Don’t let the negative reviews scare you!!!! This campground is under a new ownership at the end of the 2022 season. I am new to the campground and I can assure you that the new owners are awesome and have exceeded my family expectations. They are very helpful and are truly making this a family oriented campground. They have several events planned for the 2023 season along with children activities. We have arrived here with a camping group of 6 families all with several children. 12 adults and 16 Children!!!

I only gave 1 star because I couldn’t post a review as a ZERO! I wouldn’t waste the money at this place. There were rules for everything from types of signs you could hang, when you can walk around the park or drive carts. Nothing to to do there. Everything was an extra charge. The female owner was horrible with people and always rude. She was condescending, always argued and talked to people like they were stupid. The owners were going through a divorce, didn’t get along or speak to each other. None of our questions could be answered by the office. We kept being told to call maintenance man, who told us to talk to the office. Nothing but a run around. Our light covers we’re stolen off our camper. The electric was being used when we weren’t there, which we had to pay for (not included with site). And that’s just a few of the issues. People all around us were pulling out their campers. We paid for a full year and had to leave early our 2nd season due to a death. And the office (rude lady) threatened us for payment. I explained our situation and was told they would pro rate for us, but needed payment to retain our spot, then she refused to refund our pro rated amount unless they rented our lot, which surprise, never happened, despite us talking to a neighbor whose friend wanted the spot. We lost a lot of $ here at a horrible time for our family. Absolutely awful!

1st year here as a seasonal camper and 1st year for the new owners and I can’t say enough great things about Fireside and the owners I absolutely think this is the best campground in the Tri state area and a definite place to stay on your way through. Will definitely be staying as a seasonal camper for years to come 🤙

Very nice and remote. Plenty of spots to choose with privacy. Very relaxing and enjoyable place to camp.

Under new ownership the old Paradise Lake Park Campground is now Fire Lake Campground, This is really a nice campground if your wealthy, But if if your middle class or below you can't afford a seasonal site. Years ago it was a campground anyone could enjoy,

Stayed here for the week of July 4th. Beautiful property and grounds, definitely needs someone to help with amenities. You can only swim at their beach spot on the weekends, if there is an attendant there, if you stay during the week they close everything so you have to find something to do. The country store…..is not a country store. There’s no camping supplies you would think would be inside the store, you are not allowed to walk through the front door, you have to go through the side entrance and walk through the maze of weird yard sale items like old dolls and clocks and other weird items. Definitely has lots of potential but just wasn’t the funnest for the family due to not having much to do through the week.

Since the new owner took over it it a wonderful place to be. I grew up there and it's starting to look like it did then. The new owner are the nicest people I've met. I'm so happy they bought it. Anyone will love to camp there

We come up from GA every year for 10-12 days of camping at different campgrounds during 4th of July week. We will never come here again. Reserved ahead of time with half down and no refunds. When we got here she changed the price. Daggone near $700 for 2 tent sites/5 adults/3 kids which we had to pay for a 3yr old and a 3mo old. The owner was very rude and disrespectful. We have not had any hot water for showers for 4 days for whatever reason and we were told there won't be any hot water before we pack up camp. NEVER AGAIN. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

This place is very nice. Lake is full of fish caught over 60 in one day. We did catch and release but would have been a nice dinner. But what really makes this such a nice place are the owners. Mike and Sue are nothing short of awesome. Mike went way over and above helping us newbie RV campers. Even in the rain thanks so much Mike. Beauty of lake in early morning awesome

I understand that they have signs posted about no cell phone usage around or near the office, but the owner was extremely rude to my wife and I. There's no reason to be rude to your customers especially when it's an honest mistake. Her alone, is why I will never return. The roads to the site were really muddy and they haven't laid new gravel outside of the office area. The lake is beautiful but there's seasonal campers all around blocking view and access.

Good luck here. We were going to buy a camper owner of park didn't want to meet us to give rules sent them by email at 10pm. She told me I'd have to pay her $200 for what she called a transfer of ownship plus lot fees of 1775.00 not a premium spot or anywhere near a lake. Also $100 membership fee. So much is insane. Told me not to throw garbage in dumpsters when cleaning up the site we were going to buy. If you are considering buying here get your hands on rules and fees first. Seems more like a pricy prison than a family campground that actually not beautiful. Buyer beware. The lady owner is not friendly. You can put a camper in florida alot less price than she charges

