kept explaining I lived three hours away and need a price. I explained we would go elsewhere and also asked her NOT to text me back. Still she continued. She was relentless and also was calling. Telling me about how busy she was at her job,blah,blah,blah. Had she answered my question the first time instead of telling me she didn’t understand the question,I might have continued about the puppy. I finally had to block her!!!

The guy that runs the marketing is a complete jerk. There was yelling, screaming and laughing in the background like they were at a bar. I couldn't hear what he was saying. We have a budgeted amount and would rather not drive 40 minutes if we can't afford the puppy we are interested in. Can I please have a direct phone number and not have to deal with the jerk forcing me to reserve a "playtime. Just give the price already - STUPID!

They wanted $6000 for a border collie! Yes 6K! The puppies are kept in horrible conditions and small cages some are isolated from others. I don’t See how all of them find good loving homes on the asinine pricing and from my understanding a lot of the puppies come with health issues. Investigating these puppies are also mill puppies.

I had an appointment to purchase a puppy from the pet land in Henderson NV. As I was driving to the appt they called to say they sold the puppy. I went there and asked them why they made an appointment if they were going to sell the puppy. The sales manager and the general manager approached and were nasty as hell. Both power hungry and said they don’t answer to anyone. I saw an ad for the Las Vegas Petland and shared my experience on FB and she explained that they were independent. Then some nasty person jumped in and said “thanks for the evaluation. Glad we didn’t waste out time. What kind of customer service is that? I want to find who owns the Henderson NV petland. Thank you

I bought a Quaker about 6 months ago and the bird became immediately attached to my special needs son. 5 days ago, my son went in to check on her and he noticed something was not right. He brought her out to me and we both watched as she settled down in the crook of his arm and died. The previous day she was all normal then the next day dead. When I called the store, the manager said he could look up the problems with Quaker parrots and call me back, I guess he thought I was not smart enough to do that myself. He did offer to give me $100 off my next bird---JERK

They sold us a sick bearded dragon came in the next day I got told that they would exchange it for me so I came back with the bearded dragon the next day for them to tell me there was nothing they could do because i didn’t buy the $200 tank and that it was our fault that it was sick but the bearded dragon was acting like that before we got home with it the manager was super rude and when we was leaving he started talking to another manager saying that we shouldn’t own a bearded dragon! I’ll never buy an animal from that location again🙄

I went in looking at a dog. Was told by one staff member that my monthly payments would be $24 for the dog. I went ahead and filled out an application for credit and left the store to do other shopping. When I came back in for the puppy I asked several times what my payment would be because I was suspicious that the payment would really only be $24. I was not told this information or the total price of the dog until I was handed the receipt to sign with the total price being $4800! I asked right there at the register if it was too late to change my mind and was told that I would only receive half the money credited back to the petland credit card. At this point I felt like I had no choice, pay $4800 for a dog, or 2400 for nothing so I continued to sign. Even though I had asked to cancel before papers were signed and was told I would not be eligible for a full refund and obviously didn’t take possession of the dog and definitely did not leave the store with the dog I was only eligible for half refund. After requesting to speak to a manager and not being allowed to do so bc there was no manager in the building I left the dog there and walked out with that short trip to petland costing me over $2000. I have never been so appalled at the ethics of this whole situation. I am a responsible adult and have never experienced anything like this before. So far cooperate is “investigating” but I will never step foot in another petland.

Went in with my mother and she was approached by a employee who boldly told her in a fully packed store with around 15-20 people that she needed to leave because they had a picture of her stealing in a prior visit. My mother was very embarrassed of being accused of stealing so we got the police involved. They wouldn't show the photo to either us or the police.Wont be returning anytime soon

If I could give ZERO stars, I absolutely would. I really try not to bash businesses But… just went in Petland in Charleston WV just to look. A little chihuahua’s weenie was stuck out. Like ALL out and was clearly not going back in. I tell one of the workers and her exact words weee “ok, it’s not a problem “. My blood instantly starts boiling. I again say, it’s all out and not going back in. Her next reply was “maybe he doesn’t want it to go back in”. I said ok then, I’ll just leave before I say something not very nice. Anybody with common sense can tell the difference of when it’s excited and out and OUT OUT. Yes, I’m calling corporate 😡😡😡

I am currently trying to get ahold the owner of the vineyard Petland because he or she keeps dodging me . I was sold a pet with a hereditary disease and he needed many checks up with the vet and even two trips to the emergency room. The managers and owner does not care about my family’s pain and suffering as we had to watch our little Maltese die from a liver disease that was hereditary. We watched him have seizures go blind. Watch out for pet land they are selling pets that have hereditary diseases. Even in their policy it shows that the pet has a 3 year warranty ( which I have all the paperwork for). Very upset will be contacting corporate in the morning, looked online which said closes at 8 pm also called the store to double check which an associate told me 8pm, I drove all the way across town (45mins) got there at7:20pm and the doors were locked an associate came out and told me they were closed and was very rude when I assured her it was only 7:20pm. This was very inconvenient and I will no longer be using this store unless things are made right. And I encourage other people to do the same.

I bought a Seresto dog collar at the store in Robinson Township for $76,00 on 5/3 and it was too small. They would not let me return it the next day on 5/4 even though it was un-opened. The manager was rude and said that they do not do returns can't you read the sign?

We bought our Golden Retriever, a $7,500 one at that, and met everything the warranty required but since his passing they have came up with every excuse to to not honor the lifetime warranty. Stay away from this place!!!! They seem to care care at the time of purchasing but not a minute after

I tried calling ahead before going into the the pet shop, I was rudely left on hold the whole time while we were on are way there. Got to the mall, walk into the petland while still on hold. I asked one of the associates, which was a young man, what was the usual wait time when calling them? The associate (the young man) said nomore then 2 or 3 minutes, well, I was on hold for 30 minutes and still was on hold while talking to the only associate that help me and my son. The supervisor nor the manager did not assist, in that matters, Very poor customer service, and to top it off the Bullmastiff we wanted to buy was $2,700.00, I wouldn't never spend that type of money with a company that treat their customers like that...

Horrible service, rude associate, tried to rob us for ($5000) for italian greyhound. Bought 3 in the past several years, the most was $2300. Caged had way too many puppies. Whole operation looked chaotic. Feel terrible for puppies.

The people are friendly and I go here regularly and have never seen a problem with the animals nor have I ever had a problem out of any of the animals I've gotten from them so I don't know what everyone else is talking about 🤷 but everyone has their own experience differently I would recommend going to petland myself and the financing is NOT a rip off

They treat their Zebra Finches like dirt. here are so many birds in the cage that some are stressed and plucking their own feathers out to the point that they are bleeding.

I had an issue with one of the stores and owner of that store. I called corporate to see if they could handle the situation and I cannot get a hold of anyone and I have left many voicemails. How can a company treat a customer that way. I will never be returning.
