I first contacted Wendy back in April. I work second shift so it was pretty late when I sent her an email. I was shocked when I got a reply back within minutes as I was expecting to get something the following morning. I put down the deposit the following day. Wendy was very understanding when I accidentally emailed the wrong paperwork to her, and that issue was quickly resolved. She was very receptive to communication, and I usually got texts or emails back quickly.The farm itself is very well kept. We were not able to see the kennels themselves due to COVID being in full swing, but the rest of the farm looked very neat and maintained. We got to meet my puppy's parents. They were stunning dogs that looked very healthy and happy. Our vet gave our puppy a clean bill of health the Monday after we got him; healthy skin and coat, no fleas or parasites, healthy weight, all markers for a good start on his life.It has been 2 months since we brought our boy home, and even from the beginning, it was evident to me that Wendy puts a lot of work, love and care into taking care of these dogs until they find a good home. We have had nothing but a great experience with her. I am constantly asked where I got such a handsome dog, and I am always proud to say I got him from Golden Acres Farm.

My husband and I got our first puppy together from Golden Acre Farms ☺️ after putting down our deposit we were added to the list for Spring 2021 and 9 months later it was finally our time to pick up and choose our girl Holly. Wendy is a former vet tech and it was clear she was experienced and running a legit operation on a beautiful farm, where the dogs had space to roam and live comfortably. We couldn’t be happier with the health and wellness of our girl Holly and would recommend her establishment to anyone looking for a healthy, beautiful golden retriever.

We picked up our Teddy boy from Wendy on January 1st! We. Had waited a year for our little buddy and man was he worth the wait! Our vet said that he’s one of the most healthy and well bred goldendoodles she has seen! Teddy is extremely easy to train! He is excelling in Obedience School! Golden Acresfarm did not disappoint! Golden Acre Farms was professional throughout the process and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the kennel. Wendy provided us a folder filled with everything we and the vet needed to know about Archie. Even our vet was impressed with Wendy's care before we got him. I really couldn’t ask for a better Golden!I got my six month old from this breeder and have no regrets! Her kennel has an awesome set up and these dogs are definitely taken care of ! The kennel is CLEAN and they even have heat and Ac in their area ! If I was to ever get another Golden I would go back to her . Healthy rotten puppy here !!

We got our puppy Enzo from Golden Acres Farm in August. This was the first time we worked with a breeder and we were not sure what to expect. Wendy was great about responding to emails and answered all of our questions. As we eagerly awaited our puppy, we did read some of the bad reviews that came in. We were nervous but, as previous dog owners, knew that fleas and worms were extremely common. We prepared ourselves by figuring out the best shampoo for fleas in puppies and got a vet appointment for the Monday after picking him up. As we drove away from the farm with Enzo, we were looking for any sign of fleas but didn't find any. He still got a bath when we got home as a precaution but we never found any fleas on him. Two days later he had a clean bill of health from the vet. Our vet and even the vet techs were impressed with the paperwork we received from Golden Acres Farm.Enzo has been a great addition to our family. He picked up on potty training right away and is learning various other commands. He's met several other puppies to play with and hasn't found a dog he doesn't like. Every walk we take, we receive compliments on his beautiful color. We are so thankful to Wendy and Golden Acres Farm.

Really disappointed in the experience we had with the breeder. Our puppy was infested with fleas, and tested positive for two parasites; hook worms and round worms. I reached out to the breeder to let them know the health/condition of the puppy that we brought home. I was told by the breeder that she originally had concerns about the extent of the fleas that they almost canceled pick up date, and that for the first time in 25 years they were placing a flea fence around the kennel. None of this was communicated to us before picking up our pup. I stated that I would have liked more communication and transparency from the breeder about the flea circumstance. (We barely received any communication through out the experience at all). The breeder began to personally attack me for my request for better communication via email and deflected any responsibility for the condition in which we took the puppy home in. Extremely unprofessional. So many Lessons learned, so many red flags from the start. I was inexperienced since this is my first pup but now I know what to look for in a breeder. I wouldn’t get another dog from this breeder.As for the breeder reply: I never sent the breeder documents from the vet, again deflecting, poor and taking no responsibility for the poor condition of the puppy.