This is the 3rd year we have given this place a chance, but I don't think I'm returning next year. The only good thing I really have to say is that the fireworks show is a nice amenity. For starters, the "lake" has weird hours for swimming and we've never been able to catch it open. Next are the bathrooms, last year we stayed in lot RR12 and the bathroom across the street had a hole in the floor and no soap. This year, there are burn marks everywhere in the men's from someone with a lighter. I'm not sure why these haven't been cleaned up. The women's bathroom on this side has 2 clogged toilets of 3 and no papertowels. There are also two wasp nests on the ceiling which need addressed. The bathhouse is nothing to write home about, but the shower was hot so that's a big bonus for me. Some guy kept going out of his way to walk through our campsites (we had 4 in a row) for the entire trip last year. They came from the tents. Kind of annoying when you have 3 dogs who don't know this person and are constantly on edge. Like others mentioned, it seems that the rules are only enforced some of the time for some people. For example, kids are constantly flying through here on golf carts, and last night people were setting off fireworks all night, even though the paperwork specifically said not to. Now, I'm not "that person" I really do like fireworks, but my dogs are terrified of them, and I wasn't expecting them until Saturday. As such, I didn't get their medicine in them in time to calm them down. I, on the other hand, get interrogated with a flashlight coming back into the park after going to the grocery store at 10pm. I get it, additional guest have a fee, but trust me, I'll pay the $5/person. I'm not trying to pinch pennies and smuggle them in under a blanket in the backseat. On that topic, we typically receive visitors at our site, this location charges PER PERSON not per carload like many places. They even have an armed security guard tonight, Friday, checking cars. Seems slightly over the top if you ask me. They literally just come to my camper and eat my food, they don't even use any amenities. Deters a lot of people from coming by. I don't think the folks running the place really know their map or sites very well. We pull a 38 foot rig and my MIL is at 40 plus. We came to look at sites and were given a list to view, half of which had very low hanging trees in the lot, and the other half were so short we'd be in out in the road. Another site recommended to us was on such a slope I was worried we'd end up down the hill and into the lake. As such, we booked in the "field" I guess is what you'd call it, by the pavilion. Bad decision. We sank at least 8" upon pulling in. It's just not fit for these big rigs. Our water hookup was seized shut, so we "borrowed" one from another site just to have water. The water hookup above us constantly leaks, which is probably causing at least part of the muddy mess. In conclusion, it's run down, but with some TLC it could be nice. Add gravel to your roads, some of them are getting pretty rutted out depending on the area. Add gravel to and or pave your sites. The muddy mess we pulled into yesterday added an additional 4 hours to our setup time. Not very relaxing. The dump station has huge holes, fill them in, add some ac to the bathrooms, it's small amenities like this that make the difference. Spend a few extra dollars per night and find a place with paved or gravel lots if you're in a bigger rig, trust me on this one. Unless of course you're into blasting your country rap while drinking Natty Ice, and watching your children race golf carts up and down the road... Then hey, maybe this is your place.

Since it is under new owners, it's alot more cleaner, more accessible and more things to do.

This place does have a nice lake, but the false advertisement is ridiculous. There were no fireworks for the 4th as stated on their website, Facebook and the papers we received when arriving. The bathrooms are not kept up... there is absolutely nothing but a small swim area for kids. If your looking for a campground to strictly have a fire and sit and do nothing then this is the place for you. This is not a kid friendly place at all. Needs major updating. Doesn’t seem like anything has been updated since the 1970s. We will not be returning.

A good place to fish fun for everyone the owners are really nice! The swimming is always open my family and I go once a week on sundays to fish and swim until 4 and we camp once a month there the bathrooms have toilet paper and soap and showers and the lady is really nice if you read caution signs they will tell you that she can not be around anything with radiation like phones. But she is very nice her daughter is really nice if you dont like friendly people or have a problem with people well then this isn't the place for you because everyone is really nice and very welcoming its really nice and when we camp we camp with a large amount of people yes they pay per person but its so worth it to catch nice fish go out on a row boat and have some fun with family and friends 😊

We were there for 2 seasons. It was quiet. Loved the auction house. The only problem we had was having to keep paying for sewage every other month. We were only up there 4 days a month on weekends. We believe there was a leak in the sewerage tank, which was supposed to be 300 gallon but the owners didn't, so we decided to pull out. Tired of paying $50 every other month for nothing.

Very beautiful park. Accommodates well with everyone of all ages. Pet and golf cart friendly. Fair rates on sites and electric. Will handle all your pumping needs. Very prompt about any failures or problems. Beach is pretty. Could use some work. All in all a great family place to camp.

