I never call to report workers but this lady was something else. There is no sign on the self checkouts stating you cannot purchase gift cards at it. We had no way of knowing. Instead of being nice about it, she decided to be mouthy and rude shouting loudly "Oh my God people why do you do this!? You can't purchase these here!" She truly embarrassed my boyfriend and myself infront of the other customers. I truly hope that Sue took care of it. You can't act that way when you're working retail. If it bothers you that much then that's not your line of work.

so i was just in here and there was a long line of people to check out, NO cashier in site. we all stood there for 10 minutes, the self checkout lane was held up saying "customer needs assistance" so no one could use that , i looked for a bell to ding to get someones attention there was none, a man loudly yelled HELLO ? NEED SOME HELP? multiple times and no cashier ever came. people starting walking out. someone walked out WITH ITEMS IN HAND. an old sweet elderly woman beside me had a cart full of things that she obviously spent time shopping for , she said "well i guess i dont need these things that urgently " and left her cart and walked away :(( broke my heart she could barely walk , all her wasted time and effort because, idk ? where did the cashier go? absolutely not ok , i hope someone goes in and steals the whole store because they could definitely get away with it and this isnt the first time this has happened at this dollar general but this was the worst. usually someone shows up after a couple minutes becaue they were just stocking the aisles but this time no one came at all. i dont know if the employees walked out on the job or what but thats a very bad and potentially dangerous situation to leave a stores door PROPPED WIDE OPEN with NO employee or cashier to be found !!!

The place is too small. The aisles are cramped and if it ever caught on fire everybody inside would die. The company either won't or can't hire enough staff to properly run it. As a result,everything is disorganized and the lines are long. That being said they have a few employees that are the ones getting the five stars. They are kind and compassionate. All of them deserve a raise and if it wasn’t for them and me living only a block away, I would not go back.

Absolutely the worst store to ever go in. Yes.. it's worse than Walmart. Always VERY understaffed. Always out of basic necessities and the store is cluttered and dirty. Also be prepared stand in line for a half an hour while the register reboots itself or the cashier is on the phone or talking to someone.

I go to this store everyday, it is much improved since remodel but you still have to wait in line every time you come. Sometimes the isles are a little cluttered but NOTHING like it was before. Over it's a great store, friendly,helpful staff. They also have an excellent freezer section now.

There's always someone to help you if you need it. They have an ecclectic assortment of general store items along with a large offering of retro sodas. There's also a service desk where they can duplicate keys, replace your torn window screen, or mail your FedEx package. Love this place!

Some really nice business in the little strip. And the Mexican restaurant Los Mariachis is amazing and always has wonderful service. They have recently updated the Boost Mobile and I've recently noticed there is a Game On at the very end. Now if only they would bring back Big Bear or Community Market! The salad bar was delicious!

Every time I shop there has been a good experience. Store could stand to be a bit larger but the employees can't help that. Never had one single complaint while shopping there.

Had to use restroom and no toilet paper, my wife went up to ask them for supplies for restroom was given no answer. I tried calling the store and it said number no longer in service. Lights on sensor kept going off every 15 seconds. Once done and went out to talk to store person was told by them i should have checked it first before using and mean mugged. Will not shop there again

This store is so much better organized. But the theft rate is also very high here as well. They need people like at Wal-MartI call them the peeper kreepers lol but on a serious point higher a theft prevention employee. The numbers will decrease. Plus you should also put a stop to customers bringing in back satchels or book bags because i know from experience they load those things down and get away with it. You see they come on with the bag looking heavy go to the isle they are taking from then unload what ever is in the bag and put the stolen merchandise in to make it look like its the same for when they walk out.

Nice store. Good prices and plenty to choose from but expect a long line when you're ready to check out. They've got two registers and most of the time only one cashier.

The store at 609 Central Ctr, Chillicothe, OH 45601 has some of the rudest male cashier's I've ever seen. DO NOT TRY TO USE COUPONS AT THIS STORE!! He was very rude about it and flat out told me if I wasn't using digital coupons do not shop here. I was so upset when I left I will never shop at this store again. I don't know his name because he was not wearing his name tag either.

Store just smells awful, very crowded isles full of things. Hard to fit more then 2 people in the isles. Staff was nice. Lots of stuff there. But just dirty

I like it because there's a Dollar general there and Decks and Dice is located down in that mall too. They also have a great hardware.

Some cashiers are friendly and some are not as friendly. It can be a hit or miss for items you need to be in stock. In my opinion, they don't keep some aisles easy to move around because of the stock carts.

I love Dollar General they have everything I need when I need it fairly priced, store is usually clean and the manager is a super sweet woman always a pleasure to speak with.

There are a couple of community staples here, such as Napa auto parts, and Los Mariachis Mexican restaurant. Otherwise, it's a failing corpse of a once thriving shopping center.