If you believe the bad reviews in any way, PLEASE READ THIS! As someone who has consistently worked on farms, with animals, and training animals my whole life, I am absolutely very impressed. My husband and I got our precious Athena here in January! She is the most healthy and beautiful dog i have ever seen. 100% would recommend! Their high quality dogs would be perfect show dogs! The service is also so family friendly and high quality. You will receive a puppy packet with everything you need to know and some things to help you as you start out with your precious pup. Also, amazing communication the entire way through. We got pictures, updates, etc... I've worked with animals my whole life and on various farms. Their farm is well kept and their animals are very well taken care of. Many people don't understand that worms are totally normal in all baby animals. The farm did not have any worms when I got Athena and she did not have any, however even if the did, it is normal. I really appreciated that they treat for worms, and everything as soon as they can keeping in mind the health of the dogs and puppies, as well as the rest of their animals and pets. Communication was the absolute best. I have seen so many people be rude to Wendy and her family and business, because of their lack of humanity and understanding. Please, don't base things off of a few nasty people. This farm and kennel is the best I've seen (and I have seen many). They work incredibly hard to keep everything to very high standards. Everything is very, very good quality and I have been consistently very impressed. We not only got our absolute favorite dog in the world here, but have gotten the farm fresh meat, eggs, and produce here as well. Again, I am VERY impressed!

We got our little Honey from Wendy, she was very helpful and explained the paperwork and everything. She gave us samples of vitamins to give to our pup as well as a sample of food. She communicated with us through the entire process and made buying our baby girl easy. It was also very inexpensive compared to other breeders in the area. Wendy is a true professional and I would recommend her to anyone wanting a golden retriever!

We adopted our beautiful Winnie from Golden Acres Farm in 2017 after several recommendations. They were always very quick to respond to emails and keep us updated.Winnie is absolutely perfect...smart, sweet and healthy. We were able to meet her parents on sight and sent home with a "puppy kit." The pups were well taken care and obviously loved on by the family.We have enjoyed Winnie so much that we have decided to adopt a second golden retriever puppy from their farm! We are very excited to be adding another pup to the family and can't wait for the pups to arrive. We recommend Golden Acres to anyone looking to add a Golden to the family. They are a 3 hour drive for us but so very worth it!

We purchased 2 golden retrievers from golden acres farm and both are fabulous “mama” dog who keep kids protected. Could not of asked for a better first dog for my son. We board Josey at farm when we go out of town and she loves it- Wendy knows her well and understands her needs from separation anxiety from my son. I email multiple times while out of town to check on her and Wendy always answers ASAP. I have had nothing but positive experiences with breeder- she is fabulous.

We are very pleased with our entire experience with Golden Acres! From the very beginning to puppy pick up, very professional, kind, and the puppies are beautiful!! We were recommended by the Golden Retriever Association of Pittsburgh to come here for a dog. We drove 4 hours and it was worth every mile. Our dog is incredible! It only took him 1 week to learn to ring the bell for potty training . Highly recommend!

Absolutely love the work and effort being made by this breeder. The puppies are so adorable and playful. The sires and dams have a large open space to play in all day long. All dogs are loved and always happy. The "dog house" is a large guest house with air conditioning which is completely different from my previous experience with a breeder who had chain link fences without shade cover. It is beyond obvious these dogs are well taken care of and I would 100% recommend this breeder to anyone and everyone.

This breeder’s lack of empathy on my family receiving a sick puppy from her farm is disheartening. I understand you can’t always help when a puppy/puppies are ill, but in this case I do not think we were told the truth about how sick the puppy was prior to pick up. Within 3 days of pick up we had the puppy at the vet due to his lethargy. While at the vet, it was noted that our puppy was infested with worms and fleas, and had blood counts lower than any dog they’ve ever seen. Yes, Wendy did say the puppies were treated for the worms by “her vet”, however she cannot provide the name of the vet. When asking Wendy about these issues, she essentially stated this was clearly something that happened after he left the farm, placing the blame on us. We had only had the dog for 3 days at this time. Wendy has been extremely cold and rude in her communications regarding our dog and her response was “if the puppy is suffering put it down. Your emotional attachment to the dog is not a good reason to keep the dog alive”. As someone who has dealt with multiple other breeders in the past, I can say that I have never experienced something like this. Clearly someone just in it for the money with absolutely no regard on our puppy’s well being. The extensive vet bills we now have trying to nurse this puppy back to health (with Wendy having absolutely no remorse or sympathy at all) pales in comparison to how sad we are about our puppy’s illnesses. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere if searching for a puppy.