We are day 4 of 9 right now and we are packing and leaving. I wasted my vacation on this. Nothing here for kids. The lady in front office has a bad attitude. We get charged just to have people visit for dinner. They have a swimming area has not been open they said it would be. Lie after lie. Paddle boats cost money per hr. For kids there is nothing. Its been horrible my sons first time camping and he never wants to camp again. This place is the ghetto of camping. She made it sound wonderful over the phone to get that card number. Wasted my yearly vacation. And my annaversary coming here. I could have left my camper in my side yard and had a better experience. We will be blasting this place everytime we get a chance. Rip off

Great fireworks around Independence Day. Lots of places to walk with swings spread out in a couple different spots. Bathrooms scarce and you aren't allowed to build a very big deck anymore but over all the poker run every Saturday is amusing and access to buildings for private events is great! Good community they've built here, very interesting set ups. If you come, walk through and take a look around!

I grew up at this campground. I took my first steps there. I went there for 14 years. We had to stop once my grandpa and uncle passed away. My grandparents and my uncle and aunt was out there for years way before I was born. They had their own lot there after awhile. I took my first steps out there. It was the most fun campground I’ve been too. I absolutely loved it, there was always something to do. The owners sold it to these new people who currently run it and the parks never been the same. They were strict and we just didn’t like how everything changed. They’ve been running it for years now..but just to visit the place that I called my second home he said I could only visit it for free for 30 minutes then he hunted my mom and I down and said if we wanted to visit longer we needed to pay a crazy fee..well it wasn’t worth it. The camp was the camp I once loved. All my friends I knew since we were in diapers out there..they arent there anymore. My mom one time lived out there and helped around the campground. I really hope the current owners can make it how it originally use to be. I never wanted to go home once I was there, but I haven’t been there since I was about 18 and I’m going to be 24 with a kid on the way and I wouldn’t take my kid out there because there’s nothing there anymore. My dream was to bring my future kid there and have them experience all the fun I did...but it’s not the same anymore and the new campers out there, they look at you like you don’t belong when you’ve been there longer then they have but you just haven’t been there for years. They don’t know how it use to be. I just hope the owners can change somethings around because if so then maybe I would come and visit the place I once called my second home because I tell everyone about this place...always talk good about it but it’s just not the same. But to the current campers who love it there...welcome and I hope you continue to enjoy it!! I’m glad it’s still there and still going but it’s just not what it use to be.

Decent campgrounds friendly people. Staff is good nice big lake. Lots are relatively good size. Only downside Verizon does not work for junk out there. Don't expect internet service or cell phone service in Park

I found the lady in the office to be super friendly and nice. I simply left my cellphone in the truck when I checked in. Large lake that we enjoyed driving around. We enjoyed our weekend very much and will return next year.

Lots of loud drunks that make trouble all night then complain all day it is not a family campground nothing for kids to do. And you can only swim on weekends we are already looking at for a better family place to camp next year as most other family's we talked to are doing the same...

Woman owner is a whackjob.Whole experience was a hassle and we didn't stay but one season. I wouldnt recommend for permanent camping. Never did figure out where the shower house was even after asking. This place was cool and fun in 70s but it just sux now.

We come here every year for a camping weekend. Very nice area, lake and campground. The main bathrooms are in good shape but one closest to the tent area is... well don't go in unless you can't make it to the far ones.

This is a camp grounds with a pond and some amenities. I gave a 3 star because for some reason I wasn't allowed to bring in my phone into the front desk cabin, and most of the bathroom facilities are out of order. Nice place and friendly campers. Rates are weird and constantly change albeit reasonable.

Owner is not very professional and seems to enforce rules differently with different campers. Always looking for a way to add additional charges. Wont allow you to bring your cell phone in the front offices because they "cause cancer"

The owners are very friendly and attentive. I did not get the chance to stay here because they were closed for the season, but they do have full year camping sites available. Very big park, playgrounds and a small lake. Check out their website or give them a call.

We bought a Coleman home on wheels aka travel trailer. I wanted water and trees. Here, we'll have a lake front lot and the trees behind us; and my hostesess, Sue and Ellen were very welcoming, friendly and down to earth.

I invested $20000 in a total restore of my 1979 holiday rambler presidential edition alumna wall trailer . All new interierior redone exterior of with new tires . She beautiful .But since she not not a newer trailer she's not welcome in there rundown facility that can't handle 50 amp trailers or mother coaches .I will advise my club members and all friends in the rv world to avoid this place . Must be rich and buy newer ones only.
