Staff was extremely helpful. I came here to get my cat treats. Everything is cheap I mean after all that’s why they call it the dollar tree. Everybody’s friendly. I like to place cause it’s extremely clean. Will a shop here again? I have to say the answer is definitely yes. Sign me up. I really like this place. There was an item without a barcode and the guy working when ahead and gave me the item.

This was my first time stopping in this particular store, and I will admit - I was an unprepared mess today when I got to the register! I even brought her an item that I had accidentally broken and really didn't want to buy if I didn't have to! Then I had to try 3 or 4 numbers before finding my digital coupons. Thankfully, I was greeted by a very kind cashier, who treated me with unconditional patience! I later learned she was the store manager - so I appreciated her patience even more knowing she surely had many other responsibilities to tend to!

It's a little chaotic but that is most Dollar General's. The staff are always very nice. The shelves have been a little empty but I noticed yesterday the shelves were actually looking much better. Good place if you just need it want to grab a few things.

Let the workers know that there were expired products on the shelves 2 visits in a row and nothing was done. Could've made a customer sick if they purchased their expired milk. Still gonna shop here though because it's the only store in Chesapeake.

Prices are generally a little more than Walmart, but without all the crowds of people. Also, they sometimes have things I'm looking for that for whatever reason Walmart has decided to not stock anymore. This particular store seemed fairly clean and the checkout was quick and friendly.

It's ok. Close to my house. One girl that works there, I think she's the manager, is very rude. But everyone else is very nice. But they hardly ever stock their shelves or get anything new.

Good selection of stuff but horrible placing of items. The pet isle is also the discount isle and the random stuff thrown together isle. Rest of the store is pretty well kept though. I will say that I don't think I have been to another Dollar General with such a selection.

I stood at the counter waiting to purchase my items for 15 minutes no workers to be found. Customers kept walking in but still no sight of a worker. I had 4 items all of which were drinks from the cooler. I’m very upset i had to walk out without my stuff.

I usually go to any other one because they don't have certain things that my kids eat but I tried it again....and had to run to store when I got finished still lol. But usually pretty clean and workers are nice

Girl in the back of the store told us to go up front for bathroom key. TheLady upfront claimed they lost it. The men's room was unlocked and hasn't been cleaned in a while and had no paper towels.

The store is clean, well stocked and reasonably priced merchandise. The check out person was friendly and helpful. Also there is adequate parking. Good overall experience.

Clean, well stocked & nice cashiers. In a small town like Chesapeake, a store like this can make things easy or miserable. Thankfully, this location is helpful...and saved us several trips across the river.

It was a horrible experience the manager told my 10 year old to get her merchandise and hurry up then she came back and told me I needed to hurry it was 10:00 and I asked well are you allowed to kick people out she said excuse me I said are you allowed to kick people out she said I just kicked a man out for stealing I said Ok were not stealing. I go to the front to cash out spent 70.00 I walk out the door she says wow I said I'm sorry your miserable miserable she said excuse me I repeated my self she said no I just don't like the people that come into my work. Can't believe the maturity the manager had exp in front of a 10 year old I was mind blown I was in the store maybe 15 minutes and was getting what I needed wasn't playing around.I understand they were closing but she had to rite being so rude. I will never go back into that store.

What can I say that you don't already know about Dollar General. The staff at this particular location are friendly. I even invited the whole gang over for Sunday dinner once. All were in attendance.

Clothes outside on sidewalk NOT marked down. Wasted my time going through them, only to be told that they were not marked down, they were inventory that they wanted to get rid of. (Other items marked down near the clothes) ☹️

Shelves are usually in disarray. Never enough people working. While the grocery store next door is closed they should of had more people working and increased stock.