Golden Acres is a great place to get golden retrievers and goldendoodles. I purchased a goldendoodle last year from them and my dog is so smart and extremely healthy. The process was simple and they were very good at communicating with me. They were very informative on how to properly take care of my doodle and always answered all my questions through our journey in receiving our doodle. I highly recommend this breeder!! Any negative reviews in Google are not a true reflection of this breeder.

So many negative reviews- eventually you reap what you sew. I would urge the people who have been messed over to file complaints with the akc and attorney generals office so eventually they will investigate all the claims. All things need to be footprinted I suggest people either recording when they pay or pay by money order where I can be tracked. Look at your puppies fur and see if they have flea dirt looks like pieces of dirt in their fur. Look at your puppies gums before getting the dog.This review is appropriate. As I have freedom of speech. Seems to be the same song and dance.

We could not have been more pleased with Wendy and Golden Acres Farm! We (i.e. me) were so excited that many, MANY questions were asked via their Facebook and chat- answers were always timely and detailed. Our perfect pup is such a delight, so healthy and has a wonderful temperament. Facilities for the dogs were wonderful. Wendy took the time to give us some tips and knowledge on the breed and let us take OUR time picking out our perfect pup. She puts together such a wonderful and cohesive folder for you with all the information you and your vet needs to know. This was our first experience with a breeder and we could not be happier! We have already recommended Wendy and Golden Acres to many other people who are interested in a golden retriever. If we are ever wanting another one, we will DEFINITELY be back!!!

We had been searching for a puppy for a while but were anxious with the vast amount of puppy mills in and around Ohio. I found this breeder and we were welcomed to come for a visit to meet the dogs before we decided to commit to anything. The dogs we met had sweet dispositions and the area in which they were kept was nice and kept clean. Wendy was knowledgable and answered all of our questions. After a few days of thinking things over, we decided we wanted to commit to this breeder - and we are so thankful we did! On pick up day, we drove out to meet the pups and were not rushed in making our decision which meant we got to spend time with and see the personalities of each pup before picking our boy. Our little Tucker is everything we have been looking for in a pup - sweet, cuddly, and playful. He has settled in nicely as a member of our family.

We got a standard red goldendoodle puppy from them in March. She is now 6 months old and 44.5 pounds. She was the biggest in the litter but the most mild tempered! Everyone comments on her soft coat and she still has the most mellow temperament! Never gets the zoomies! You can tell they spent time with her as a puppy making her confident and friendly!

In July 2016 we got our baby girl Ginger. Right from the start she had our hearts wrapped around her little paw. She is super cuddly and very playful. Two years later and she is happy and healthy as ever. The packet that we received from golden acres with Ginger was very informational and even included everything my vet needed to know.We are so happy with golden acres that this past January, we got another and named her Sammie. These two are never apart and always keep each other company. They are a joy to watch when they play and sleep next to each other. Our vet loves to see them because they are always a delight and bring a smile to everyone in the office. Golden acres has made us very satisfied and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new furry golden family member.

We put a deposit down for a puppy, but never got one, because it was a false pregnancy. We understand this can happen, but our issue is that we didn’t find out this was a false pregnancy until the mother’s due date! This proves lack of prenatal care for the mother. Pregnancy should have been confirmed way before.Because of our jobs, we could not wait six months for her next litter to become available. Instead of work with us, she was cold and hard to get ahold of. We’d email her and wait several days for a response only to get a cold, few-worded, rehearsed response.After doing some more digging, we are glad we didn’t get a puppy from her. $600 lost, but we found an excellent breeder who worked with us and even gave us a discount for the horrible experience we had with this breeder! The pictures of her dogs are sad. They look like they were pulled out of a barn for 2 minutes to take a picture really quick.

We got our Layla from golden acres in January. She has been a wonderful HEALTHY addition to our family. When we went to pick her up we were given an abundance of info and a binder to go along with our new pup. The binder had her pedigree and personal notes and pictures of her parents, info about potty training and crate training diet ECT. It included priceless and very important information about vaccination due dates, and vet check ups, vitamins and included samples and enough dog food for the next feeding. The breeder stressed getting acquainted with a vet and that shots would be due soon and to dewrom. The wisdom and tips have been a wonderful guidance and has been just a phone call away. And yes I have called with silly questions and got Wonder answers. Layla came home very clean no fleas and very tired as she had a full day of interactions during puppy selectios of many families as her sibling all left to their new homes. She slept the first day and was very lazy the second as she adjusted to her new home day 3 and beyond their has been no shortage of energy appetite or fun.
